A new militant group which goes by the name, Utorogu Liberation Movement has announced its emergence in the Niger Delta region.


The Amanyanabo of Okrika kingdom has a lot of oil wells situated in his kingdom. He has no oil well. But the Sultan of Sokoto has over 10 oil wells in Niger Delta. The Amanyanabo of Bonny in Niger Delta has oil wells in his kingdom, but he has no oil well to his name but The Emir of Kano has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. The Amanyanabo of Kalabari has so many oil wells in his kingdom but has no oil well to his name in his kingdom but the Emir of Gwazo has over 5 oil wells in Niger Delta territories. In Ogonilands there are so many oil wells but none of the kings in Ogonilands have any oil wells but General Danjuma has over 10 oil wells in Ogonilands. The list can go on but Niger Delta people and their kings don't have oil wells . Such a situation, will you say it is fair to the Niger Delta people in Nigeria? Let's restructure and live in unity. The cheating is very bad and not fair. This is the bane of the corruption in Nigeria.


The group's major focus is mainly on gas plants as it has threatened to attack West Africa’s biggest gas plant, Otorogu Gas Plant in Udu and Ughelli South council Areas of Delta State.


Report says the group in a banner message issued by Gen. K. Omovudu and others which was placed near the Motor Park in Out-Jeremi, headquarters of Ughelli South council, also declared support for the Niger Delta Avengers.


ULM also vowed to blow up oil facilities along the Oil Mining Lease 34 and other oil facilities in the upland parts of the Niger Delta.


The banner mission statement read, “My good people of Utorogun community, Otu-Jeremi, Otor-Udu, Iwkrekan, Ekakpamre and all oil and pipeline communities within this region, this is the voice of ULM in collaboration with outgas force.


“It is a secessionist move. The awareness of things happening in our environment is a means to outline our course of action. The awareness is an agitation for economic balance. We have a common enemy, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC and ND Western who hate your progress and wish you die in poverty.”

This is what fg want as their 'change mantra' and they are getting it in full over dose form. I for one, i don't blame them anymore blowing up pipelines becos seeing that the fg does not have plan for the teaming Nigerian poor youth with no known politician, oga at the top and a richman, they will not get government job becos such jobs are meant for the families and friends of politicians while the brilliant poor will learn vocation in ill equiped hall with their families teachers. Go to ikorodu vocation centre you will weep and such centre is where they will send the graduate children of the poor to. actually, people keep suggesting less central power and more emphasis on state power but state governors in Nigeria seem overall incompetent as things stand. Perhaps there should be some sort of stipulation in the constitution that enables anyone elected as president of Nigeria to suggests at least three developmental goals that each governor must archive for his state (enshrined in some way ) in additions to the ones the Governor himself wishes to achieve.
