When the state allocation was abt 30b Amaechi took loans for invisible and unnecessary projects now we get less than 4b and honestly bro sentiment apart Wike is trying should he not take loans for the obvious projects he is handling? My dear d last month allocation (ie, May) for rivers state was 4 billion,887 million... Rivers state was d forth to receive highest after delta state. Osun state was d lowest with 131 million ... The politicians can only tell d public when it is small but can nt diclose it when it increases. Pls don't be deluded.

It beats me that people are still SENTIMENTALLY BLIND to what is happening in the state now. The score mark for any govt is satisfaction of its workers' first before any other 'eye service' venture. People have to be alive to enjoy any infrastructure now. Can the dead see? At least I remember that during Amaechi's tenure, my salary and arrears were coming regularly albeit a bit delayed by 1 or 2 wks. However, under this regime, the former was the case before judgement, after which if you manage the get your salary at all, you're indeed VERY LUCKY and for those of us whose arrears are still being owed, that is now in the hands of GOD. I pray God delivers us from this evil. Amen!!!

Initially when Wiked came to power, the State IGR was reading up to 12 billion naira, but because of the consistent borrowing the IGR has reduse to 5 billion naira.because the banks which he borrowed the money must collect their share.
He has gon to borrow from CBN, this means that CBN will also deduct from the federal allocation.

all these propaganda and lies there is God oh. Even at the height of our prosperity in Rivers State, IGR was neva up to 11b oh. Now they say it is 9b. I'm not in suppport of delaying workers salary and the unfair treatment of workers, me self neva see salary and from next week work will be once a week but lets be objective in our criticism. Apart from the ill treatment of workers, wike has been doing well so far.

Nobody answered the above question! is the exercise still going on? because I expect more post on this salary holding matter and how it went because what concern me now is our salaries and The Biometrics. fifth month have started reading and I don't think what we are going through is funny! I did my own yesterday, it was fast n well organised inside but outside d gate is where they need to work on.first come first serve protocol was not observed there.u would just be standing n be waiting for ur turn while those dat came late would just walk across to meet their friends n join d line frm there. But my confusion is that some persons have been paid salaries up to April awaiting May while many have not been paid a dine since February. How can this be justified? Is he paying some persons up to date to prove that he is paying workers while a huge number of workers are crying of hunger( no payment since February); Some received March without February while few had their payment doors closed after receiving only February? Can we say that this is a Wiked game?

debans22, thank God u reversed ur statement the way a reasonable civil servant would present it if not, u would have been regarded as a great enemy of progress. I may not blame u much because u talk like someone who still does "mummy thank ma, Daddy thank Sir". We really need to be praying for Wike so that this mess will not repeat itself after everybody must have been through with biometrics. Those of us with wife, children and siblings who are under our care are truly in a serious quagmire I tell u. May God come to our rescue, Amen.

We know the rapid economic meltdown in the country, but some states are living up to expectations, the likes of Delta, Cross River, Lagos are doing relatively well in terms of workers welfares. It is only in Rivers State that I saw civil servants that voted massively for PDP aspirants no matter the aspirant and his pedigrees. Even the 13000 teachers employed during Amaechi's tenure, voted massively for Wike not minding Amaechi's magnanimity to them. This world is full of intrigues. Let's be steadfast, watch and pray for a better Rivers State, it is God that will perfect this ugly trend.
