niyi767: I would suggest that you make a new application using nothing but honest information. Do not try to remember or copy anything from the old one. Add a short not stating your previous refusal and that the application was submitted by an agent. You may be refused but you will not be banned for fraud. The answer you receive will give you information for the future. |

Hi Everyone, just if anyone can help. Currently in the uk and wife and child in Nigeria. I have worked for the last 3 months and want her to visit. Would my 3 months payslip be sufficient to support her as a sponsor? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nairacountry(m): 1:09pm On Jun 12, 2016 |
manza88: In UK as what sir? Does your wife has good ties in naija? Working, investment project et ce tera |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nairacountry(m): 1:14pm On Jun 12, 2016 |
aodis: Possibly a decision is already made. They would possibly based the decision purportedly made on responses from your sister and overruled your expected/required response. Ceteris Paribus, if you lack not much evidence from your end, it would come out positive. Be optimistic bro. All the best |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abeylevels(m): 1:41am On Jun 13, 2016 |
justwise: My first refusal was due to the fact that the ECO stated that I didnt have enough funding when I applied for Masters program in UK. This was about 10 years ago. My second refusal was that I didnt demonstrate how am related to a family member i wanted to visit in the UK. This was about 6 years ago. Please advice me if I need an immigration lawyer to assist me with this new application. My company in Nigeria has just nominated me for this training in UK . My company is a subsidiary of a Parent company(a Group company) based in Europe(but outside UK). This parent company organizes foreign training for the local companies under it. I am expecting an invitation letter from the company in UK for the official training. The invitation letter will state that the Parent company will pay the UK company the cost of training on behalf of my Nigerian company who will reimburse its parent company later. My company in Nigeria is also writing an introduction letter stating that it will be responsible for all the cost of the training, accommodation , flight & feeding in uk. My Nigerian company will also provide bank statement to show its capability to fund my Uk training. The Parent company will only write a letter confirming that it will pay the UK company the training cost on behalf of the Nigerian company. I would have preferred that my Nigerian company directly pays the UK company the cost of training but the UK company is only accepting payment from the Parent company. It was the Parent company in Europe that negotiated & arranged the training with the UK company. My second concern now(apart from my initial question) is that this Parent company will only write a letter stating that it will pay the UK company on behalf of the Nigerian company. Is the letter from the Parent company going to be any issue before the ECO? Is the letter sufficient? Will the ECO not see the Parent company as a 3rd party? Are there other documents being expected from the parent company? Please help |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 8:53am On Jun 13, 2016 |
abeylevels: Anybody can make the payment; the ECO is more concerned about the original receipt of payment and a confirm reservation for the training. Your past refusals are not much of a problem, but you must clearly disclose and give concise reasons for all past refusals in your new application. It’s called an integrity test. Your new visa application will be treated/considered differently. Documents you need from your company; Registration Certificate Tax clearance Certificate Introduction letter from company Statement of account or Letter of sponsorship, this depends on the type of organization you work with. Document you need to prove your ties to your home country. Employment letter Introduction Letter from company Hotel reservation Training receipt and seat reservation Six months statement of account print out (Salary Account) Six months payslip showing monthly tax deduction or Personal Income Tax card. And any other documents to prove your ties to Nigeria, e.g. property documents, shares document, inheritance, Marriage certificate and Children Birth Certificate. |

Your application will be despatched within 48 hrs. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, please disregard as they cannot. Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by abeylevels(m): 7:05pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
FrontPageLawyer: Thanks a lot @FrontPageLawyer & @Justwise I want to confirm if it is very important for my company to pay for the training cost in advance before applying for the visa? Since we have to be sure that the visa is out before making payment. The training organizer in UK already sent an invitation letter while we have not yet paid. Will UK embassy still expect payment before visa is granted? You mentioned hotel reservation in documents required for Business visa. I saw in UK website that they don't need hotel & flight bookings. See attached extract from their website stating that they don't need these. Can you give clarification? I am also confused as regards the correct website through which I will apply online for the Business visa. From the Uk website, they now classify business visit as standard visitor. They mentioned that standard visitors can use http://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/uk-visit-visa while other visitors can use http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. Please do you know of anyone who has recently applyed for Business visa this year 2016 and what website they used? @FrontPageLawyer & @Justwise ,is there a way you can send me your email add? I need further assistance on checking some documents. mine is contact4online@yahoo.com Thanks
|
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 7:14pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
abeylevels: To confirm your reservation for the training, advance payment is required and of course you need to submit a confirm hotel booking except you have other accommodation you're staying in the UK. Flight reservation is not a requirement. Use www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. It's a very simple procedure. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by diamondsare4eva: 7:40pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
This is a normal procedure for them. A friend was called and after a day, decision was made on his application. If your sister answered their call, she should be able to tell them your reason of coming and if it corresponds with what you submitted that won't be an issue. aodis: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 8:30pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
I am glad to hear you have found one hospital. Get all the necessary documents and most importantly show u have ties in Nigeria, such as bank statement, employment letter, shares or assets, properties, if married show marriage certificate. Also, follow the link i sent to u .. Apply for a standard visa.... (6 months) if your treatment will be more than 6 months , you can apply for extensions. some important points Private Medical Treatment You must provide a letter from your doctor or consultant in the UK, which includes: details of the condition requiring treatment or consultation estimated costs and likely duration of treatment details of where treatment or consultation will take place if you are applying for an 11 month visa and are from a country listed in Appendix T part 1 of the Immigration Rules you must provide a valid medical certificate issued by a medical practitioner listed in Part 2 of Appendix T Please also look through this link... it will be of help for your standard visa.... https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules In my personal opinion i will say you should pay the 300 pounds before u apply. You do not need anyone anymore.. i only suggested you use a family to contact them because you said they have not responded to you. If you decide to pay , then make sure u include payment confirmation. Good luck wecgreatnaija: |

ancestorial: @ancestral, how was your visa application? Did you add any extra documents? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by dtraveler: 7:02am On Jun 14, 2016 |
Hello Good people of Great Nation, Even though I have submitted my application already, and paid, but still have a chance to cancel. I want to clarify a question. There was a question: HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY OTHER PENALTY IN RELATION TO A CRIMINAL OFFENCE; FOR EXAMPLE A CAUTION, REPRIMAND, WARNING, OR SIMILAR PENALTIES IN THE UK OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY? Once I was in the UK 4years ago, I forgot to flash my oyster card at a previous location and the train people asked why, and billed me 20pounds, which I paid on the spot, is this a criminal offence? or am I good to go? 2. I previously held a 2year visa which expired in 2015. I just compared the 5year vs 10years visa fees, and the difference is like 5 years - £600 10 years - £752. 152pounds difference. I think it's wiser to get a 10year visa instead of 5years, will I be eligible for the 10years, because normally, I got previous 6 months, then 2years? and also will my 4years passport be able to take even a 10year visa? |

[quote author=abeylevels post=46553516] @ancestral, how was your visa application? Did you add any extra documents? It suppossed 2b an all expense paid trip by the govt, unfortunately they couldn't approve d funds then. We cancelled d trip |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nairacountry(m): 8:24am On Jun 14, 2016 |
dtraveler: Does it mean you pass/jump (joinbodysomebody) the barrier at the entrance station whereas you have a valid oyester card and YOU were singled out at the exit station that you didn't flash-in at the previous (entrance) station? Please elaborate so we can understand better |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by dtraveler: 8:41am On Jun 14, 2016 |
nairacountry: Thank you for taking time out to respond. Really appreciate it. Sincerely, I cannot remember it clearly myself. The scenario that played out is either of the following: a. I didn't flash it at the previous entrance b. The card didn't cover a particular zone. c. I didn't join body, I even probably flashed it but got a red sign, but still i joined the train, all I remember was that they'll either send the bill to where I stayed or I could pay there the fine, which I did instantly, it wasn't my oyster card, it belonged to my aunt's family. Does this constitute in anyway as a crime ( I have already filled, paid for a 5years visa, but if this is something to worry about, then best to cancel and input this detail) 2. I previously held a 2year visa which expired in 2015. I just compared the 5year vs 10years visa fees, and the difference is like 5 years - £600 10 years - £752. 152pounds difference. Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nairacountry(m): 9:20am On Jun 14, 2016 |
dtraveler: 'a' is out of it You wouldn't ordinarily board a train without going through the barrier at the entrance station likewise won't be able to exit from the exit station without u passing through the barrier without a valid travel card, in your case an oyster. If with a wrong or expired or blah blah oyster card, the barrier won't allow you access. Possibly you alighted at an extra zone where your travel card wasnt primed for.......which is understandable (wasn't aware I hv passed my terminus kind of excuse) though you shld have joined another return train without coming out of the station Having said this, you were culpable, reason you were fined. If you "boarding a train without a pass is criminal...." violated the laws, you would have been handed to the police in the station and your finger prints taken and prosecuted accordingly (fined penalized or jailed as D case may be) but the station officer was lenient on you (coz ignorance is not an excuse), s/he charged you £20 and pronto you paid. My opinion No record of what happened on YOU The offence committed was not treated as criminal offence So I suggest you keep appointment with fate and please be sure you follow the rules always. Expect the best Caveat : opinion stated above are purely mine and based on information available. 1 Like |
