Many people have been so battered and oppressed that they have no strength to even talk.

I am beginning to change my stance on petrol price if the maximum of 145 cannot be adhered to in the next 2 years.

I get it, now the N145 fix price ain't gonna be possible, meaning that is not right for FG to fix any price, rather the price will be determine by the marketers right?
Yes

When fuel from for 200-250: transport increased from 200 to 350
Fuel subsidy removed, now 145: transport increase from 350 to 500.
What has normalize abeg
May be in your own part of Nigeria.
We've been buying PMS at N220/litre before now ( Sometimes, I had to go to Ogbomoso from Ilorin to buy without having to sleep at Gas station), and now that subsidy has been removed, the product is available everywhere at N145.
I don't know where you live, but transport fares in Abuja, Lagos and Ilorin haven't increased significantly.

normalized as in how? you mean the suffering is now official?

I am not really against subsidy but against failure to provide palliative
Queues have disappeared and price level remains constant.
I'm not in support of any "half-done" palliative, like SURE-P buses.

One would have thought that you would have asked why the devaluation and subsidy removal at the same time. What a one year gift to Nigerians by this administration.
Since I have asked mine, it doesn't make asking yours mutually exclusive.

well, me i just dey happy, dey smile because buhari keeps proving me right and his supported fools.
i told them , they could understand it. What a wailer sees sitting on the ground, a zombie cannot see even while peeping fom the top of mount kilimanjaro. They have no choice but to keep supporting him because of the shame involved. Eyahh...i pity them.

Osinbanjo don say na forex issue no removal of subsidy.

Although I agree they are linked. It would be financially Irresponsible for a govt to subsidise a price differential at any level. Even at the risk of total bankruptcy of the nation.

I would gladly pay 145 for petrol provided that we know that the government is concentrating on improvement in the electricity sector and agriculture.

@tonyebarcanista it is time to spend your energy on constructive suggestions and stop playing politics.

palliative in the form of what. I take it you have been in this country with me in the last 6 or so months since I have been paying between 120-150 in any case.

Most palliative measures are unlikely to be immediate. If they can use some of the savings in Nigeria and grow Nigeria and the naira in the Agricultural sector then at least some staple foods can be kept low.

REMOVING SUBSIDY WITHOUT PALLIATIVE IS WICKEDNESS
While I express my support for the need to remove subsidy, I must question the moral ground upon which Buhari stood to take the decision. Can we forgive him for his ignorance in saying that the subsidy doesn't exist at all?

May God Bless Us All And Bless Nigeria
Buhari didn't say that subsidy doesn't exist at all, get your claims right and stop misleading others.
i guess you want to refer to him asking "what is subsidy?" Noting that the concept was entrenched in secrecy and corruption, it was a fair question to ask in replying what he planned to do with subsidy.
Have you forgiven him for paying up billions of naira of subsidy owed and asking for supplementary budget for it? Have you forgiven him not removing subsidy for a year when most people expected that will be one of the first things he'd do?

" General Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday, declared that the party is completely opposed to the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government." This is from the same page. The page shows nothing about not believing subsidy exists at all. Instead it is in tandem with common knowledge that Buhari is opposed to subsidy removal,
