For instance,I got admission in pipeline engineering and applied with that,I later got admission on subsea engineering and subsequently went for the interview with subsea engineering admission letter. However,I was asked questions based on pipeline engineering and current affairs mainly. This is because that was what was showing on their record and my efforts to convince the interviewers that I changed my choice of course went on deaf ears.
Hi bro, are you studying now with the pipeline engineering or with the Subsea engineering...... I want to change mine...thanks

I happened to write on the 2nd (Thursday). The questions for ICT were so narrowed into the core subjects like "Digital Logic Design, Data Structure, software engineering, fundamentals of algorithms and advance computer architecture".

At first, i was like how on earth will this guys bring this kind of questions into an exams like this... Well, i was lucky when i stumbled to get my 41/50 out of the hall after several system issues when they used IE browser to drive the exams with an incomplete browser plugins. I had to switch to FIREFOX to avoid further issues

Well i won't dispute the very fact that the questions where easy!!! Men it WAS VERY HARD. As below:
(1) Consider a max heap, represented by the following array; 40,30,20,10,15,16,17,18,4 After inserting a nodes with value 35.Which of following is the updated max heap?
(2) The boolean expression AB'CD'is?
(3) How can you define an interrupt?
(4) In which one of the following methods for resolving the priority, the device with the highest priority is placed in the first position, followed by lower-priority devices up to the device with the lowest priority, which is placed last in the series?
(5) Sieve Technique can be applied to selection problem?
(6) Some bit field members are stored: I) left to right II) right to left III) in circular array.
and so on........

All i can say is, you just need to practice very well for the interview. Because from experience, you can score the highest but you are not guarantied to get the scholar because interview is another hard phase of this marathon.

God is the only answer to all of our questions and not man. You never know that your Scored 7 can take you to where you never expected... Keep praying and believe in him. Also pray for good governance of NDDC 2016 because 2015 government was really a mess. Can you imagine i was interviewed with an IPAD+INTERNET last year? lol....

I know this year will be good and we will have a lot of lucky people. Let's all pray for Mrs. Ibim Semenitari because she's a woman of her words just like our dear Dr. Christy Atako. I wish Dr. Christy Atako was on board....

Hi guys, hope good.To those that scored very high-congrats.To those that did not make as much as they expected-all hope is not lost.Cinfores 'cast' when a good number of people scored above 85% in the last PRESSID.An hour exam of maths, english(with passages),current affairs and logic. No sensible person will want to be embarrassed twice even if they were to conduct the exam.Like I said before, the test is just 40% of your total score while interview is 60%.
I have to say it clearly that no system is perfect, however,do not be disillusioned by people's assertion that NDDC isnt transparent. These kind of bodies are always under pressure cos there are people that you just cant say no to.However, they still have to meet their statutory responsibility of impacting on the people by making sure that a good number merit it.I had that misconception until I saw my fellow comrades-in-the-hustle get the award,I had to step up my game.

It is obvious that the average score is quite low,it simply means they will cut lower. The main thing is that you have done your best.I prefer to worry about things that I have control over rather than the ones that I dont.I think you have control over the interview which I feel will come up soonest. It is about five man panel interview and it gives balance cos they assess you differently.

My test was medical. The questions were all totally out of line. It was Really an embarrassing situation to witness as the failure rate remains alarming.

I must say it wasn't just a fair choice of questions. They would have specified the field of medical candidates they needed in the entire process

Or perhaps they should have considered other fields that are not in the medical line. It was an embarrassing experience for me.
Anyways, I am hopeful.

Am doing neither at the moment...I had a eureka moment and now changed to what I really wanted...For those that were asking if the guy saw the questions,I doubt. Some dudes are quite good in remembering questions. At some point,I do go to dragnet exam to literally click the answers and not to solve or read passages until I got a job and later this scholarship...Like I said before,I memorized the logic, verbal, maths and few current affairs ans for cinfores before they changed it last year.Meet me after exam and I can guarantee you at least 60% of the questions.Although it is a gift,at times it takes time and dedication.Nigeria is very competitive, you just have to go the extra mile to be a step ahead. There are many like that too.

That dude is sound even from his writing.Like I usually say, nothing is certain. They can decide to call for interview and judge it as 100% this time.Just prepare well and be in high spirits.

You can change to whatever you want that is in line with what they had specified during application as long as your reason is justifiable. However, the amount for MSC does not vary with years of your MSC course. If you want to change your course during interview,I advice that you read about both in case they insist that you must ans the one they want or on their record. That was what happened to me..........Goodluck

41/50. Whao! Did do guess work? Or you actually new the answers. The 19 I got were all guessed work. Tell me, did you see the questions before that day? The way you listed those questions makes one believe that an insider or something showed you the questions and you studied them. Because there is no way anybody would have scored 30, except you are lecturing computer architecture. God will see us through.
Seems the guy did a different test from the rest of us cos no questions from Data structures, Software Engineering and all as he had listed were asked, that's for me and most people I've asked. They only focused on Computer Architecture and Digital Electronics (Boolean Algebra). If they had broadened the scope of his questions to those he had listed out and narrowed the scope for the rest of us, then it's an advantage for him and quite a biased test. Anyways let's be hopeful.

Please which of the days did you seat for the test cos I'm really surprised with the topics you listed out as those where your questions came from. Most people I've interacted with and myself too were asked questions strictly from Digital Logic design and Advanced Computer Architecture only. So I'm quite surprised yours was more broadened to cover more questions in core areas like Data structures, Fundamentals of algorithms and Software Engineering, which is how it ought to be for a standardized Computer Science test. You were indeed lucky then. If different standards are applied to different candidates writing same exams, then that isn't a standardized test. Congrats man.

Yea, they had to interview so many people in short time, the key is to further spread the days or kuku reduce the number of people they'll invite.... I think they interviewed 2000 last year.... Judging by thus year's test, I doubt if we're all up to that 2000 for the test... And those are profs not HR people ... Not justifying them... Same case study: it'll be same result...

In the interview, they will ask you:
1. To justify the reason you want to study in that area.
2. Questions on the selected area of study
3. Current Affairs (Federal and State)
The last time I appeared before the interview panel, they asked me, "who was the first governor of my state" (Rivers State). They asked a friend of mine, to name the first democratic president of Nigeria.
They may ask you to give them the course content of the course you want to study and all that. The interview is usually simple because the questions are from what you tell them in the panel. For example, if they ask you, "what did you study in your first degree?" And you answer "Computer science". Then they will ask, "Did you do programming languages?" And you say "yes". They will ask you to name the ones you did. And you say, qbasic, fortran, C++, JAVA and scripting languages etc. And they ask again. "What does the extension .js stand for?" If you had done java scripting, you will know that .js is an extension for java script file. And in that order. You have to be honest with yourself. Do not say what you have not done, it will lead you into trouble.
For those that will make it to the interview, goodluck to you and God's favour.

Not different bro, all test for sure came from the test data base which was randomly generated for different days and batches. This was simply the laws of Cybernetics. I took like 10min to study the questions... The only luck i had was just that the IE which was the default test browser messed up a lot 8am guys big time. The Test browser interface was suppose to have an (End Test) at the very bottom of the screen, but due to JAVA RUNTIME plugin incompatibility with IE, it landed guys to an incorrect mediation in sending back the end scores back to the server. So it was a huge challenge for the exams organizers due to low knowledge in system support and troubleshooting (maybe).

So their final resort was to use Firefox and asked most lucky peeps to rewrite.

If you know you scored well enough that you think you'll be invited, then you need to energize your brain in your field of study, interview questions, current affairs and ultimately (PRAY EACH DAY TO GOD) for unconditional favour beyond a blind man's imagination. (LOL)

Our brain is just one tool that we under estimate. Just keep charging it and you'll be amazed on how it can perform some magic on that interview day.

Anything can happen, due to the failure rate of this exam. They may bring down the cut-off very low to accommodate so many. In that 22/50 should be very optimistic and get ready for the interview. I'm hopefully believing that my 19 will make it to the interview. If otherwise, still goodluck to all that will make it. Next time, I will apply for PHD.
