sugah:They aren't pre-fried. Store bought Fries are raw pre-cut potatoes , coated with vegetable shortening. That's why they freeze well. You can't freeze & fry without it turn soggy when defrosted/reheated. |

Ewuro4:This is why I made the comment.... It clearly says it's prefried but who knows They probably just do what you described.

sugah:I'm confused. If it's pre-fried or whatever then it shoul be golden in colour not white. |
| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by sugah: 9:02pm On May 03, 2016 |
Ewuro4:Its quite frozen hence the whitish color. Yes i fry again but I use an air fryer set at 200°c for 10mins and it comes out golden brown. |
| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by Ewuro4: 9:09pm On May 03, 2016 |
sugah:Hmm.. still not clear enough. Something is fishy. Coz mine are totally raw and white. I think homemade beats anything frozen.
|
| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by sugah: 9:38pm On May 03, 2016 |
Ewuro4:Homemade definitely beats frozen!!!! But they had the totally raw ones and the pre-fried at the store, I went for the pre-fried cos it had a smaller pack. Although the instructions says to either deep fry for 3-5mins or heat in the oven for 15-20mins(which from the stuff you posted means it's raw bah?), my air fryer's instruction is to fry for 10-12mins...any longer and it turns black-brown |

mitchelle1989:Mine. Hand picked the beans. Rinsed and cooked with plenty water n onion only. Half way through, I changed. Water to prevent running stomach. Then more onion, seasoning cubes nd salt to taste at the tail end. I don't have a pressure cooker but the beans was fast to cook. I bought ewa-oloyin (honey beans) It's somewhat sweet to taste. For the topping. I hand blended the pepper, crayfish and a little tomato. I wanted my sauce to have a little body. Just two pieces or so of tomato. Then I chopped my onion and sliced some. Washed my fish with hot water and salt. Removed all d unwanted part. Brought my oil to fry, added onion to the oil. Then the fish, -hubby likes it crunchy Then d blended tomapep When fried almost dry, added d seasoning n no salt. This is because I have salt in d beans n d fish plus I watching my salt intake. When fried, I added d onion sliced onion n turned of the heat after. P's The beans still had little water when I turned off heat. I wanted it smoggy so when serving, I mashed stirred the part to serve well with my cooking spoon to breakdown beans. I no get gas to cook till it breaks... Lol I hope this helps. Let's see pix when u finish. L |

mitchelle1989:It's not a special recipe oooooooo it's not really different from iomoge2's except that I blended just dried tatashe, crayfish and onions without tomatoes for the toppings plus I also added cayenne pepper to the palm oil and onion for a crispy taste. Note: to achieve the true ewa agonyin, be generous with your palm oil. Below is the picture of the dried tatashe.

Ewuro4:I have one, I hardly use it cos it consumes lots of oil. I prefer frying with less oil. |

mitchelle1989:I don't think fresh tatashe can be used cos most recipes i've seen call for dried one, no harm is trying sha. |

| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by Nobody: 1:01pm On May 04, 2016 |

| Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by sugah: 3:17pm On May 04, 2016 |
Mrs0J:Iv heard good things about the halogen oven but I don't own one, so no first hand experience. The air fryer is great although iv only used it for 20% of its uses.. |
