Hello everyone, I have a question and i would appreciate if someone who has been in this situation can advice or if u know someone who was.. I would be applying for my f1 soon and would like to travel with my child who is a US citizen, and because she is a citizen she wasnt indicated as a dependent on my I-20. My confusion now is do i go ahead and indicate on my application that I would be traveling with her or leave her out. Thanks |

Adazlolly:I'm sorry that I don't reply you. Can you write me here. It's not easy switching between emails in limited time. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by aadeyi: 4:20am On May 22, 2016 |
dolapoojo:She is a citizen and she has the right to go to her country anytime she likes. Fear not America is her fatherland. ![]() Though u can indicate her on your application but the reason she was not indicated on your I-20 is because she doesn't need a visa before she can travel with you. |

Angelapinkytoes:Ok .....have fun but if i were you i would wait to enter 30 days instead of going earlier. Stay for 29 days in Wasington state and then fly a day to orientation in dc.. that safer than going earlier and encountering problems. You will be in d us guaranteed for the next 2 yrs visa plus 1yr opt so you have plenty times to see family however short. Best be safe than been bounced at entry. |

Visa approved on Friday for6.30am Lagos embassy even though it wasn't my doing... It was just brief and an interview of grace cos the V.O denied everyone he attended to before my turn. For that day, I was the second person he approved. I am a silent follower but have gained alot through this forum, God bless you all for your contributions and advise so far especially MsNas for every of her effort. She is the only friend and sister I know one on one. The transcript goes thus: V.O- Good morning Me- Good morning (with a smile) V.O- Can I have your passport Me- (Passed it to him) V.O- So where are you going? Me- To Ball States University, Indiana for my masters degree V.O- Course? Me- Accounting V.O- What course did you study for bsc? Me- Accounting V.O- Have you paid your sevis fee? Me- Yes (Passed the receipt) V.O goes through it and says it's not reflecting on the system yet He further asked when I finished school? Me- 2011 V.O- What have you been doing? Me- Went for my NYSc in 2012 which ended in 2013, ever since then took up a job with Wema Bank V.O- (Kept nodding)Who is paying? Me- My dad The V.O finally said I will be approving your visa so u get to pick it up on Thursday cos ur sevis fee is yet to reflect. And left immediately with a smile cos I wasn't even drilled as prepared as I was. Thanks for your contribution so far on this forum ... Please I need info on anyone going to Indiana or who lives in Indiana. Thanks |

dolapoojo:I will advice you not to indicate your daughter in your application because firstly she don't need a visa to travel to the states. You can travel with her if your visa is granted. Secondly, you won't want the consular to think you are traveling to the states because of your daughter and not for the purpose you applied for. |

Fortissimo:You will need someone who lives in Mississippi to do a cash deposit because that's where you can find BancorpSouth Bank. Only if the money can be transfer to the bank account. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Nobody: 1:21pm On May 22, 2016 |
Yusmash00:Thanks a lot. It doesn't have to be a cash deposit...online transfer will work too. |
| Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Yusmash00: 1:31pm On May 22, 2016 |
Fortissimo:You can wire money from your bank in Nigeria to BancorpSouth Bank. Just get the account details including the swift code and wire routing number. |
