y'all be thinking glo network is bad but it actually depends on your location..mine is very fast...I did the glo 1.5gig last week Sunday....and I have browser very heavily and download A lot I expect it to have finished and I saw 578mb left diz mawnin.... they give u d worth of your money

No mind them bro. Yesterday night, I subscribed for 2,500 for 5GB and downloaded this new film (Captain America : Cold war, 900MB) under 15mins.

It depends on your locality. Though I know their coverage is low in terms of data but anywhere it is good, it's the best. MTN na relegated zone 4 our area.

Airtel is so bomb. God bless those guys.
I'm currently enjoying their ×5 package plus the new opera mini that saves up to 80%.

Hmmmm that's emptyhen for you

How about switching to airtel and enjoy their 5x bonus I think that's better than better talk

Do that and thank me later

Guy switch over to glo. Its the best. They even dash u bonus in double and they won't take a kobo from it. MTN Is like devil, if they give u one thing they will always look for way to take back 200 things away from you. Whatever MTN gives u does not come from their heart, they only give just for giving sake cos other operators are giving too. Glo is best, mtn betatalk is rubbish, I can't advice my enemy to use it. Their bonus don't last. But I enjoy glo bonus even the main credit and its internet last me for one full month, nothing is hidden with glo. Mtn will deduct from your credit, subscribing for you by force you won't even know when you subscribe for some services on mtn, they will subscribe it for u without you aware of it, all is for them to always deduct from your credit.
pls which glo prepaid tariff plan are u on? And pls, could u run me Tru their data subscriptions codes, prices, and their worth(mb/gig)

MTN customer care agents are the most clueless, naive and incompetent bunch of retards you can ever come across. They will always look for a way to heap the blame on you when they are clueless about your situation.

Their mostly used cliches are " kindly switch off your phone and switch it on back"; The machine for running the programme is currently not responding, therefore, kindly call back within 24 hours smh

Lmao. I don't know why people still use Empty Hen. I swear GLO whey people dey condemn don improve gahn especially this week. Yesterday, I enjoy their network like anything.

Same thing here. Subscribed for the 5k, 10gb plan. As at yesterday morning, I still had about 5.5gb left. Only for me to check in the afternoon around 4pm and I saw 0.0kb left.

5GB is too much, make sure you get your data back.

Am surprised at this. Had to quickly check my balance. Did the same 3.5g for 2k on Thursday last week (12th may).

I think I'm lucky to still have mine then.

Bleep MTN. I did the #1,000 for 1.5gb on Saturday, and since Sunday, I've only been able to use the data between 9pm and 6am; what nonsense. I'll never subscribe for their data plan again unless this problem is resolved as I have called their customer line more than 10 times
thats a night plan nah...it was clearly stated in their advert msg...let's try and read their adverts well so we don't kick ourselves...

How do you cope with airtel data sapping?

Subbed for 1.5k for 3gig, it didn't last two weeks.

My phone was calculating 1.8gig, Airtel was telling Mii my sub has finished.

Had to switch to MTN
Same here bro did the #1500 for 3gig and at 1.49gig it stopped working. .called customer care and they told me I've exhausted 3gig.. .my pain was I was just updating and flexing the data thinking I'd start managing at 2 gig. ..the reason I left them

Glo still remains one of the best in terms of being data friendly. MTN have scammed me several times as a blogger. Just running my blog @ www.crmnigeria.com. Blackberry subscription finished within two days. If you have network connectivity, I will advice my enemies to go for either airtel subscription or glo. I stayed in Kwara but the problem is that glo has poor network coverage but their subscription makes a lot of sense.

I subscribed to the new MTN Data plan of 2,000 naira for 3.5gig yesterday. I'm on the Bettertalk plan which gives me triple of every recharge so I got 4,000 naira bonus upon recharge.

I did the subscription while still having the bonus intact. Now according to a Customer Care representative when I enquired sometime ago, I was told that if you subscribe to any data plan on Bettertalk, before your data starts getting deducted they would start deducting from the bonus airtime for any internet-related activity. That is however true from my previous data subscription with MTN when I used to do the 4.5 gig for 2,500 Naira.

For the past 20 hours I have made calls and used the Internet all of which were charged from my 4,000 nara bonus airtime.

Late into the evening, I checked my data balance and I had my full 3.5gig intact and I saw another 700mb for night plan. I disregarded that as system error and went about my own normal business.

I used the Internet for a while and about three hours later, I wanted to see if they had started deducting from my data and Lo! I saw I had 615mb left.

I didn't download. In fact I made sure I didn't download because I wanted to ensure I used a substantial amount of the airtime to make calls.

How on earth did I spend 2.9 gig in three hours?

I called Customer Care and they were quoting some nonsensical thousands of kilobytes that I used.

My phone is telling me otherwise. No matter the difference in the data usage calculations, it shouldn't be that much. Screenshot attached.

This is a huge inconvenience from MTN. 2,000 Naira might be meagre but this is unacceptable.

This is not my first time of subscribing on this phone for different data plans. Why is this different? I am not going to accept this.

Really? I think u need to dial *131# to check their new data plan packages.
1,000 for 1.5gb is a 30 days sub
2,000 is for 3.5gb for 30 days, and so on like that

You may have to give link to the said advert cos it seems you know better than Customer service staff who have been telling me it's been due to technical error

I did same sub on the 11th of this month. I had 5gb plus yesterday. Did a little browsing yesterday morning. Tried browsing in the evening and nothing was connecting. Checked my bundle balance and was shocked.
I was like how can nairaland and a little of WhatsApp yesterday take 5gb.
Did another sub yesterday, never knew I wasn't the only one who got scammed.
Why I had 7gb plus was because I was on the previous 2500naira 4.5gb plan. The previous megabyte was rolled into the new 3.5gb plan.

Mtn are not thieves. They're still the best when it comes to data deductions and all that. If you doubt try Airtel and Etisalat.
However, your case is quite unfortunate but I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time.

MTN's call center agents are the WORST in the history of call center agents! Don't even waste your time trying to get compensated or re-imbursed your stolen data because they will keep looking for every possible means to pin the blame on YOU so as not to give you a refund.

I've been there, done that. And guess what? My MTN line has been permanently switched off/relegated for more than 4 months now. Etisalat ti take over! Fvck dah shii undecided
but etisalat calls is too expensive. Or is there anything I can do to make it cheaper? They charge me #25 per minute angry i really want to abandon my mtn line for just receiving of calls

Dude so why are they there? undecided they are called the customer care/agents for a reason.
You don't come telling me they are helpless so of what use are they? Then their offices should be closed down since they've become totally useless. undecided

And I hope when you have a similar problem you'll be treated in that way you just suggested. sad
exactly how an outsider would judge. You have no idea the things they pass through. In my center then, they preferred a working computer to a healthy staff. How do you respond to a situation where customers have seen everything about a new product/service online but the so called agents won't even get a mail? When a call comes in for further inquiries, and you're like "what the hell is this one talking about". I don't wanna badmouth them but it's hardly the agent but the network
