You can present that account as well since it is yours unless you have something to hide.

I have absolutely nothing to hide except most of the funds in it are from my other small business which is not registered or have any paper backing. Plus it involve more of cash deposits.

You have successfully compromised your salary account by transferring 700k which is not verifiable. The entry clearance officer will be quick to reject your application. This is a very common case. Large transactions on the bank accounts near visa application dates are always a red flag scenario and good grounds for refusal

It doesn't matter if the account belongs to you or not. The question is how did you make the money in your account B? From your other business I presume. But you have no paper/documents to show for this. I am afraid the eco is not interested unless you can substantiate with documents, receipts, business tax clearance certificate and what have you.

It is important to provide documentary evidence of inflows otherwise I'll advise you wait for another 6 months when the 700k won't reflect in your salary account statement printout.

thanks alot for this info. If i transfer the 700K back to where it came from i will now have a closing balance of about 3.1M, please does this neutralize the mistake?

No, it will only cause further damages.

No documents to show that funds in your account B is from a legitimate source. E.G receipt, contract paper, invoices, company tax clearance, CAC.

Adhere to instruction and apply in six months time.

I asked the question because £1,200 is a significant amount which doesn't bother the entry clearance officer. If your application is not straightforward, it will be rejected even if you'd paid the complete £1,700.

How long has the company been in existence and what is your active role in the company?

You also didn't mention your company's tax clearance certificate which is the most important document the entry clearance officer wants to see. It is used to evaluate your company and its financially strength.

Let us look at the financial aspect.

What is the yearly turnover of the company?

As a director in the company, how much do you earn monthly?

Do you have a salary account and pay slips showing your tax deduction?

What is your statement closing balance? 1.3m?

What is the total cost of the training including flight, hotel, feeding? close to 1.5m?

Who is paying for the trip and why?

@castiello

How do you intend to convince the eco about your employment/job and where you make your money from? I am assuming you're a freelancer, do you have documents of past and present jobs completed with evidence of payments?

Your application is not straightforward and these are my observations.

1. You're a director of a company that is not tax compliance; meaning the company has stopped functioning or hasn't done any job/contract since 2014 since its tax clearance certificate is not updated. Let me also inform you that embassies/consulates are aware that just anybody can register a company in Nigeria and list friends and families as board of directors since it is compulsory you have at least a director listed as a shareholder.

2. No salary structured. The eco needs to know your monthly earnings from verifiable source even if you get commission from the family company, there must be paper evidence to show for it.

3. To my understanding, you proposed to spend £1,700, plus hotel and feeding in the UK for a training from a closing balance of less than 2M. This makes no economic sense especially at this harsh time. Your budget is unrealistic and does not commensurate with your personal and financial circumstances going by your closing balance.

You have also failed to substantiate how your earnings are made.
It does not matter if your have a closing balance of £1M; if the eco is not satisfied with the source of funds, the decision won't favour you and you'll be perceived as an intending immigrant for proposing to spend about 50% of your entire savings on a training.

Whats her full name?
How old is she?
Whats her relationship to me?
Whats her occupation?
Who's paying for her travel and feeding her?
Will she be staying with me?
How much am i giving her for the cost of the trip?
Who filled the form for her?
What do i do?
Where do i work?
Whats my full post code?
Have i invited anyone over in the last 2 years?
Who else have i Invited?
Will she be travelling alone?

Please Just out of curiosity, Why all that questions and if i answered correctly ... will she be issued the visa?

You may nd someone more diplomatic to answer you.

But do you know where Ilford is?
Do you know to get to Gatwick from Ilford and vice versa

On what basis is your budget on with food and transport expenses.

Do the math for 1154 based on black market rates cos that's your best case scenario.

Then you would have answered your question.

I cant tell you if its okay or not its ur money.

By the way I doubt this trip is yours anyways

Good evening all, @justwise, I need ur advice. I wld like to apply for UK visa for my kids soon. I currently have a five year visa to the uk but wld love to visit for summer holiday with them.

I have been to the uk with my first child for a 3 weeks holiday before but i never traveled with the other 2..

I would like to know how to go about it, if I need to submit my passport with their application since I have been traveling before n still have a 5year visa.

Also I don't really have much in my personal savings account at d moment cos I invested in some stuffs. Though am working. I am also a signatory to my mom's account which has a lot of funds and also next of kin of her properties. I wld like to know if I could use the statement of accounts. Though my hubby and I intend to act of sponsors for the kids even though he's not applying.
Thank you all

Hi Justwise,

This thread has been very informative and I thought to seek for help here....

I lived in the UK for about 3 years and I relocated to Nigeria in 2012. My brothers graduation is coming up in July and I'll like to attend with my wife. I'm presently filling the online form.

1) Can myself and wife have a joint application or we have to apply separately? If joint, how do I go about this?

2) We got married Q3 2015 and I have been transferring about 120k monthly to her account for savings. Can I present her account as proof of funds highlighting the transfers I made?

3) I earn about 260k and I stated I plan to spend a max of 1000 pounds for the trip. 200 for living expenses, 700 for tickets. I will be staying with my brother all through my stay and I plan to stay for about 10 days. Will this suffice?

4) Under travel history to the UK, I just stated my first arrival date and the date I left the UK. I did not bother with my travels in and out of the U.K. in between because they are many. Is this ok?

I will really appreciate your assistance.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 6:34pm On Apr 19, 2016
Mega

4. List your travel history as the questions require you to. The form usually asks for you travel history to commonwealth countries or otherwise . If the questions ask for it state. F you can not recall all the details and dates of those trips address that in the additional information page.

2. No such thing as a joint application. Each traveller fills his own form. You can only indicate if you are travelling wth someone in the section that asks that.

3. You can answer that question since you already have an idea of what it costa to feed and transport in the UK

Rules are rules, it is their country, their immigration policy. They actually don't care if the numbers of applicants reduce by 90%

Memorandum and article of association and children birth certificates alone is not enough ties to convince a UK entry clearance officer. That is my own observation, you can try, but be very sure your £1,200 is refundable. All the best
