Jesus

Some of you allways find an excuse to bitch and moan

No,rugged7 is right! We saw a similar situation in 2012 when Kismayu was captured:suddenly the world was informed whites helped the KDF into the city.
Checkpoints have been set up on the main road north of Kismayo, with one eyewitness telling the BBC that the AU forces appeared to include white troops
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-19754639

That 'factoid' was never mentioned again, but we should know who runs the BBC. As usual for sheer dishonesty Shlomo takes the cake:
1. Israeli military officers advised in the planning of Kenyan field operations. They recommended systematic special ops raids behind Shabaab lines to generate disarray in enemy ranks instead of rapid advances to seize large tracts of territory.

2. Israel supplied Nairobi with the weapons appropriate for these tactics, including drones and field intelligence equipment.

But what can you expect from natural born story tellers and professional liars? Fyi,all and any weapons were bought and paid for.
Also the West has given unsuitable training,Eeben Barlow himself said so and they tried (successfully) to sabotage his own effective training programs.

Since you guys are a bunch of Russia loving Slavaboo's I would reccomend subscribing to South Front on Youtube

Daily status updates on Syria, and weekly updates on the Russian military, its modernization and other global defence matters (Such as this report on Libya)

Ethiopia turns S-75 SAMs into self-propelled systems

A photograph of one of the S-75 launchers mounted on a T-54/55 hull was published by the Somali news website Garowe Online on 19 April to accompany a story about the president of Somalia's Puntland region visiting Ethiopia's Gafat Armament Industry, which is part of the military-run Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC).

Other photographs showed missiles for the S-75 system at the same industrial complex.

Ethiopia has had S-75 systems since the 1970s, some of which are still deployed at three fixed sites around Addis Ababa, its S-125 (SA-3 'Goa') systems deployed closer to the Eritrean border to defend strategic locations.

Self-propelled S-75 launchers would be far more mobile and quicker to deploy, especially in areas with poor roads, than the original launchers, which have to be loaded on and off dedicated trailers.

The S-75 modification is the most sophisticated work known to have been carried out by the Ethiopian defence industry to date.

The METEC website says Gefat was set up in 1989 and produces a range of basic infantry weapons: the ET/97-1 and Gafat 01 in 7.62x39 mm calibre (presumably AKM-derived assault rifles), an unidentified 7.62x54mm machine gun (probably a PKM copy), the 35 mm ET04/01 automatic grenade launcher (possibly a copy of the Chinese QLZ87), and the 82 mm ET05/01 mortar.

The Homicho Ammunition Engineering Industry produces a range of ammunition for small arms, mortars, artillery, and tanks.

METEC's Bishoftu Automotive Industry carries out maintenance work on the Ethiopia National Defence Forces' (ENDF's) armoured vehicles and also assembles a light armoured vehicle on a commercial chassis. The photographs published by Garowe Online showed the latter looks identical to the Thunder Mk 1 armoured personnel carrier that is made by the Israeli company GAIA Automotive Industries.

Sri Lankan Navy wins Nigerian export contract

The Sri Lankan Navy (SLN) has won an export order from Nigeria to supply nine inshore patrol craft (IPC) for USD4.2 million, it was announced on 7 May.

In handing over the IPCs, the SLN said in a statement that the contract represents the navy's first international defence sale. It added that IPCs were built at the SLN's Navy Yard at Welisara.

The SLN said the export features six Arrow-class IPCs and three other unidentified IPCs. The SLN indicated that the additional boats were Wave Rider-class IPCs. Both classes of boats were regarded as key assets in the Sri Lankan armed forces' victory over the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Sea Tigers in the Sri Lankan civil war, which ended in 2009.

U.S. Special Operations called in an airstrike on Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia Thursday when a mission to help Ugandan forces the American troops were accompanying turned into an unexpected battle.

The incident occurred west of Mogadishu, according to U.S. military officials familiar with reports from the scene. No U.S. troops were wounded in what quickly turned into a firefight between Ugandan forces and Al-Shabaab militants.
Initial reports from the field, details of which were shared with CNN, suggested the U.S. special forces were involved in the firefight. But military officials said later Thursday that further information made clear the U.S. troops weren't involved in the firefight.

First MRAPs Arrive in Egypt
Jen Judson, Defense News 1:11 p.m. EDT May 12, 2016

AMMAN, Jordan — The first shipment of mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles (MRAP) from the US has been delivered to the Egyptian military, according to the US Embassy in Egypt.

While the number of vehicles delivered was not stated, it is the first round of MRAPs out of 762 the US plan to send to Egypt.

According to the embassy, “this new capability will be used to combat terrorism and promote stability in the region.”

And Maj. Gen. Charles Hooper, a senior defense official at the US Embassy in Egypt, said: “The delivery of these MRAPs to Egypt provides a crucial capability needed during these times of regional instability and is part of the continuing strong relationship between the US and Egypt.”

The US is giving Egypt the MRAPs free of charge as part of the Pentagon’s Excess Defense Articles grant program.

The US Army needs less MRAPs as it attempts to wind down its operations in Afghanistan. MRAPs were rapidly developed to protect troops from improvised explosive device blasts in the country.

While Egypt is receiving that equipment for free, the country’s safety and security market is “flourishing,” Cherine Maher, the head of regional safety and security at the US Embassy in Jordan, said May 10 at SOFEX, a special operations exhibition in Amman. Egypt’s defense market is expected to grow by 15 to 20 percent during the next few years, she said.

“Egypt is facing a lot of challenges, especially in terms of border control and whether it’s from the west or the east or the north or the south, so the main project that is going on is border and perimeter control,” Maher said, which means the country really wants bomb detection, jammers and improvised explosive device diffusers.

the trade between america/egypt is worth around 7 billion dollars while yours with america is worth 332 million dollars ,so economically egypt is more important to the US.also militarily egypt buys more american weapons than nigeria, you may be rich but you spend pine nuts when it comes your defence compared to other powerful african economies.so from an american defensive company perspective, your arms import market is dismal

are u high on something, our second largest trading partner is China and volume is worth over $12b, den tink of d US how much it's worth.and egypt don't buy weapon from USA ,it's arms deals are with russia, France and China ,d weapons gotten from American is due to the camp Davis agreement with Israel.

wer egypt get $1.5b worth of weapons every year such as d Abrams tank, scale down f16s etc
while Israel gets close to $7.5b

so leave dose trash of trade or weapon selling and buying.
