byrron:Nigeria produces far more complex items than toothpicks, you ignorant fellow. It is YOUR fault if you cannot produce and sell toothpicks. You want govt to build toothpick factories? Is that their job? Is it Dangote you're waiting for to build them? Sorry, he has more important deals going on.. It is YOU and your like that should be in such businesses. You can set up a small workshop in your backyard, and produce them and sell. That's how the ones you import from China are made. |

Nigeria needs to strengthen the ties among the multicultural groups in Nigeria, not with Russia. Puttin is a vile power monger son of bitch looking for vulnerable countries like Nigeria to defile. What does this mean for Nija Russia to systematically loom over Nigeria... Puttin indirectly seeking to make Nigeria become the likes of Syria & Ukraine... Nigeria heading for the doom... Let Puttin stay in his country & strengthen his rotten ties there, not Nigeria. |

bola77uk: If you say nigeria is been vulnerable, do you then mean Iran too had been vulnerable? Becos russians helped them build their nuclear plant And as it stand iran is presenrly more developed than nigeria. Russian are good in what they do. Very good. Their SOYUZ rocket (spacecraft) is the most reliable in the World. Quote me any where. US just get mouth for propaganda. |

If its built only in the north same peopl would still complain that Buhari is only concerned with the north. Remember almost all the hydro station are in Niger state and from time to they discharge water which cause flooding yet they have never attacked any of the facility |

Pakistan has nukes and nuclear technology. If they can handle it with all their problems, why can't Nigeria? There's very little difference between the two nations in terms of development. In fact the Nigerian economy, at 20th in the world, is bigger than Pakistan's, at 26th, and Nigeria's annual GDP per capita is higher. |

podosci: Russia is not an ally to biafra . I believe you meant France...you know during the civil war, France helped Biafra. And do you really believe there will be no Niger delta existing separately from biafra ? The Niger Delta struggle is different from the biafrans.... one thing to note |
Re: Russia To Establish Nuclear Centre In Nigeria by podosci(m): 12:27pm On May 29, 2016 |
Miscellaneous:Kanu said russia would attack Nigeria, thats what he said. There is no way Biafra and Niger delta can exist together, the ikwere people of river state dont want to hear anything Igbo. Economically, its stupid for Niger delta to pull out of Nigeria and merge with 60-55million Biafrans. It would be really stupid |

ilovetheline: That there was a design flaw in Chernobyl nuclear reactor built in the 1970s doesn't mean all subsequent plant designed had flaws. i believe modern Russian nuclear plants are designed with enough safety and automatic shut down and proper isolation of the nuclear materials. aside Chernobyl how many nuclear plant accidents with radioactive pollution have you heard of in history? Fukushima accident was caused by an earth quake followed by a tsunami that resulted in total power failure that disabled critical safety systems. so we don't have anything to fear from a well designed nuclear plant sited in Nigeria, not known for earth quake or tsunami, except sabotage. |

EazyMoh: Bros thanks for letting us know that u are a chemical engineer, that s a breath of fresh air,but am sorry,I still don't have faith on Nigerian trained professionals,as you can agree with me that many are just half baked, just imagine all the chemical engineers in naija, but they still import fuels, imagine all the doctors, but they still have many medical tourists, many engineers and houses are collapsing left, right and centre. I know that you are smart enough and/equal to the task,I trust you bro,but am sorry that I don't have faith on your colleagues. Nigeria is still not ready for such developments yet,pls think of what you and your coleagues can do for us with the winds, water and the sun.those things we have in abundants. Thanks again. Still say no to nuclear centre. 1 Like 1 Share |

I just don't like the idea of some terrorists threatening to blow up our nuclear reactors, or some sad stories about how the waste water disposal wasn't properly managed. I say, NO. The benefits are enormous, but the risks are real and can be absolutely devastating! |

Rossikk: We Nigerians are not yet matured, please look around the country and tell me which government own facilities is properly managed? We should not be comparing ourselves with other civilized countries. Until we drop most of our village mentalities Nigeria will still remain a poor developing country. There is no amount of sweet mouth that can change the present situation in this country, except those guys pushing for nuclear stuff wants to benefit from that project? We all know how things goes down here; greed |
