Chinese president donated mobile air office to Buhari since he rules his country from air.

in as much as I do not like d idea if Fayose writing to d Chinese govt, I won't be blinded to some important points he made. one, d fg wants to procure loan for things that aren't in d
budget, now, what happens to d money? keep it till it can be used while interests accumulate. two, with all d money d fg has been reportedly raking in, from TSA to anti corruption war, y shud we procure more loans wen we have other debts on ground.
the point Fayose missed is this, China will grant d loan not cause they want to see Nigeria succeed, but because they have something to benefit from it.

I'm yet to understand this Fayose man. He's spent the best of his tenure fighting Buhari. Ekiti people, this is what you voted for. An unleashed Rabid Dog.

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has written to the Chinese government to withdraw the $2 billion loan being sought by the federal government of Nigeria.



In the letter dated April 12, 2016, with reference number EK/GOV/28/10, addressed to President Xi Jinping of China and delivered by Chief of Staff to the governor, Barrister Dipo Anisulowo in Abuja on Thursday, through the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Gu Xiaojie, Fayose said some of the projects for which the loan was being sought were not captured in the controversial 2016 budget, which has been sent to the President by the National Assembly for his assent.

Someone will come and say it's needed to finance our "budget".... that's balderdash!
Now the question is why would someone in his right senses borrow to finance his budget... why not cut it down.
It's just like a school boy who was given two thousand naira as pocket money but while drawing up his budget for the semester, he budgets 10k..... because of the 8k he "would" borrow when he gets to the campus.

Nigerians kept quiet when Bakassi was auctioned out to Cameroun some years ago. They kept quiet when the marriage called Nigeria was conducted n now we re all facing d implications; like he said, if we re expecting so much refund frm d money so called looted, why go for such loan? Besides, amaechi went with him to china, did he tell them that he onlyy effected d calabar-lagos rail project in a supplimentaryy budget dat has not even been called for byy d president? This China is currently enjoying over 70% of d bilateral trade agreement btw d two countries, do u think they will be so dumb to want to lose that? Nigerians shuld learn to fight back smetimes.

Fayose I sincerely believe has only ended up embarrassing himself, his (small and presently educationally retrogressing) state and the entire citizenry of Federal Republic of Nigeria which he claims to protect. Fayose should learn that whatever should be within should stay within, Nigeria has washed its dirty linen in public much too often that it has made us a laughing stock in the world. A lot of people threw vitriol at PMB for positing Nigerians were criminals what do they make of this letter by a sitting Governor that paints us as an unserious, confused and fraudulent nation. His criticisms are accepted but this letter is a minor form of treason and a slight on the sovereignty of Nigeria in my opinion. This letter posits that Fayose can conveniently sell secrets (that is if he hasn't begun to do so) to foreign nations if he believes it is in 'the interest of his partisan inclinations'. It is sad. Even Senator McCain after he lost reprimanded a Republican Senator who insulted President Obama. Lesson; Nations traditionally close ranks when faced with situations that will bring ridicule to the collective image. Does Fayose now believe that we the electorate are now so insignificant that he believes that only foreign governments can call our leaders (including him) to order? Perhaps when Ekiti elections come closer, the leaders in Beijing will cast their votes accordingly. Disgraceful.

opposition or not, the main goal is to make good decisions for the people you rule. in the west opposition works and supports the ruling government as long as its to the benefit of the people they are ruling.

That is not true. Nigerian debt profile is already taking 25% of our annual revenue just for servicing. How can you take loans for projects not caputred by the appropriation bill?

The Nigerian Legislature has already approved the loan from China.

What lunatic fayose should have done earlier was to lobby the lawmakers from ekiti state to convince their colleagues in the legislature not to approve the loan.

But travelling to China to submit a letter to China's president to tell him not to approve the loan is plainly the action of a mentally disturbed individual who actually believes he is playing opposition.

Actually, The deranged fayose doesn't need any opposition, he himself is his own opposition.
By the time all these his actions begin to yield their consequences, he will start shouting that buhari govt. Is persecuting him.
