So kind of the woman to give the family her soup. Majority of Nigerians today would say kill her for stealing. I have heard of a woman with a baby on her back that was given a bowl of salt to feed on until she died because she stole a food item worth not more than 100 Naira from the market. Most Nigerians are barbaric and hypocrites. A rich man would give huge sums to the church either to seek for prayers, to impress the pastor or to impress other members. Meanwhile, this same man have beggars living around him. It's God that blesses and answers prayers, not pastors. Whatsoever you do to your neigbour, be it good or bad, you do same to God. |

This narrative has moved me to tears. It's just as if the Bible story of two women agreeing to eat each other's child to survive is playing out again. I can't even imagine how grieved God is concerning those bound in Nigeria. Some will say it's politicians and corruption but not the country. Well, as long as there's something called 'politics' in Nigeria, this will continue...until, maybe, regionalism takes place. |

Let him not be fought or beaten for the offence committed for he a poor man only took or stole what he needed to eat with his family members. |

Let's go back to the regional system; develop your people and area with what you have rather than going to Abuja to beg for money every month. How many states in Nigeria can pay workers' salaries today? Very few! Imagine a secondary school teacher stealing a pot of amala to sustain her life and that of her children! This is happening all over the country only that this one made the "front page" So sad. |

It's a sad story though and I'm sure a lot of well meaning Nigerians who still think with der brain will understand wat d woman must av been going tru..am not going to judge er for taking dat bold step, am sure she must av tot it tru & realize desperate times calls for desperate actions...er neighbor was kind enof not to judge er, so y shd we..we av so many of our Brodas & sisters dying out der as a result of dis crisis all over country..der so many states out der aving issues wit payments of der workers salary...u can imagine a state like bayelsa owing, a state wit an oil revenue allocation dat doubles EKiti states normal allocation from d federal account...I believe its the right time we all shd thinking out of d box and finding solutions to our problems and letx stop been tribalistic about opinions..Wateva affects me affects u right now..we all er feeling d heAt and I hope we survive it all..God bless us ...God bless Nigeria |
