The market women in Bodija market(Ibadan) sweat for those things they wear. They dont have corruption charges on their backs, they were not oil ministers when oil sold for the highest and money started growing wings.

Do not insult Ibadan women, they might sound/look razz but they have honor and pride in not having their names smeared in thievery.

Madam, they wear gold yes, but they also have honor.
lets be fair on the woman, she was not born poor, she was born into royalty, a princess went to the best schools, worked with shell n became 1st female director( ego) minister of transport, minister of mines n industries, minister of petroleum resources, OPEC President, businesswoman, philanthropist, wife and a mother, she has not being arranged or convicted in any competent court of law anywhere in the world. why will aljezeera label her CORRUPT. she is still innocent until proven otherwise. am not her fan she may have skeletons in her closet. let's unveil it before stoning here k #neutralpointofview

Who are the market women in Bodija? Are they not Nigerians? Are they not humans? When did you become a judge or on what premise did you draw your conclusion that she is guilty and without honour? It pains me to note that govt alone is not the problem of Nigeria but 99 out of 100% of its citizens are our problem. Cutting corners have become a way of life in this country.so do not rush to paint anyone innocent or guilty at such a quick pace.

EFCC should please collate their evidence and take this woman to a court of law so that this issue can be closed once and for all.

For those talking about credentials, is there anywhere it is written that a person that is highly educated with great credentials cannot abuse their positions? Can we please be OBJECTIVE for once?! INTELLECT AND MORALS are not synonymous. Even Bank CEOs in the UK earning millions of pounds abuse office despite their private education and what not, so please leave that story.
Well said but in this case, this was a former director in shell, hope you know what that means, they earn more than the senators in a month and Honest Money.

I know people who are at the top of their careers in Shell. Although Shell pays their staff well, it is NOWHERE close to the huge figures required to live the lifestyle madam was living, so I do not buy that.

Diezani am with you don't mind them including mynd44.
Mynd44 your comment is preposterous and unbecoming...her ladyship diezani hasn't been put on trial and presumed innocent until a court of competent jurisdiction convicts her!... Maybe you don't know that Diezani was a Shell staff for over a decade and rose to become a director of that multinational corporation.... Or you are ignorant of the fact that she married a former military chieftain who's also a former minister under obj... Not done do you know she has always had a privileged background? Or maybe you forgot you bought fuel @ 87 naira under her watch!

Menstrualpad or whatever you call your self, if Diezani is truly innocent of all these barrage of allegations and innuendoes she has been subjected to since she left government especially the latest one, let her sue the EFFCC and possibly Al Jazeera for defamation of character and claim for damages rather than joining issues with them on the pages of newspapers and in the social media. If she is sincere and can possibly tell the whole world where she got her sudden wealth, then she will be exonerated and the court will award substantial amount of money as damages.Until this is done, many people will continue to assume that she stole why she was in government because this a common trend with Nigerian government officials. the fact that she was once an executive director in Shell does NOT make her billionaire overnight.EFCC has made allegation with tangible and verifiable evidence it is left with Diezani to come and clear her name with FACTS and FIGURES rather than mare assertions and whipping up of sentiments.

Did you read of the places she has worked and how many years. Who had ever occupied those positions and cannot afford those things?

What is your definition of hard work?
Exactly, it's seems far-fetched that any one who has been a director in Shell since 2007 (the richest oil company globally) can't afford such assets !
I find the Nigerian penchant for besmirching people without critical thinking rather funny.
Please Nigerians let's learn to think before following the pack mentality.
Someone should tell us what is the take home of a director in Shell bonuses + allowances and the yearly housing , I know from a friend that directors are paid in forex.
A nairalanders here actually told me she was a director for only one year which has been proven to be false so please lets stick to facts and resist the lust to just blurt out comments

No-one in Nigeria can ever go to jail for corruption. Ever! Any sane person who has ever done business in Nigeria at a high level is always baffled how the masses of Nigeria not only take so much nonsense but justify and defend it whilst they are dying and hungry and poor and their children are being brought up to become servants to the rich forever.

I've stopped caring about what happens to Nigeria. The poor of Nigeria themselves don't care. Let me fend for me and my family abeg.

They will gather but if their gathering is not of the lord they must surely scatter. Pay no attention to them M'am , focus on ur treatment and get well soon. Our prayers are with you. Now the dullard has occupied the position out of greed, whats happening? Nigerians buy petrol at the official price of #150 even now that price of crude oil has depreciated. God will always fight for his children.

Madam, haba, you know you are not clean. Why must you start making noise over issues like this. shot up your mouth because you are not clean.

Your records are not hidden. You first declared that you have cancer and instead of you to keep your mouth shut, you still have the mind to start defending your already messed up character.Note that you do not have any sort of character left. Buhari need to get you back to give account of your stewardship to the country. When you were in power, you never for ONE day declared that you have cancer. Immediately your asssss got blown open, you declared that you have cancer. My prayer is that you MUST not dies until you clear your self by returning the public money with you person.

Does that means she parades credentials than professors and when credential becomes money. Please let call a spade a spade, somebody like you would still come out to complain bad roads and poor health care when these people finished looting the money. If she had manage oil very well under her watch at least, there should be a cancer center in Nigeria instead of going abroad. OR Do you think she would be forming cancer if Jonah is still in government

If truly that house costs 18 million dollars and the jewelries cost 2 million dollars to total 20 million dollars then there can be no doubt she's a thief.
Shell Co. in Nigeria does not pay directors that kind of money. Besides she didn't buy all those things when she was in Shell. She bought them as a minister whose official take home pay is far smaller than her director pay at Shell. I doubt if even the President and CEO of Shell Nigeria can buy such a house with cash down.

chai the hatred you guys have for this woman is extreme! perhaps borne out of jealousy and envy! that you fail to acknowledge the goods she achieved.
if u guys were to swap places/role with the Almighty for just a day, humanity will be long gone.
N.B.
am not trying to hold brief for her, after all she ain't only one who's got properties at home and in safe havens.
neither do I support her and other politician's in and out of govt chronic kleptocracy which has now become a tradition entrench by those who preceded her. this ya hatred for her is getting stale!
most of u guys have been discovered to be unrepentant hypocrites castigating others and keeping quiet about ya brothers whom are staunch veteran looters.
