Please bro from your experience what is the best criteria on being qualified for a masters degree?

Sure... don't mind me. I was just suprised my ur blunt response.
I believe the one year program will be a good ground for him to get a Master degree provided you have good grades even though you will still be evaluated on your BSc transcript but then, having good grades in the one year program helps you to send a strong signal that you are capable especially having good grades in a Canadian school...
thanks bro for your response, if you have more advice please do not hesitate to inform me.thanks

Same here, have you paid your 2300CAD deposit
is the program an advance diploma ?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by hayqinsbFX: 9:41am On May 12, 2016
if u want canada....having a good ug grade is the best bet........some say years of experience can work too.....
you just have to check ur choice of school and digest the admission requirement....

but a grad certificate in a college is never a pathway to a masters degree in a university....

HayqinsbFX is correct then, its better to give a straight and blunt answer than give one false hope. I'm sure the person wants to know if he can apply for a masters degree with the result from his one year prog.

Hi everyone,

Reasons why students do not get admissions to schools-Most times the reason is the SOP. It is not enough to have good grades or be enthusiastic about the program you apply for, you have to show that enthusiasm to the committee members of the school/program/faculty that make the decisions in written form via your SOP. The SOP is what defines who you are as an individual.

I have had the opportunity to review SOPs for people going to school abroad, and I must say it has been a headache filled job. I have had to re-write most people's SOP and I wonder what the issues and challenges they face are?

1. Most people do not even understand word count. (write 500-750 words), you see them write 1000 words and above, not paying attention to the STRICT guidelines of the school or faculty.

2. More so, given areas and points to concentrate on by the faculty, they digress and end up filling the SOP with unnecessary sentences that will not appeal to the application committee.

3. Most Applicants do not even know how to build the structure of the SOP, most times there are no links of what is written to the programs they apply for.

4. Most importantly, for every program you apply for as a potential applicant, you need to know within yourself the purpose of applying as this will guide you.

Please does this question refer to NYSC in Study permit form;

4a. Did you serve in any military, militia, or in defence unit or serve in a security organization or police force(including non obligatory national service or reserve or volunteer units)

if yes, should i fill in NYSC or is the answer No?

Nysc is obligatory I think, and its not a militia or defence unit. So your answer should be NO

the official price for police clearance is just 1000naira, but you know how things are done if our country...
I did mine with just 2500naira last month. If you can bargain well, I think you will get it done with just 2000naira. Take you valid Int. passport and 2 passport pictures.
And I did mine for 4500. embarassed
The corporal was so convincing. Well my ceiling price was 5k anyways.

WHO can suggest Universities in Canada that easily dish out master admission in science or social science courses without much stress.

Well, I ignored the Police Men at the entrance gate and went to make my enquiries inside. Initially, I was told 6k flat but I tried my best to bargain on the fee.

That's not true. Your SOA print out date must not exceed 30days(1 months) from the Visa application date.

Good day all, im new to this forum so bear with me.
Please i would appreciate your feedbacks.

Heres my current status.
I have a M.ENG Admission at CARLETON UNIVERSITY Canada, program to begin 1st sept 2016.

I have submitted the online study permit application on 18th april 2016. The application fee summary was brocken down to
150 CAD APPLICATION FEE
85 CAD BIOMETRIC FEE.

I was charged 235 CAD total from my master card.

I only submitted scanned copies of docs required and filled all forms.

My question here is regarding the biometric, would i be notified by cic to conduct my biometric or am i to do it on my own and if so how will i forward it to cic as part of my online application.

Thank you ur help is needed.
