I am planning on purchasing an ML320 2003 and later came across an ML 500 2003 which i fell in love with cause of the third row.
The ML320 is a V6 while the ML500 is a V8 both are 2003.The dealer told me that the fuel consumption of the ML500 has a little difference to that of the ML320.
To avoid stories that touch the heart is why i am here to ask you guys in the house who use this car what the performance is like in regards to fuel consumption and also to know if i should go for the ML320 or ML500

It all depends on your pocket but you will not want to be the owner of a 2003 SUV that has 5.0 liter V8 engine with an average gas mileage of 13 miles per gallon. Please run! from the ML500. The low price you are currently being offered is probably tempting. However, you may spend much more on maintenance in a short while and reselling it will be a tough one.

The ML320 is bad enough, don't make things worse by getting the ML500.

I would prefer u go for the ml320 as it has proven to be strong and reliable. With this current fuel crisis, I think you will be doing yourself a whole lot of good if u go for the 320. Forget the 3 row seat in the Ml500, u can add a plastic chair to ur 320 (hehehehe)

ML320 vs ML500?
They are both fuel guzzlers with 12 & 16 spark plugs respectively(not forgetting lots of sensors).
Has advised, if petrol and cost of maintenance is an issue, run run run!!!!
Wake up from that ML dream and buy another cheaper SUV variant!!!!!

OP, you don't want neither one of them. But not because they are not both class leaders.

If you wanted one you'll be buying it regardless of the MPG. I personally would not buy an ML 350 if there's a choice of an ML500

When people ask for vehicles with V6 or V8 engines. You should deduce that fuel consumption is an issue for them.
You don't buy a camel and wonder why it drinks water like a fish!!!
