Please mamas in the house. How do you take your newborn home...Do you use a carseat\ stroller or you use the baby sling. Which one is more convinent especially if your traveling back to Nigeria alone.

From my little knowledge, a car seat is one of the hospital requirements and the seat would be inspected for suitability before your baby is released to you. Don't know about oakbend sha.

Good day all,

The situation with my wife and I is thus. We have travelled twice to Dubai and once to Seychelles as a couple. Also once to Dubai while dating. We were both denied UK Visa long ago before marriage.

We intend giving birth in the US. Have doctor and hospital correspondence as well as sufficient funds in my account.

My questions are;
What should we look out for?
For how long must my funds have stayed in my account?

A response would be appreciated.

Thanks for the great job guyz. Please is anyone travelling to El paso in June? What route do you intend to take? I really want to avoid Houston POE. I am thinking of JFK but I feel it’s going to be VERY VERY stressful. Advise pls.

Hi, you can go through Dallas instead.

Cheers

[quote author=ify4charm post=45078487]Thanks everyone for your help. I think my case is peculiar. Don't know if as a result of the epidural or drugs given at the hospital cos I did tear a lot and was in lots of pain. I m on pap, nsala,fluids. Using manual breast pump to stimulate though it comes out in tiny drops, which I give her to lick. Hoping to get the mothers milk tomorrow and probably see a lactation specialist . Thanks guys, it has not been easy physically and psychology. I also have a swollen feet to add to it. Labour was indeed labour, I was literally crying and after 9 hrs of contraction I was told I was just 5cm. Even to check how dilated I was so painful. My mom was still encouraging me to continue. Omo! I told her to leave me, I no fit do Hebrew woman again. Screamed for the epidural.The nurse was just taking her time to set up and call the dr. if no say we dey obodo oyinbo I wanted to give her a piece of my mind. Anyways, Seeing my lil princess made it all worth it

@ify4charm congrats on your gift from God.
all will be well in no time.

Hi house, I have a case. I acquired my visa for vacation and did the whole change of intent for child birth. Arrived JFK and was asked wat I was here for, told them vacation and childbirth then he took me for secondary inspection, d cpb was a black guy and he started wailing about how Nigerians come here for American passport , told him I was here for better medical care, he said when the government changes, he was sure the rules will change as well. He refused to check my email correspondence or even cash on me, he only said he would do me a favour and printed an I- 539 form for extension and stamps me in for just a month. He said I should make sure I mail the form and pay d fee 290 dollars and once I mail it attaching my correspondence , the restriction will be lifted . Quite confused as I am 32 weeks now and d form seems not to apply to my case.

I guess it was because you did not declare you were pregnant during the Visa interview as you earlier stated. if you had declared earlier, it would have been a breeze. This is a very rare case with JFK POE. I suggest you visit their website for more clarification on next step

Na woa. So sorry. It would appear that the blacks are way meaner and more disgruntled than the white guys just because they had the opportunity we didn't have by virtue of the fact that their parents moved there a long time ago.

They should remember that if Obama's father hadn't moved to America at 23, Obama would never have been American or their president today.

Take heart, do what he's asked you to do and pray for the best, at least, you're there already.

Who is your doctor? The money paid to your doctor shd include ANC visit, y do u have to pay whmc for each visit. My doctor's package includes all 3rd trimester tests and sonogram, prepartum, delivery and postpartum visit. Just relax and feed well, your baby will gain more weight. For the stroller try Burlington, walmart. Look it up at amazon and see the price range

Hello All, on PTA... If the company you work for banks with CITIBANK, you can get PTA through them. A colleague got all in less than 48hrs. You just need to have your CFO speak with your contact in the bank, have the company write you an intro. letter and all other docs for PTA is submitted, you fund the company account as they have the relationship and smile to the bank to get you PTA. Thank me later....

Hello mamas+papas,
I am currently in NY @ JFK airport enjoying WiFi while I await my connecting flight to my final destination, it's a long wait (6hrs).
JFK POE is a Bae, took me a total of 15 mins for both cbp and secondary inspection.
I left lagos ystday noon via Qatar airways.
4 questions were asked by d cbp official;
a) what brings u to US- vacay n childbirth
B) have much cash do u have - $200
C) have u paid ur bills - yes
D) is it a boy/girl- we wanna be surprised

Secondary inspection asked if I have oha/egusi/kilishi- I said Nooo. I came with palmoil in lucozade bottles as my BIL came in 2days ago n took all of my fish, pap n uda etc.

Take home lessons;
1) be sure to use JFK plsss.
2) for Qatar u must get d 'fit to fly letter' am 33wks+ and it's 34wks for them, the checked my letter also @ Doha. U also need d medif forms-u can get it from their website. U'll send all forms to them at least 7days 2 ur trip and a confirmation will be resent to u.
3) be well hydrated; get a bottle and drink lots of water.
4) walk around on-board d flight
5) get Ted stockings

Sorry guys 4 d long gist.

Make I sleep small.

God bless u all for the tips and encouragement, its simply priceless!!

I love u all.

I think she calculated N1.5m in the account to be roughly usd7k and added the actual cash to make USD14k.

Miracletwinee:

She had the $7k cash, bank statement which she showed to them with a balance of N1.5MM. They replied that hospital cost is inexess of $20,000 so all the fund is not sufficient. She had not paid for the hospital yet. She told them the hospital just gave only appointment but bill was communicated on phone as $5k.

do?

My dear this your story in my opinion is disjointed and there is a missing link somewhere is it actually you or your friend that was deported? Or you are just trying to feel the pulse of the people on the thread? Anyway which ever is the case I feel vo and the cbp are out to protect the same American interest and that visa will not reissued on a platter of gold in less,than 2 weeks except by divine interventio. The transcript at the Poe would have probably been recorded so for you to tell the cbp you had $7000 and getting to the vo to say you had $14000 without

@blaize777, all is well by God grace. Try take Milo if you can lay ur hands on one(with plenty milk)...you'll gain weight, so will your baby. Take lots of smoothies and sleep well. Don't panic and don't stress yourself. Suspend any form of exercise.

Then as per the car seat and stroller...gracco classic connect, travel system. It's cheaper @ Target or try walmart
