Money controls the market. The big demand guys are forming not interested. Few bids for most stocks. Do not be deceived, go now and cherry pick, then wait! Gradually, you will see growth. Especially for shares that are obviously undervalued. Patience is key! |

donmarshia:I dont expect the BIG boiz to rush into the market... They will have to test the EXIT button of the new Forex Policy first to see that its working well before you see the real Bulls.. So anybody buying now should not be expecting quick returns...Just buy and go to sleep like the farmer does after planting well.... But be sure that once that EXIT button is tested and found to be working....your are sure gonna be a happy bunny! ![]() |

NEM Share Price Gains 40% After AGM…What Could Be The Reason? Nairametrics NEM 5 YEARS PRICE CHART SOURCE: BLOOMBERG NEM 5 YEARS PRICE CHART SOURCE: BLOOMBERG NEM Insurance Plc has in the last one week seen its share price rise by about 42 percent month to date. The share price has risen from 74 kobo as at June 2nd to about 1.15 as at the time of penning this article. In fact, the stock is currently on FULL BID of about 40.49 million units with zero shares on offer. Investors are understandably bewildered about this unprecedented rise for a stock that released its results months ago and only offered dividends of 6 kobo per share or N361 million payout. At N1.15 kobo currently NEM is trading at its 5 year high which in today’s bear market is unprecedented. So what exactly is going on? Whilst no official reason is out there to support the rise in the share price one can only infer that investors must be responding to an outcome of the recently concluded AGM held on the 8th of June 2016, for which we await a publication of the board resolutions passed by the company. The share price of NEM was 82 kobo on the day of the AGM and has risen 40% since then. That’s about the most recent corporate action on NEM we can lay our hands on. The chairman of the company Adewale Teluwo by the way, was also expected to retire at the AGM having served for 10 years, indicative of a new Leadership for the company. At Nairametrics, we are quite pleased with any suggestion of a new direction for NEM Insurance Plc. The company currently trades at a P/E ratio that is 8x its current earnings however we believe its intrinsic value could be somewhere in the region of N2.50 if the revenue potentials of the company are better harnessed. The company has also consistently paid dividends in the last three years with yields often in the double digits. With better quality risk assets and investments, proper rebranding, better financial transparency and improved dividend payouts, NEM Insurance could be poised to takeover a beleaguered Insurance industry that has been struggling to create value for shareholders. Nairametrics will continue to track NEM for any corporate actions that can clearly explain the reason for this increase. http://nairametrics.com/nem-share-price-gains-40-after-agm-what-could-be-the-reason/ |

kenmaro:Hard to say. If SKYE declares a similar result to FCMB's, then expect the price to track that of FCMB too. Similar result in this case means - not a loss but meager profit. It's a gamble. Are you willing to gamble? The choice is yours. OYO ![]() I think FCMB is expensive at N1.7X. However, the stock has strong market makers. They are well able to drive it to their target price. I would prefer Fidelity at N1.3X. Please, I shall not be held accountable for the outcome of any decision you make based on this post. ![]() |

Manonamission:Sir, everything you stated is well understood. Going back to history and taken the present market situation into consideration, Fidelity had never outperformed FCMB in terms of share price. Don't look at the price of fidelity in terms of too cheap, but look at the value it would give when compare to FCMB in long-run. I would choose FCMB ahead of Fidelity any-day, anytime. Remember, fundamental is not enough to make money in NSE ![]() This is just my opinion! |

Farmerforlife:i work with them. you need an initial deposit of 5M to trade with them. their online trading platform is not like Morgan capital and the rest. i have morgan capital as well and i have pulled all my fund out from stanbic. just peanuts remaining there for them and transferred to morgan. its left for you to make your selection. he good thing about Stanbic is that they can sell some kind shares that is hard to dispose off |

teeboy95:I am with Stanbic, I think they are excellent. They usually manage to get my stocks even when it is difficult to buy, or sell when people are not really buying. The big part is you need to have at least 5m cash or share transfer. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Manonamission: 1:46pm On Jun 16, 2016 |
Godisfaithful:Hmm... I expect SKYE to track FCMB not Fidelity. But I think Fidelity has more upside potential considering that FCMB just rallied to its current price and is expected to find a strong support first. Fidelity is yet to rally, besides based on current result, Fidelity is a better buy (or so I think). To buy FCMB at current price dey do my body one kain ![]() |
