So if the GSW were chasing a playoff spot they would have rested their players in case of the same playoff they may not make? I still don't understand the logic of resting players the way it is being rehashed everywhere.

So there have been 2 bad defensive displays in the last 3 games. It boils down to complacency and playing with the record in mind and I agree. Once you have the complex you can 'out-offense' anyone you stop caring about the points they are scoring against you and keep trudging on, trying to just outscore them. I believe this explains the Boston and Wolves games. But in a bid to create enough drama for the playoffs and for naysayers to be excited, people start over-analyzing the losses with doom and gloom chants everywhere.

Wait, the Spurs barely beat the Jazz 88-86, squander 2 10+ leads and need a clutch 2pt shot to win and they are praised for it, but GSW beats the same spectacularly defensive Jazz by 7, putting 103 past them but people say they're fatigued and burning out? I don't understand.

So the only way GSW look money for the finals is if they blow everyone out (regardless of if they win), but the Spurs are sure to win it as long as they keep out defending everyone?

Smells like double standards to me.
only if there was a fire smiley. You vex oo cheesy
The truth is Pop wants the record but would never say it in the open because he plays every game like it's a championship. Same with Warriors. They wants it but I don't think we can get that 4-0 win either. Both of us won't get the record cos we'll get an away win and would probably screw it up as you said earlier cheesy
Every player wants to make history. Pop cares about that record and much as Green and Curry want the record let's not lie except if Pops rests his guys against Warriors.

Dude they aint gonna win it, lol just stop, Gosh!

Look it aint like they aint prolly if not the best team right now but as far as I am concerned they aren't going to win it back to back, no logic, statistics can explain it when they post the best offensive stats and don't make it to the finals

Before I go all macho on stats, I hope U know stats can be very deceiving and flattering... But let's leave that topic to another day!...

I want to really get you. Obviously you don't like the warriors and don't want to see them repeat. The odds of winning back to back is 1/5 lemme say. So who on your part is winning?

LOL.

He cares about the record. Part of his craft is to act like he doesn't care so there is no pressure on him or his team- after all, you can't lose something you never tried to have.

Pop won't rest players. He won't do it today neither will he do it in the game at Texas. He has to test-run tactics he wants to employ during the playoffs proper i.e WCFs, so he will need such games to assess his team.

If at all, he pretends today because an L at Waracle is almost imminent, he will try as much to protect his 41-0 in the 2nd game. Nobody postpones a record that is in front of them, for another one down the line that nobody guarantees you.

I was going to ask the exact/same thing.

It sounds like the Warriors will lose because I want them to lose. I do not care if they have won the most games, outscored the most opponents, play the best brand of basketball. As long as I don't like them they will not win.

Emotional analysis.

Hahahahaha. Lol. Honestly, in the past 10 games, our defense has been shitty. No doubt. Maybe I would've been able to something if i were close to Kerr. As long as James does not get the Championship, I can live with defeat. My Warriors all the way.

I actually do really like GSW, seriously I have mad love 4 em mostly because I followed Curry career right from Davidson when he won me about $500 jackpot grin , besides that he has always been a natural 3 point shooter which is basically my type of game too, so No it aint like that

The thing is I can love a team to death but also be their biggest critic please don't mind me ave always been like that, I just like to say things the way they are, no strings attached...

Not like I won't like em winning it I just think their odds are way lower despite their stellar season..makes no sense right? It doesn't have to, it is what it is...

Who's gonna win it? My bets on SAS, CLE, LAC and OKC

Peeps are gonna laugh and say LAC?! Seriously? But don't write 'em off that too easily...

Tonight is a good example game of Harden's issues - rockets vs mavs. Just now, mavs went on a 12-0 run. Ok, they got hot right? Unless you were watching Harden. In literally 4 possessions back to back, he either failed to pick up his man, switch on a pick and roll or strolled back to defend after missing a shot. Each time, the remaining 4 guys crowded down the paint, leaving a fifth man open at the 3pt line. Which equals four straight uncontested 3s. Equals 12-0 run.

Obviously his teamates notice, because Beverly just gave him an earful after he refused to show on the pick and roll. Sell, sell, sell! angry
I don't think you have to remind me of James Harden's incompetence on defense. You will soon tell me water is wet. My point is can you replace his scoring and playmaking? Do you have any player in that Rockets squad that can pick up that slack?

So you would rather extend Dwight and give him a max-deal?

Steph Curry. No brainer

Golden State. They have only had 1 blowout loss all season despite injuries to key role players. Teams throw their best shot at them every night and to lose just 9 games is insane. They shouldn't have come out to say they wanted to break the record cos now they have to do it or it might hurt their psyche for the playoffs

Yeah, tough situation. And there are some teams that are desperate enough to offer him max. Im hoping against hope that Morey pulls in a big fish this summer (hello Durant grin). That might be enough to keep Dwight without giving him the max. We still need a better coach and traditional PG - Harden needs to hold the ball less.

Who wins the finals: I have a weird feeling the Spurs don't have the legs if a series stretches and that includes the first round, i am going with the Warriors.

Why will Durant leave OKC and Westbrook to come and play with Dwight Howard?

The Rockets or any other team for that matter would be stewpid to give Dwight a max deal. He blew a chance at greatness refusing to learn under Kobe. Now not only is he banged up he is merely wafting through the league and can no longer be rated as one of the top 3 or even top 5 Centers in the league anymore

Your team will never be relevant with Dwight as its anchor no be swear

Shaquille spoke my exact thoughts, depending on the score after half time, if the score is worth a fight he keeps his core and tries to win the game other wise fringe players finish the game.

I think the Jazz would make the playoffs leaving a straight fight between Mavericks and the Rockets. The Mavs might edge it not because they are better or have the easy run-in but just because the Rockets are a bad joke rn

drinkmorewater:

PHX, LAL, MINN, SAC, that's the rockets last 4 games irrespective of the ground

MEM, LAC, UTH, SAN that's Dallas last 4 games

Now looking at that, the rockets surely have an easier run in!

The only respect I have for mark cuban is that he has won a a championship ring, especially with that team that really only had Nowitski, it aint easy but he (MC) has pulled one down for dallas which is better than going a decade or so without one!
Shey I told you its not by schedule. Now the Mavs only need 1 more win or 2 out of their last 4 and it won't matter if the Rockets are facing Dodan Warriors in their last 3 games
