This should have been in niger delta,but they considered the risk......my brothers will have to reconsider their deeds/doings so it doesnt affect our(niger delta) future.....locating the refinery in a land-scarced state is not idea...i guess lagos was d only favourable location after niger delta

The answer is security. Lagos is the most civilized and secured society in Nigeria. No insurance company can insure oil project anywhere in Nigeria except Lagos.

If they should discover oil in all the local gov't in Lagos state and Ondo state combined, it will not even near a finger tip of the least producing oil state in the s/s(south south). Its like 5/5,000 in comparision.

Indian presently have the biggest oil refinery in the world and they have little oil reserve. Nigeria will not dash Dangote refinery crude oil, he has to buy it at the world market price. He can always buy anywhere else in the world. Angola, Ghana, etc all have crude oil.
