Movic1:It's called eating their akara and having it. Israelis have been stuck to Lagos like flies on shit. |

HurtgenForest:so in other words, we will be back to the same problem. The creation of state or region is not the issue. What Nigerians need is development and infrastructure. It doesn't matter whether it was done by a premier or a governor or a prime minister! |

Movic1:Nairaland is really opening the eyes of many Nigerians to see how slimy these people of red mud are. Their mortal fear of regionalism is about the status of Lagos under regionalism. |

IHEJIRIKAisBOKO:You are absolutely correct |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by attackgat: 1:16pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Of course. There are many Igbos that have fraudulently put in other so called geopolitical zones. Igbos of the lower Benue, the Umu-ezeokaha people in the NC, Anioma, Obigbo and others in the SS. The must all be returned to where they belong, therefore, before the creation of any region, all Igbo elements must given the opportunity to vote to join their Igbo brothers in their region. Nigeria has divided the Igbo nation for far too long |

What I find funny is the timing of this clamour for change of Nigeria's governance structure. So now that power at the centre is back in the hands of the North/SW, you suddenly want the centre to be weakened? Now that it has been proven that politics of hatred and ethnic bigotry by the SE is totally powerless in today's politics of alliances, and it must build bridges with those it detests to survive? You suddenly want the Presidency to be as useless as the National Orientation Agency? Good luck. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 1:56pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
blackpanda:No we will not be back to the same problem for the three big tribes. Since some people agreed to be lumped together and hitting their chest shouting 'We SS' then let them suffer about that. ![]() |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 1:59pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
attackgat:Exactly my brother. We have to redraw our lines well. I am happy a lot of us are beginning to realise this. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:13pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
QuotaSystem:Even the SW have been calling for this, some prominent men from the region are also saying the same thing. This will be the best for all Nigerians as it will put an end to the type of bitterness surrounding presidential elections like the last one that produced Buhari. The northern regions will also elect men they like to harness their potential and develop at their own pace. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:14pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
PentiumPro:Oga this is not just about Lagos what of the present FCT? |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Goke7: 2:19pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
This is why the so called true federalism or regionalism can never work Why? we simply don't know what we want Tomorrow, someone will come up here so say porth harcourt and warri should come under the control of FG. We are all jokers, that's all. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Goke7: 2:24pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:so all these calls about regionalism and federalism is just because of the loss of last year elections? That can never be a strong basis for true federalism, it means we are merely playing politics, if my candidate does not win elections, I will simply be shouting resource control and regionalism eh? it means we are all jokers then ![]() |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:28pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
Goke7:Is that the only thing I wrote there? You saw only that sentence because that is what you wanted to see. You can think whatever you like, all I know is that Regionalism is the answer. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by PentiumPro(f): 2:30pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Well, it should rightfully go to the owners of the land. You can't be shouting for Biafra one hand and when reality hit you on the second hand to be talking about taking other people's land by FG under regionalism. Anyhow Nigeria is played out, the Yorubas will always have a better head start than any other region. They are the only tribe with the advantage of human resources that have both land and sea gateway. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:32pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
PentiumPro:After all that the nation has put in there ![]() Never! It belongs to all of us although we respect the fact that there are indegenous people there. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Emmynet50(m): 2:34pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
If our politicians will give us a true federalism where the states only contribute to d central, we will have a peaceful Nigeria were every region strives to develop at their own pace. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by PentiumPro(f): 2:35pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest: ![]() Are you to determine that? Ojukwu once tried it, he was thoroughly messed up. Yorubas will never fight a religious or tribal war, but very deadly in territorial wars. You are exposing and betraying the average Ibo man fear about regionalism and it all about LAGOS. You are afraid that Yorubas can wake up one day and ship you all back to your enclaves, why are you so scared? ![]() |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:47pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
PentiumPro:What has Ojukwu got to do with this? He fought a war of survival and not aggression. How can the people of FCT come out tomorrow saying that they own everything? That is unacceptable. No one is asking for any wars but let me tell you that if any other war breaks out in Nigeria, there will be very fierce battles for the control of Lagos and the FCT. You can call me names or insult me all you want but I know what I am talking about. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by QuotaSystem: 2:48pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:The only bitterness following Buhari's election is the one that has always been in the heart of iPods against him even before the elections. You're all just being sore losers that are too weak to survive in the opposition. You honestly expect the North to give away its political capital because some people are sore losers? I reckon the futile agitation is just a coping mechanism to avoid being rendered totally irrelevant. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:48pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
Emmynet50:That is true but we cannot just hand over Abuja & Lagos like that oo. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:53pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
QuotaSystem:What nonsense are you talking about? The FCT is in the MB and it will go with the MB if Nigeria must split or will the inavder from fouta jallon march down there to capture the city like they are doing to Agatu now? It will not be an easy ride. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by PentiumPro(f): 2:53pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Ojukwu didn't fight any war of survival, he fought an ego trip war with Gowon. He simply found it belittling to come under Gowon. They lied so much about the cause, the course and the outcome of the civil war to you young generation of Ibos. Ojukwu once ranted more than you are doing now, he sacrificed over 3m of your fathers and mothers for it. Just try it again ![]() You apparently don't know what you are talking about, you are only talking about WHAT is playing out in your head. ![]() |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by HurtgenForest(op): 2:56pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
PentiumPro:For goodness sakes how did Ojukwu fight a war because of ego? Are you not aware of the pogroms that took place in the north and how easterners were being killed for what they knew nothing about? Ojukwu did not sacrifice our people, they were killed by Nigerians and for your info, the bulk of our people that died during that war was from starvation which eventually led to the end of the war. Nigeria suffered heavier military casualties confronting a Biafran side whose standard riffle was the bolt action. We were better on the battle field. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Goke7: 2:58pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:This is why regionalism may never work bruv, you can't eat your cake and have it. its either you want true federalism and regionalism or not. I like your arguments, you are looking into the future and seeing the disadvantages already, we complain about injustice and unfairness about the current system of Govt but I tell you there will be more agitations should Nigeria go into regionalism and true federalism. Our main problem in Nigeria is accountability and responsibility, not the system of governance. China does not practice democracy yet they are so advanced, why? there is nothing like regionalism or federalism in the UK, UAE, and most European countries yet things are working there, why? its all about Responsibility and accountabilty |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by PentiumPro(f): 3:00pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Load of crap. Go and learn more about the Aburi accord and the resolutions. It was a war that was clearly could have been prevented if Ojukwu was not on ego trip with Gowon. Both were army officers that suffered juvenile delinquencies and human beings were sacrificed to massage their egos.. |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by QuotaSystem: 3:00pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Dream on. One can't expect to spank a child and expect him not to cry. I've made my point; enjoy the self destructive coping mechanism for your post election stress disorder. Federalism my nubian balls . |

Federalism jor, my state must develop too. |

| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Sirsubway1: 3:06pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
PentiumPro:Everyone can now see the greed in these people. An average Ibo man will rather die in Lagos than return to there erosion republic. You want regionalism yet crying over Lagos. Why should my people be excluded from there Yoruba kinsmen, is that not madness and greed for these landgrabbers. Smh |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Sirsubway1: 3:09pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
[s] HurtgenForest:[/s] Why are you disgracing your tribe this way? Why will you fight over my fore fathers land and state? Is this not greed and madness join together. You want biafra and still want to fight over Lagos, I hope people can now see these people, that was how they are fighting those in SS as well. We will be waiting for you to come fight over Lagos, your forefathers perished at Ore and they will not even near Ore this time. Shameless people |
| Re: Let Us Have Regionalism With FCT & Former Capitals Under The FG by Sirsubway1: 3:13pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
HurtgenForest:Now I know you have no shame. FG didnt build the seaport, the FG should annex your region too since they built the Niger bridge. You see what greed is doing to your life. This is terrible. |
