Two Effective Ways To Deal With Past Hurts by ceecia(op):
The past can be likened to a museum
filled with memories of things that have
happened in our lives , both positive and
negative, we regularly visit this place, to
reflect on the things that have happened,
this process has the ability to affect your
future in a positive or negative way.
Whenever we think about the past, we
usually are quick to reflect on the
negative experiences we have had, this
births fear and have the ability to affect
our decision making and the way we
handle affairs especially when it comes to
relationships.

Our good experiences births
confidence that we can produce better
results and make today better than it was
yesterday. The past is the experiences and
fears you have had. The good things in the
past produce the positives in our future
today while the bad things in the past that
we have not dealt with produce negatives
such as emotional issues, relational
difficulties, personality problems and even
marriage troubles. If you are going to be
successful in future relationships with
people, you will have to deal with the
past. In order to deal with the past, you
will need, to be honest with yourself and
consciously and willingly do these things.

1. Forgive yourself. There is no point
beating yourself up over mistakes you
have made in the past. Mistakes make
us wiser and help us in making better
decisions.

2. Forgive the person that offended you.
If you don’t forgive the person who
offended you, you might miss the
better things coming your way. The
simple act of forgiveness can set you
free from your past.

A lot of times we have been hurt by
people very close to us like relatives,
friends, and even partners and we carry
around the anger and hurt and tend to let
it affect how we deal with new people that
we meet. You will need to forget about
the things of the past to reach for the
better things in the future. Do not allow
the regrets of yesterday stop you from
making progress today. That is why
forgiveness is very important in dealing
with the past.

Some people have left our lives and we
keep thinking and hoping for them to
come back but the truth is there is always
a purpose for everything and everyone in
our lives. It is possible that person was
meant to be in our lives for a short time
so we can learn some things from the
relationship. If someone decides to leave
your life, let he or she go because
sometimes we need to let some people go
to open room for better people to come
in.

Mistakes we make often make us
better people so you should not be afraid
of making any mistake, but you should
learn from the mistakes of the past. There
is always something better for you despite
the fact that the past was filled with hurts
and betrayal.

When we do all these, our baggage drops
off of us and our past truly becomes the
past with no negative influence in our
lives today.
