Yes - you should provide the original of the same copy that was submitted with the petition. Local government birth certificates or NPC birth certificates are both acceptable.

My wife and I got married in a ceremony in the US. She is a permanent resident. After marriage and honeymoons, she filed an F2A for me, and I go back to my country (Nigeria, it is both our country of birth)

Now after months of wait, that NVC asks for supporting documents, my marital status is 'single'. I never thought of updating my status here since we got married in the US, and not here

Do I need to register our marriage here before getting supporting documents for NVC? Good day sir

if this option is not applicable, can you recommend a valid option?

Serious because I lost the very copy I scanned to my petitioner when my application was innitially filed with uscis.

I have since applied and gotten another from the population commission(a new one as they won't give a true copy of old one ) which I scanned to the petitioner to include in supporting documents to NVC, she will also include the old copy in the packet.

Meaning, I now have the photocopy of the old one, and the original of the new one.

Tell me this shouldn't be a problem at the interview, pls.

I also noticed the folks at NPC now print attestation paper on plain A4 paper with no watermarked NPC logo
as in the version they issued in 2009, I hope this should not be an issue also.

If you were married in the US, then the supporting documentation would be your US wedding certificate. I am not sure where you are listing yourself as single...

You will need to provide whatever "birth certificate" evidence was provided to USCIS as part of the petition. You can also request a NPC birth certificate or attestation of birth.

Yes, you can apply for a B1/B2 visa at any point if you meet the requirements.

Based on the information you've provided, you are eligible for the US visa. I don't give odds on getting a visa because this isn't gambling, it's you presenting information that is requested.

If a Consulate talks about verifying a document. for example Academic from a national examination. does that process take a long time. or the embassy experts independently verify the documents

It all depends on the documents - in a worst case scenario we would have to take the documents down to the courthouse they supposedly came from to verify with their records if it is genuine or not.

Invitation letters are not required or looked at. I suggest you read the non-immigrant visa thread.

My husband made a mistake by putting his name as the Petitioner instead of the Applicant. I filed an inquiry form on NVC website yesterday to report the error. You have to reach out to NVC directly - if he is listed as the petitioner, though, he will have to show proof of his US status (which he won't have) before the process can move forward. I had a slight misinterpretation with my name on my passport and I plan on fixing it ASAP (correct surname incorrect name), but in the last two~three years, I have applied for a B1B2visa with the same name and was denied...! My fiance will be requesting for a K1 visa for me in the future. my question is will there be an issue as regards previous application and does anything needs to be done based on the previous passport name i used?

There will definitely be questions about why the name was different, but if you are honest on your application (ie. you HAVE applied for a visa in the past and were refused) and have evidence that the change was done legally and reflected an error on your passport, there shouldn't be any problems.
