Since you have already submitted and appointment booked ( Although there is a way you can still get it changed) all you need is to be confident. #250 k job is a big tie too. people with lesser salaries and still single gets visa daily.

All you need is to sound confident, upfront and positive. You are good to go!

Mum got her visa this morning without any input from an agent. Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread.

Her interview was for 8:30am @ the Lagos Consulate and it went thus:

VO calls for an interpreter, an elderly lady comes in

Lady:Where are u going ma?
Mum:California

Lady:what for?
Mum: Summer, my daughter's husband sent 4 me.

Lady: who's paying?
Mum: My son-in-law

VO smiles and passes white paper 2 her and dat was it.

Mum: Can i have my passport back?
VO and interpreter both laughs and interpreter explains to her dat d visa would be issued on d passport.

BUT while i was filing her DS160, i couldn't upload her passport photograph, so i told her to go with it.

She put a copy in her passport but it was returned to her.

Can her visa be issued without her passport photograph? She's worried now.

I'm not sure they will ask for your statement of account except it's for medical tourism and maybe an exception but most time they do not ask.

Congrats to mum and you.... If you couldn't upload her passport photograph, and it was just one passport you put in there and it was returned you may have to reach them or wait for them to reach out to you. Maybe it's taken already sha. In all, no cause for alarm

They returned the photo because, like the VO said, they don't need it. The photos are scanned and uploaded into our system during the intake process.

A woman was shouting on top of her voice that they must let her go see her daughter who just gave birth that they deny her every time she applies. Well mine was sour aswell. Travel history I guess. Was gonna go for a vacation(first time travel). Good job, single.

Sorry dear. They are actually not mean. They are just carrying out their responsibiliies. They have to set some high standard in granting visa.

You can always try again later when things get better!( borrowed from a VO)

The only thing I fear about VOs from my past experience , they ll make you feel so relaxed that all is going on well with your interview until .......... the I am sorry you are not qualified now statement will show up from no where!

If your transcript is as thorough as your answers were during the interview, then it is no surprise to me that your visa was refused.

You also fail to understand that the interview itself consists of many aspects, only one of which is your responses. There is also:
- How you present yourself
- Your prior applications
- The information you've entered in your current application
- The existence of fraudulent documents in your passport
- Etc.

True, and I panicked too, I guess that put her off. Answered the first question way to fast it looked like I memorized it, also my passport is still fresh.doing a self accesment on myself right now.
But then she would have allowed me calm down, and ask maybe 2 more questions I filled my form myself and know all that is it by heart.

Bottom line anxiety had its way with me.
Will take time to build more confidence b4 reapplying.

First of all I will like to share the transcript of the guy in front of me(I will start from what I met them saying before joining the queue),(window 1 guy, he looks like someone that has an hangover)
