@op...Round 2....no doubt you have qualifications... the reason why you are called so often for interviews... but why only 3 mins in and you are sent packing? There has to be a problem with you and not Lagos or Nigeria.... the same problem would be ten times worse in the US. You need to identify the problem and work on it. First impression counts...especially in the US....maybe yours is not good so they despatch you like immediately. You need to be sharply dressed... well groomed... do you speak clearly and correctly?...look first in the mirror before thinking about migrating.

Take your driver's license and tax clearance number to LASTMA office, oshodi. You'll be asked to pay #2000 into LASDRI acct in Ecobank.....then proceed to their office for further process.

If you don't have tax clearance number(you haven't paid tax before) then send me a pm, I'll tell u how to go about it.

Saw this thread and I decided to read tgrough.I am exactly in OPs shoes. I also have BSc. in Industrial Chemistry from UNIBEN 2'1.Graduated 2014 finished NYSC last year July still looking for a lucrative job but still managing teaching jobs for now.

I wonder why Ind. chemistry graduates find it difficult to get a job in this country even with all the chemical companies available.

You have some point but suggesting life in Nigeria is better than the US or anywhere in the West is risible. You pay bills, lives on paycheck and have family and friends blablabla is a joke. Pal, only lazy asses without a promising profession or skills depends on state benefits or have problem with footing their bills and lives on credit. When you have a decent job, you don't have problem with bills. You may not save much but can take care of your personal bills.

And I'm sure you were having a laugh by inferring Naija is better coz family and friends can support you in dire times of needs. My question to you is, why would anyone decide to live a life depending on others or jettison an option of an independent living over that of a liability on others?

I'm in the USA and I can tell you the way things are. Nothing hidden, facts as they are.

This isn't a promise to help but to tell you few things you need to know. At the end of the day, your decision is yours.

I can however tell you this for free, if you come to the USA with family willing to house you and probably help you get something doing, you're better off.

USA isn't paradise, no doubt but it's far better when you're agile, determined and hardworking.

The more you stay, the more you struggle with frustration as against getting here, settling down and doing something to keep body and soul until you get your self properly settled.
