Obiano is not daft enough to leave APGA. He knows what happend to Peter Obi and Rochas Okorocha when they did the same. He knows that such an action will not endear him to the people. Even if Obiano does leave APGA, he will probably do it when he no longer holds any political office.

The battle might come back to the SW. Should the Cross-states railways be completed, the Lagos-Ibadan, Lagos Abeokuta, Ilesha roads be fixed and Ambode continues with his speed, the PDP might forget about Lagos, Oyo and Ogun. Which form bulk of SW votes.

Luckily for the APC, by 2018, Nigeria will be refining a million barrels of crude daily (going from figures coming from Dangote refinery being built in Lekki and Oando being built in Badagary).

You mean the mythical Dangote refinery? Let me tell you something you don't know, Dangote is not building no refinery....it is a land grab scheme in Lekky. Reason is that no sane business man will build private refinery with oil subsidy still in place and away from the region where the crude comes from. He knows that Nigeria is still fragile and SS/SE youths can keep blowing the pipe line every week. Only those that have not touched money and done investment before will take Dangote Lekki project serious.

Jonathan's insistence on contesting in 2011 rubbished the power rotation arrangement between the North and South.

Had Jo stepped aside and allowed a Northerner the position (just to complete Yar-Adua's second term) with an inviolable agreement power would return to the South in 2015, he would have emerged a national icon respected across board, and had he indicated an interest to contest in 2015 afterwards, I doubt there would have been a more popular candidate from the South than himself. He would have been literally "appointed" the president.

Now, the arrangement is messed up. Buhari might likely run for a second term after which I know the North would throw their weight behind a South West candidate. But, should Baba decide to step aside, Osinbajo would likely be thrown up and with Baba's support, the North would likely still gravitate towards him.

On the other side, if the later scenario is thrown up in APC and PDP, as they are planning to, puts up a Northern candidate, odds are that PDP would lose woefully, not for reason of the candidate himself but because of the choice of his vice -Karma. BUT, if PDP beats the odds and emerges victorious, we'll have a situation where power would stay in the North for 12 long years, bringing me back to my opening statement about the wrong choice Jo made in 2011.

there was nothing wrong in Jonathan contesting in 2011, 2015 was where the problem was, Jonathan would have allowed a northerner to contest and insist on nominating a candidate from the south just like tinubu did in APC. Jona would have easily replaced obj as the soul of pdp but mhen the guy was too greedy and wanted it all, now with obj gone, pdp does not have a leader to navigate things for them any longer

I see more cows voting in 2019. PDP knows how to do it better, who cares? Damn APC, Damn PDP, Damn Nigeria.

hmmmm.... PDP winning 2019 elections? well it all depends on buharis performance. APC might be booted out if their govt doesn't do anything tangible till next election period. IBO's really have a long way to go, we have many Judas iscariots in our midst. I'm IBO though.
