Neat work space but you can still do more to improve your Occupational Health Safety and Environmental standards by moving your chair off the wall so that you can benefit from ergonomic standards i.e the chair needs to rotate freely (if its designed to rotate) that wall would obstruct the rotation of that chair which will contribute to back and upper body pains ( Work Related Upper Limb Disorders).

All these plenty grammer untop my space. Lolz

Anyways, I don't sit on it much. My job requires frequent movements around the salon to ensure every thing is in top shape

I have been in a similar situation years back where I have to choose between having a job for the money sake and building a career path. Other colleague of mine choose the job with the money and that with time they will find other ways out for their career but I didn't. I waited and hope on God, shortly I got my career path of job. It's a difficult choice to make I must tell u. If you don't have any means of survival go for the later but don't fail to plan your career alongside

I appreciate your response....been longing for it, just so you know... I do envy you smiley

Your reply is so wrong.

You missed where she wrote that most of her subordinates are rather insecured cos of her position.

I am really intrigued by the fact that a Nigerian woman can be a captain

And feel so chauvinistic that I'm compelled to believe it is worthy of celebration too(this shows how programmed my brain is!!!)

I mean, of i believed a woman can achieve such a feat,i would've termed it ordinary and not worthy of celebration
But i am still shocked by the fact that a woman, nay Nigerian woman, can captain a ship or what-have-you!!!!

grin grin grin grin
Tell me, does saying her subordinate are jealous or insecure of her position answer the simple question I asked her?

For fuck_ sake, I asked a simple question, nothing, I repeat, nothing necessitated her reply to me. So you saying I'm wrong in my reply only tells me you're poking your nose where its not needed.

Let the lady answer the question, and stop jumping to conclusion bro.

Enjoy your weekend.

Allo. Of what use is it to post pics of your work place, when if you ask this same peeps to meet you in person, they flee like flies?

Its always easy for peeps to form whatever they feel like forming on the internet. Anybody who wants to know what I do for a living, should pm me, let's meet in person, and talk business. Its that simple. smiley

I'm so wowed with all I've seen on here, ranging from offices and field personel, I duff my hat for y'all.

I studied Electrical Electronics Engineering with a flair for control and Instrumentation and electromechanics... Basically, I'm the type that likes to sweat and get his fingers dirty.

I recently just got called to a job... Two actually but the first is with a penta company (Marine and land) offering stipend...emphasis on the stipend and the other is a microfinance offering more.

I'm confused as to which to go with cos the before I have a flair for and but can barely take care of transport and feeding which in turn means I'm working for free.

The later is around Apapa but not in tune with my career path.

Wiser ones, pls advice... Speak to me!!!

Most a times its always that way. Getting stuck between two options. Sticking to your career path and ensuring you are passionate about it is always the best and fun as well. It may take time in yielding rewards but when it starts you are definitely gonna be wowed. Experience matters a lot in engineering. I once worked in a firm that literally pays me nothing but am enjoying skills I learnt from them those days now. But if your situation is extremely critical and you must survive, then take the one with the pay. But you must never loose focus. Always update yourself in technological knowledge. Save some cash for technical trainings having in mind you are gonna get back to your field ASAP.

This must be a very interesting job to you but do you know that falls from height is the major cause of fatality(death) in the workplace. You can improve on your Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Standards by ensuring you plan your work and introduce a fall arrest system that includes your body harness, connector and an anchor point.

Falls are really and can lead to a life altering event for both the worker and his family members.

OK, I have a friend who is in safety. I'll seek his inputs. Thanks
