The drugs are OK, are you overweight or carrying multiples? I'm asking because of the additional folic acid and calcium, Pregnacare has the RDA, you'll only need extra if you are overweight or carrying multiples ( that's what my doctor told me when he prescribed additional calcium and foilc acid )

The pimples will clear off after delivery, (if you are lucky ) its all part of the package! Wash your face regularly and apply white powder( brown powder aggravates it for me) drink lots of fluid to keep the skin hydrated and eliminate clogs.

Other mamas will contribute, enjoy your preggy and have a safe delivery.

So of all the myth I posted, i experienced all but still wasn't sure as it was all myths.

But initially when I was TTC I was asking God for twins, 1 boy and 1 girl and I go close shop cos dh and I want only 2 kids( for now cos I might change my mind later ) but dh did not want twins cos of the stress it might put on me especially cos of my kind of work.
So after 1year of actively TTCing and 1 failed IUI my prayer request changed. I just wanted 1 and not twins...but I wanted a boy first and a girl. Dh wanted a girl first and a boy.

These are our reasons:
DH: If we get a boy first, his friends would be toasting and disturbing his younger sister.
Me: I stubborn gan and I get bad mouth so if my daughter is anything like me, she would need her big brothers protection in school so she doesn't get beat up

@sugah, 12 whole years I didn't get to read your post before it was modified but from reactions, I can imagine what your sister went through. May God keep her safe and heal her of both the physical and psychological trauma she went through. I once shared my sister's story here of abuse in marriage how her DH wrecked her completely. Thank God she's alive today. It's ironical how some mothers choose to hang on to an abusive marriage because of love, shame or the children forgetting that they need to be alive and safe to nurture the children in question. I was always averse to divorce/separation until my sister's experience. Now i'm team 'better safe than sorry'. Even if an abused woman doesn't want to divorce her husband, she should at least move away from harm and remain separated from him until things can be sorted out. It's just that in some cases, the situation is beyond repairs. Good thing your sister has family that is standing by her.

To all single Mums out there God is your strength. May he lead you aright and never depart from your sides. E no easy.

Team may mamas, how is the ministry? Am sure by now our bags are packed and infact waiting in front of the hospital to go and bring forth our Los . But before we enter, we need to ensure that we have packed all the necessary items.

For mamas using government facilities, when no delivery pack is given, this is what to look out for, although, there may be things left out.

For Baby:
Powder, oil, soap, sponge, comb, Vaseline, wipe
Dress, cap, socks (2 each)
Shawl, flannel, face flannel
Diaper, towel, cot net
Neo gloves, spirit, olive oil, purit, delivery mat (2)

For Mother:
Sanitary pad (6)
Pair of slippers, maternity bra
Surgical cotton wool, surgical gloves (6), elbow gloves (2)
Shaving stick (I will advise that since we are very close, we should shave every two days to avoid paying for deforestation in the delivery room)
Wrapper (6), sanitary pant (2)
Detergent, bar soap, toilet roll, bleach, purit
A tin of glucose D
Toothpaste, brush, flask, cup, plate, spoon, beverage
Plastic bucket

Extra:
Changing cloth, makeup , small cup and spoon (just in case baby needs it), deodorant/spray

P.S:
From my little experience, I will suggest that we pack a separate small bag that will contain the items we need for delivery and VE (all gloves, purit, olive oil, few sanitary pad, receiving cloth/shawl, baby cloth, cap, socks, cap, diaper) just to avoid the nurses searching for things and scattering our bags/box and maintain orderliness. I will also suggest that the flask, plate should be kept at home but reachable for anybody to bring if the need arises. In all, our goal is mother alive, baby/babies alive and daddy rejoicing.
