Those brown roof houses were built in the 50s, 60s and 70s when your people were still leaving in bushes. Go look at newly built up areas in ibadan and you will know you are far behind. Ibadan is a major city by any standard and the state still add more value to Nigerian economy than any south east state.

It is really funny when people compare old built up area in ibadan to the best in south east. It simple means we are far ahead of you.

Tell them, keep trying to convince them that brown roof is better that new shinning mansions grin
Wish you good luck though.

Gerrarahere you dis Enugu village champion. The only developed part of your entire state no reach Ikeja in landmass. Quote me anywhere! Only one small area in the entire state is developed so get off your high horses jo. Enugu can't touch ibadan in overall development by a mile. We sabi how places like Abakpa, Ugbene, Obiagu, and all those your rural and dirty looking areas of your glorified ghetto Enugu look, dem even worse pass the old Ibadan settlements wey you dey run down. Yimu.

Are Abakpa and Obiagu cities?
@Post-Enugu metropolis should be 3rd before Port-Harcourt. @Innovator90 check out Enugu metropolis, sometimes you think you're in Lagos Island.

Thou you said your opinion, but it's good for your opinion to always have back up. You have to ask yourself which of these state have I travel to, or provide pics. Places like Owerri, ancient City of Ibadan, and KD on list can never be ahead of Delta and Anambra. Even Ogun is expected to be ahead of them. They are just being over hype on the media.

Which Delta?
There isn't no infrastructural development in the State. Asaba is worse.

I have been to ibadan before.
Stayed up to 2months there..
Ibadan need a total urban renewal.
And the number of Public Yards(face me i face you) houses in the city is very high.
I know IB city very well.

maybe u stayed in the ancient areas of ibadan.....
Ibadan is more than those derelict buildings u see in beere, oje, iyaganku etc
besides, apart from Abuja centre and some parts of island in Lagos, the rest of Nigerian cities needs a detailed tutorial and proper orientation on urban renewal/town planning.
Even, the so called port Harcourt looks more like a huge unplanned construction site. I was very much dissapointed the day I visited, n this is meant to be our third most developed city in this country.

Compared to Nigeria standard, PH is still the 3rd most developed city, but the gap is much & glaring compared to Abj & Lag.

PS : Any person that is saying Asaba is deveoped, needs a brain Transplant. Warri is better than Asaba by miles.

I spent eight years in Delta. Specifically, Warri, Ekpan, Effunrun, Edjeba, Jakpa, Asaba, Orunworun, Estate, etc were just a few of places I know inside out.

I schooled in Dom Domingos College, Edjeba.

So, stop running your mouth here. grin

but that warri-effurun axis is developed......
it may not be that economically viable when compared to other cities like Ibadan.....
and there may be limited opportunities.......
but when it comes to development, I give it to them.
I don't know of asaba...... I guess it's a new place, this still growing.....

The world's least liveable cities - 2014

Lagos, Nigeria Dom Joly said: "The most unpleasant place I've ever been is probably Lagos, which is just horrific. There's nothing much to see, it's incredibly polluted and vastly overbuilt and a very stressful place to visit. I won't be going back in a hurry." His words were echoed by John McCarthy who said: "A city I'm in no rush to return to is Lagos. A nightmare of traffic and noise. It was somewhere I didn't get the urge to linger and explore

The list should be

1. Lagos
2. Abuja
3. Port Harcourt
4. Enugu
5. Ibadan
6. Kaduna
7. Calabar
8. Kano
9. Uyo
10. Owerri.

My opinion though

what you and everyone else would say is just personal opinion.

I don't know why people feel offended by your personal opinion. most people will just rush to condemn your list without giving reasons

The topic didn't say most commercialized or economically most viable, it talks of infrastructure. You cannot call Onitsha or aba, umuahia has more infrastructure than both cities.

How do you define infrastructure?

Is it by having good roads, steady light, access to clean water, standard of living of the people, or by recreational centers, security, service industry(hotels, good transport, eateries, mail, plaza) or by commerces and economics activities?

I ask this because a friend once asked me where is more developed between a dilapidated town that has good roads built by the government and a new urban centers with yet to be built roads but with individuals buying lands and putting up gigantic and modern structures both for residential and commercial uses?

So what is your definition of infrastructure and development in that context

Nigerian cities have little to boast about when brought at per with even 3rd world cities in South Africa. Abuja to an extent is okay but the outlying districts betray the core. It is already turning to typical Naija at the outlying areas and satelite towns.
