Hey everyone. am Jeenah by Name.
Actually this got my friends and I talking for a long time. Some were like" why not start giving birth after wedding" and some were like " Why giving yourself stress immediately after wedding?"
I want you all to air out your opinions and views about this, for me I would rather bring my husband into an agreement that we should wait for 6 months to a year as the case may be!

Its not about that young lady, I think the duo should get to know each other better, I mean enjoy the marriage for sometime alone without kids between them. Live a stress free life for some months and enjoy being married first and try to establish something as couples
Trust me, there is more to marriage than just having kids.

Personally, I wouldn't like to take in until after a year. But, the decision is for hubby and I to make. so, if he thinks otherwise and doesn't agree with me, I'd have to do as he says.

Why not?; i love babies and i am sure that i would probably be the one to insigate the thought in my husband head. I would be like, bae i aint got no time for waiting, i need little me's playing around

You got me wrong, I never said kids ain't important, some people just like waiting for few months first before having them.

Even if you want to wait a while, by the time you start seeing cute babies, kids outfits and some behaviours of babies you will beg your hubby for it.
Though sometimes its good to have the house set up in full so as not to get hooked by the time baby is around because babies must be in conducive environment

I love babies and pray to have one soon.

I'd love to have one full year with wifey before she gets preggy. Just enjoy the love alone, go on road trips, travel on weekends, go on tours, have fun b4 baby worries later on.

Personally I'll like to wait a bit after marriage to have kids.. Let me enjoy my wife and advance a bit in my career..

You don't give birth immediately after wedding, it takes a minimum of 9months to give birth after the wedding. 9months doesn't sound like "immediate ", except ofcus they don plant the cassava before the wedding
On the other hand, the couples would decide if they want to make babies ASAP or they wanna chill to sort out their finances or careers etc. It's a decision that should be taken by the couple, bit takes two to make babies

I purposely used "immediately" to showcase the level at which some might want to have a baby in a hurry. Like a fire they want to quench.

Marriage is not for having children strictly. It is for you and your partner to get to be with each other (finally) and enjoy having each other around first, then kids will come later.

Noted buh you should understand that it's the prevailing circumstance at marriage that would influence the couple's decision.

I strongly agree with your views. Most especially for ladies, the waiting period might even be an opportunity to test the loyalty of your in-laws, although it's just a year. If they start making trouble, it is not likely that they will support you in trying times. As much as possible, you'll need to be self-sufficient to the extent that you will hardly need their assistance and avoid being at the receiving end as far as they are concerned.
