Watch out for my unleashed pics. There is no limit to which we can transform our body into. Our body is clay. Mould it to what you want it to become.

It does not really matter neither do i know the weight of the bars. What matters is the loaded plate

Bros, I really appreciate how well yu v bn motivating guys with this thread, but, believe me, most guys here will wanna try watever it is yu v said here and if its not working for them, they will think they are a failure which they may not be.

If you can push 50reps in a set, it only mean one thing: you pushing lighter weight which will definitely not get yu the desired result.

Well, for me, If you can do more than 15reps in a set when benching, you wasting your precious time in the gym. Your muscles won't get bigger if they are not forced to.

My humble opinion dou!

And btw bros, I'd advice you always check and knw exactly, the kg of weights yu lifting. Its indispensable, at least that will help when loading more plates.

@jadonjack, thank you for contribution but i must make it clear that me doing a bench-press of 50 reps per set is just me. I have seen guys benching above 50. If one is going for purely mass without definitions and vascularity then 10- 12 reps max is enough but for body-builders, elite fitness models, 15-25 reps is okay. No one should consider himself a failure if his muscles do not seem to be increasing. Patience, consistency, diligence and determination is key. Remember everyone has what works for him. This thread is for us all.
Thanks once again for your contribution

Building muscles, expecially for an ectomorph is a gradual process, it requires a lot of PATIENCE and DEDICATION. Stop thinking of how long it will take to achieve yur aspirations in the gym, its one of the mistakes biginners make. DON'T COUNT THE DAYS, MAKE THE DAYS COUNT.

As regardz supplements, YES! You need supplements, its highly essential in body building, they make d repair of those muscles faster and fill the microtears in the muscle.

Take the 1st step now: HIT THE GYM!!!

@jadonjack, you gave an immense contribution. Thanks for that.

@ndoz
I will really appreciate it if you can go through this thread page by page, all the answers you need you will find there.
For an ectomorph, your exercise will be centred on building muscle-mass and the exercises below are going to be very helpful.
1. Bench-press- pectoralis(chest) muscles
2. Bicep-curls (one can use a dumbbell or barbell) -for the arms.
3. Squatting with a loaded barbell across the back of your neck and shoulders- for quadriceps
4. Incline and decline benchpress- for upper and lower regions of the chest.

Make sure you do no more than 10-12 reps per set. Rest well and eat well. Ensure you eat pre-workout meals such as oatmeal, bananas. Then eat a very good postworkmeal consisting of proteins, carbs, good fats and water.

your height is okay. At least u are of average height.

What are nice and eventful week, it has being for me? Those irons were "hot" throughout.

I want the body-builders, fitness instructors, gym enthusiasts in the house to contribute to this seemingly controversial topic.

How healthy is body-building as a sport?

I am going to kickstart this discourse in a few hours time.
Prepare your mind to be wide-opened.

Re: Pristine Muscles by PRISTINEMUSCLES: 11:19pm On Apr 27, 2016
There are so many divergent views as regards body-building being a healthy sport but one thing is certain, body-building in its purest and natural form is as healthy as eating fruits and vegetables all day.
Many have clamoured for body-building be indoctrinated into the olympics but many still regard body-building as a sport too unhealthy.
I am going to be giving us some reasons why this may appear so.

Welcome.
Re: Pristine Muscles by PRISTINEMUSCLES: 11:47pm On Apr 27, 2016
Body building at the elite level has claimed one life too many. The endless quest to look like a real "incredible hulk" with unimaginable muscle mass, single digit body-fat, vascularity with bulging veins like some riverlets, definitions/striations, have led quite a number of men at their prime to their early grave. Why is this so?
To achieve those monstrous physique is naturally impossible. So many injections filled with insulin, anabolic steroids, diuretics, fat-burners, human growth hormones e.t.c must come to the picture. But no one can take away the gruelsome sessions of intensive workouts and low calorie diets these guys do.
These drugs can be killing. The heart, kidneys, liver, brain, guts, lungs are usually the most affected. NASSER EL SONBATY, one of the finest body-builders the sport has produced yet, passed away in 2013 as a result of congestive heart failure and kidney failure. Nicknamed "the professor" was always quick to point out the dangers of his sport as it requires some hardcore enhancing drugs.

Andreas Munzer was also a victim.
But there is a good news for body-builders and intending ones. YOU CAN ALWAYS BODY BUILD WITHOUT DRUGS.. NATURAL IS ALWAYS THE SAFEST WAY.
There are so many natural body builders who are in their fifties and above still going strong. Why? Because they are living a drug-free life and only rely on the free-weights, nutritional supplements and good diet to pump out the muscles. No vain quest to have a 22 inches arm or a 52 inches chest size.
I believe this form of body-building has come to stay. Forget those muscle-freaks at the Mr Olympia and look at the more realistic fitness and physique models.

So it depends on the divide you fall into whether professionals or naturals.

Re: Pristine Muscles by PRISTINEMUSCLES: 12:25am On Apr 28, 2016
Somewhere in Africa, these guys are doing it all natural with a makeshift gym. No steroids, no drugs all raw and available diets.
That is what is about.
NO PAIN
NO GAIN

NO GUTS
NO GLORY

NO PURPOSE
NO FULFILLMENT

NO CHALLENGES
NO GROWTH

My fellow gymmers, how the go dey go? Hope those muscles have being heated up.

I am going to be deviating little from our usual gym talks and all but this is centred on the fitness industry.
Across the shores of this country, i am talking about the europe, north america, south america, australia and even parts of africa, the fitness industry is thriving, profitable and booming with potentials. From the setup of fitness gyms to the sales of supplements, gym equipments and the likes.
World renowned gyms like the famous GOLD GYM, POWERHOUSE GYM, METROFLEX GYM are making bigtime bucks, producing MrOLYMPIAs, elite fitness models, making fatties become ripped and the ever increasing memberships of people who have got the passion for the IRON.
Re: Pristine Muscles by PRISTINEMUSCLES: 11:58pm On Apr 29, 2016
How do they do it? This question keeps bugging my mind. Could it be their well structured system or the ever increasing awareness of their folks towards the "fitness module"?
Come down to our own nigeria, of a truth we ain't started yet. The gyms are poorly equipped with obsolete equipments. The outrageous membership fee is nothing to write home about.

I was at a gym in ikeja some weeks back, the gym was to an extent fair enough but the membership fee per annum is just mind boggling. 220 gees for a year. Wetin happen, na gold-plated iron i go dey carry. I was really not happy.
Fine, a gym should be profit oriented but with consideration for the middle and low cadre of the society. There should be affordable plans for everyone.

I am going to be giving gym owners and people in the fitness industry some tips to make their business very very profitable. FREE OF CHARGE

WATCH OUT.
Re: Pristine Muscles by Jamesdman(m): 1:46pm On Apr 30, 2016
Exactly Bro.

I've been thinking about that too lately. Fitness industry in Nigeria isn't at pal with the rest of the world. People aren't really looking to get fit, people only think of the gym as a place where over weight men and women visit to shed fat.

Hence, gym owners charge exorbitant prices from their clients, especially obese female clients, who will willingly pay anything and buy any so-called "fat burner", to lose some weight.

Just last week, I asked USNNigeria if they organize fitness expos, and they said NO.

Meanwhile, USNSA, USNUK organize shows and promote fitness models. They have booths in numerous fitness expos and competitions, such as Body-power UK, Arnold Classic etc.

It's really distressing that the fitness industry is at an all-time low in Nigeria. I wish for better days in the near future.

Shoutout to all the iron warriors, still keeping it real like the "tomatoes scarcity". It's being quite a while since i updated this thread.
I was just thinking of what to post when suddenly something just popped up.

I saw one of my colleagues back in those days. This guy and i practically trained our butts in our "local gym". Mehn, those times were damn too awesome. This man has lost those muscle-mass. No form,no definition,he even had a slightly bulging belly. I asked him what the problem was and he kept on saying no time, it is work and family ish bla bla bla. But there is no excuse to prevent one from becoming fit and maintaining the fitness.

And so, i am going to be giving us tips to achieve those jaw-dropping physique and physically fit body. No matter how tight your work-schedule is, you can still make out time to train. NO EXCUSE.
Re: Pristine Muscles by PRISTINEMUSCLES: 11:46pm On May 31, 2016
I. The passion for good health and achieving physical fitness must be there.
We tend to forget that our health is invaluable, without good health we can do nothing. No matter how much cheese that "job" is churning out, when your health is down, the sick-bed comes calling. When there is a will there is way.

2. Create a work-out schedule.
This is very very important. When i first started the hustle and bustle of the corporate world, i found it quite difficult to train. I was not happy with this new development. So i sat down one saturday morning, took out a piece of paper and pen and wrote down my daily activities for the week. To my suprise i discovered that i could squeeze in at least 6 hours of work-out session per week excluding weekends. I bounced back to my "old" self again. Training mode activated once again.

3. Make your gym.
This is golden. I have been training for quite awhile now and i have never registered for any gym membership. I see it as not only stressful but wasteful. I have all the basic gym equipments in my crib ranging from my elliptical bike to my barbells. Not forgetting my abs machine. And i workout consistently and at any sparetime without distractions. I only go to gyms to socialize(meet sexy and beautiful ladies) and do some bodyworks dats all. Moreover the gym is filled with "jokers". Homemade gym is simply the best.
