Hope this message meets you well. I've seen your message and I know that you cannot wait to be with your family in the US. However, my wife's B1 visa was cancelled after she was issued the F1. That been said, I would advise that you wait till the appointed time. I'm by no means telling you what to do its only an advise. Do have a wonderful day.

Congrats Sirriddy. I have always held this belief that the SOP is the single most important admission document. It's like u r being given a chance to explain y u want in, they won't be looking out for stereotypical scribblings; they will be looking out for passion n hunger. This whole admission stuff is not about the figures, everyone have decent scores; it's about the words n d profs will read every bit of it.

I applied for Chemistry MSc and got admitted n partially funded. Yes you can present yourself as ur sponsor(u go jz defend am say na ur savings over d years).

i know the 30days rule,My classes resume September and it would be stupid of me traveling on F1 visa now.Am only traveling on my B1 visa to the states and be there for 2weeks or the whole of June and return back to Nigeria. And travel September 1st on my F1. I have concurrent B1 visa that expires May 2017 and my B1 was not cancelled when I got my F1.
