@Godmother, I had severe of such massage with my first preg, I developed serious pains in my 12th week as a result of fibroid, I was cool with it cos it relieved me buy wasn't comfortable with d mixture given cos it contained kai-kai. Haven't done any in this preg cos I don't feel any pain n don't have time to go thru d stress. Just be careful sha, its different stripes for different folks.

Not advised at all dear. Pains in lower abdomen is normal in pregnancy due to your uterus lining stretching. You can see the doc if it becomes unbearable. But don't go for those local massage o, even tho some people do it. Everyone's body is different. You can visit a professional spa and ask for a pregnancy massage tho, if you insist.

Goodmorning mamas. Congrats to those that have put to bed and supernatural delivery to us who are bumping. Please I have a question, when I was pregnant with my son( he would be 3years in May) , I was sheduled for an induction at 41wks 3days which was the hospital's policy. My mum said I shouldn't go that the baby would come when he is ready that afterall she gave birth to me at 11months pregnant. I went to the hospital on a Thursday (antenatal) and I was asked to come the next day for induction. I was induced on Friday but baby refused to come. Another dose of cytotec was given on Saturday still no show. I was then booked for cs on Sunday. I had a successful surgery and my baby was ok weighing 3.5kg. My question goes thus: is/are there herbs that a pregnant woman would take and the baby would just come out without induction/cs. I am asking cos my MIL wasn't too happy then and she kept saying that if we had told her that we don't need to waste money on cs that there are herbs that one can take.
I am almost 26weeks pregnant and I am praying for a VBAC. Mamas that have had a successful VBAC,is there anything/steps one needs to do . Sorry for the long post. TIA

please ma, don't try it oo. there is no fetish thing attached to it. i did it during my ttc days and it was painful.like other mamas said,it might be your uterus expanding.

@fearless07, forget herbs and have an open mind! whether CS or VB, the important thing is mother alive, baby alive! I'm sure you are happy seeing your 3yrs old alive and bubbling! Forget MIL's suggestion, work in close partnership with your doctor. If i were you, i won't even think twice and go for another CS. there's no big deal about VB and CS does not make you feel less of a woman! Goodluck with your decisions

@fearless07, although there herbs that can be given that will make the woman to have easy delivery for those that believe in traditional medicine. I have never used herbs for such purpose though, local herbs works well but to be on safer side follow ur doctor's instructions cos delay might be dangerous.....plus what works for A may not work for B.......................i pray "had i known"will not be ur portion

Fearless07, pls forget d herbs. The reason for d CS d previous time may not arise ds second time. Just work with your doctor's. What matters is u and baby alive. Wishing u a vbac as your heart desires.

Please, my question is that as a FTM when am i supposed to start Maternity Leave?

EDD is 22/06 - LMP; 24/06 - Ultrasound Scan.
OFFICE; makes me wake up as early as 4.30am and get home as late as 9.30pm. i sit mostly...
ANC; not so punctual cuz i cant go during the week and Doctor isnt always around on saturday #still thinking of changing hospital this weekend.

#i'm thinking maybe i need to rest before delivery.

@Godmother tummy massage should be professional done. Nothing fetish when done the local way, but it's not adviceable to avoid stories that touch.

Fearless07 Yes there are HERBS! it's not a 100% guarantee to avoid Cs. I have seen it work wonders and vice versa. I think it's just the old mamas belief for ease, my mum can't stress it enough . In all, be open minded to either Vbac or another Cs,work with your history & follow your doctor's advice . The ultimate motive is mother alive, baby alive.

good day sabi mamas pls I need help urgently. my son was on EBF.i started g8ving him cereals about two weeks now after he clocker 6months.i use sma gold for his milk, his cereals are frisogold rice and wheat, birds custard, gerber rice with banana and apple, humana milk with oat flakes. he is still sucking breast as well.my question is, his poo is greensish black in colour since he started feeding on cereals. he poos almost every day once or twice, normal poo.i am just worried about d colour of the poo or is it normal.thank u
