sense is there Mr.most of us bought most of these so called penny stocks @higher prices,i mean prices above their current rates sometime ago and await for appreciation for loss recovery, while some newbies don't think so. Remember all that glitters is not gold. Though am no longer in a haste to jump into any stock or jump out @ loss in the name of investment. I have learnt to turn my past loss into paper loss, while i patiently wait for those stocks to attain their intrinsic and value. Good day

When buying DO NOT CALCULATE "IF IT APPRECIATES BY ONLY N0.5K, I WILL MAKE N1M", THINK "IF IT DEPRECIATES BY N0.5K ONLY, I WILL LOSS N1M, BUT I WILL AT WORST GET N0.35K/SHARE DIVIDEND AND PUSH LIFE/LAMENT AT A PEPPER SOUP JOINT (NOT AT HOME SHOUTING AT THE KIDS/MADAM..... grin grin grin)/MINIMIZE THE PAPER LOSS AND WAIT FOR TOMORROW... grin

Skye bank's result is pending with CBN. Stanbic's result with FRCN and Oando's with Ernst & Young. Their results may be released in this order: Skye, Oando and Stanbic. The banks are awaiting regulatory approval while auditors are battling to understand WT's maze of a result. cheesy

Oando secured c.N96bn loan from 10 banks..

A birdie also chipped that their Q1 would be in the green zone, but FY'15 red zone.

And Wale has been singing it like the way he sang when they closed the COP deal. But I dey suspect these sharks. They want to pump up the price then dump just before the FY'15 comes out.

The question on my mind is this: Is it that the banks see light at the end of the tunnel or they are about to embark on another reckless lending spree?

If it is the former, then Oando could be included in my watch list. Sustained oil price above $50 might could have been the major contributing factor to the success of this loan syndication/restructuring in addition to divestment conditions given to Oando. Sentiments around this company are still very strong hence the reason for its share price volatility. What am I saying? This stock should be good for JIJO so for JIJO only will I play this stock if and/or when I decide to.
I am still skeptical about the viability of the upstream business of Oando. How is the insecurity in the Niger delta affecting their production? How will the company benefit from the price recovery if production is hampered? Make I keep watching for entry sha. I hope WT releases the audited first make price crash well well before releasing the rumoured positive Q1 result......meanwhile someone should please call NDA make them them allow me chop "oyel" money through Oando. grin cheesy

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PharmAlfred: 5:08pm On Jun 07, 2016
From my observation of the NSE, it seems fundamentals rarely work. I think it is largely about sentiment and perception. Investors tend to go with the tide. People hardly consider intrinsic values. Some unpopular stocks seem to have good value but would never get off the ground because sentiment isn't in their favour.

I wouldn't be surprise if Oando start surging even without a fantastic result for a long time now.
