Please guys, I want to ask a "very stupid question" . Which should come first, doctor then hospital or hospital then doctor? Should I look for a cheap hospital then search for a doctor or vice versa?
For VBAC, it seems like it's not so easy to find VBAC doctors that will take me at 36 weeks.
I need answers from those that are more experienced.
I appreciate.

Click on Olokings posts for VBAC Drs in Dallas.
@bolded even me dats not a nurse sef won't accept you as a patient shocked shocked shocked

Hello House,

Wifey just got back from work today and gave me a news i dont know if to be excited or what sef..

She was picked with 5 other staffs to travel to the U.S by her employer on official duty but its Optional if she cant go because of her Condition. The 6 of them will be sponsored by the Company. She is pregnant and looks as if she will give birth anytime soon lol but she is just in her Second Trim ... I was initially making arrangement for her to have the baby in the U.S but now this offer came.

House please help me analyze this matter.

Do you think she should take the offer? If so do you anticipate any challenges at POE
OR
Should she decline the offer since its optional and stick to our initial arrangement?
OR
Take the offer and inform VO that she would also like to have the baby in the U.S......Is it Wise?

I am confuse o .. please my Gurus HELP

To go and represent them in which capacity? Cos a VO will wonder how plausible that sounds. Somebody that ought to be on mat leave...
However, if she can rep them while pregnant, u can tell the Vo the purpose of the trip is to have the baby but coincidentally, the office also picked her to rep them for bla bla bla.
And that she is prepared to have the baby on her own tab and have the means and proof to show for it. By so doing, u show preparedness.
A mouthful right? Yes. But that first question actually affords you the opportunity of a speech.
The upside to this is that wifey gets free flight and accomodation in the long run though your burden of proof must cover that cos the office is not expected to pay for personal waka (for visa purposes)y

Hi Ma'am, is hearing test/pedia compulsory? Just asking pls

It's not, I found out I could have said no later on. The lady that carried out the test said if I decline the test, I would be given one paper to sign.

Whmc bill is crazy well I won't even dare dem again never.went to the hospital I need close monitor cos my baby is just 2kg now every wk I visit 100 dollar imagine after I ve paid all my bills.if it will result to cs hospital and all extra 2500. embarassed embarassed so sad with nig dollar wahala all dis no dey my budget.ooo dats like paying 10k.so depressed right.pls experience mum wat can I do for my baby weight to increase biko as dey say is distressed confused but position and all is okay just dat instead of growing d pikin dey loose weight #scared#36wks already
Nb-for those using whmc do all ur test for nig if u luv ur self cos d bill u go cry.i Neva drop bill don dey increase my test ve saved some bills though
Pls wer can I get car seat and stroller as I hrd is compulsory to buy wat mall and Wats d price range urgent pls

One of two things, this happened to a friend of mine, the baby's cord was wound around the baby's neck hence the baby was losing weight in utero. Speak to your doctor about this. I strongly will advise CS if this is the case.

For baby to add weight, it's not hard na! Eba every night for 2 weeks will work wonders. If you doubt me, ask modath
My baby was 3.2kg at 36wks, at birth she was 4.6kg cos I craved Eba during the last weeks

Please read Shelly23's posts before you decline hearing tests. It's one of the most important tests that's why the do it in US, abi why dem no do vision and smelling test?

It's a couple of bucks, worth more than years of running around if there's an issue and treating it later in life is not as easy as treating it in infancy

At this rate, I might have to go down east to find this PTA. As population in Lagos and co wouldn't let someborri to even smell the sth whereas probably in our villages they are even begging people to come and buy. For those looking for PTA u might as well explore this optionsooo.

Thanks everyone for your help. I think my case is peculiar. Don't know if as a result of the epidural or drugs given at the hospital cos I did tear a lot and was in lots of pain. I m on pap, nsala, fluids. Using manual breast pump to stimulate though it comes out in tiny drops, which I give her to lick. Hoping to get the mothers milk tomorrow and probably see a lactation specialist . Thanks guys, it has not been easy physically and psychology. I also have a swollen feet to add to it. Labour was indeed labour, I was literally crying and after 9 hrs of contraction I was told I was just 5cm. Even to check how dilated I was so painful. My mom was still encouraging me to continue. Omo! I told her to leave me, I no fit do Hebrew woman again. Screamed for the epidural. The nurse was just taking her time to set up and call the dr. if no say we dey obodo oyinbo I wanted to give her a piece of my mind. Anyways, Seeing my lil princess made it all worth it.

Momo13 9:30am isn't bad, I choose 10am sef because on both occasions I was denied I chose early morning 6:30am appointment, so that particular time I wanted to take my time cheesy cheesy I got there a fe minutes past 9am and they said time didn't matter I should just go on the queue, I had my interview at about 10am or so, some people go 12pm and even later when there was later times and they still got it, to me I don't think 9:30 is bad, just leave home early enough that day and if you get there earlier nothing spoil. grin

DH went to citibank garki, he was told it takes 3-4weeks to get pta but for one to open an account u have to fill a form for verification that will be sent to lagos befor it can be open.

Me at FCMB suleja branch: they cant process until its close to my travel date. I just filled the form sha.

@ mummybee Pls must we get car seat and stroller or just one of the two

To leave the hospital, you need just car seat alone but of course you'll need a Stroller to push baby around in case you wanna go shopping et al. Also coming back to Naija, u'll need it, you can place some of your hand luggages in it to ease movement.

I'll be going to Houston at the end of June.

Have you contacted Oakbend and do you have a doctor? Have you been given a quote? Did you try to see if you can pay upfront before leaving Nigeria?
