They claimed it was the Nigerian soldiers who who were on a disguised and disillusioned massacre spree and hence Jonathan was given an ultimatum to call off the tanks and battalions in the north or he gets impeached. Later on boko haram grew in strenght and wrecked havoc in the North.

The same denial process by these northern leaders has just begun. Once beaten twice shy. This will not happen again.
