i was the guy who was rejected visa Last month in Ghana.
Now I have come to Nigeria for Holday to stay with my Uncle(We bear thesame surname, hes my dads brother).
However this my uncle is currently a honourable in OGUN STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

I explained my issue to him that I intend to attend summer but I was rejected around May dis year due to mistake of chosen ancient greek of which has been changed to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS. Also rejected due to my sponsor not showing legal guadianship.

Now my uncle uncontrollably got interested and he told me he would contact OGUN STATE GOVT LIASON OFFICER who stays at Lagos to apply for me...

That was how he started oh, Now he took all my docs and he proved to sponsor me, and attached his BANK STATEMENT(he have same surname), sponsorship letter, our pictures (we snap everytime), My uncles datapage. Also, together with my docs
1.intro letter from my school(Regent Uni ) introducing me nd stating they had a long standing relatioship with Kings college London
2. Support letter from Kings college stating I have enrolled for International bus.
3. A letter of motivation for chosing international business
4. All my schol receipt.
5. School ID
6. A letter stating the reason for my first ever refusal as an innocent mistake that the school misguided me, now have chosen a more relatd course
7.My university Transcript

Apart from these, docs of d British citizen i will stay with in d Uk are included..

I really do not remember your reason of rejection before but i will reckon u let them know you were refused and make sure you show strong connection between u and your uncle . Have u got admission into the school here in london? please try and confirm the school u r coming to in london is a geninue school; cos there are so many bogus schools here in uk extorting foreign students.

More docus,

1 Uncle sponsor letter
2 accommodation plans in uk
3 School fee payment

Cant think of anything right now.... Good luck...

On this issue, they will have your name and details on computer.
We heard from someone this week who was banned for ten years.
Reason was fraud, not declaring previous rejection.

@worry359. Your response to that piece of information was rather too harsh. In my own opinion, $216 for a six months visa is absurd, but we're left with hobson's choice.

You want to eat a meal You pay mama put.
You want to travel to good country You pay their rate for visa.

You want cheap visa go to Syria or Libya. grin

Its crazy how the UK government will be charging $216 and exchange it at black market rate. This is just fantastical exploitation. See US even in the midst of dollar crisis visa fee still remains the same $160/197 (31,520). Though there will be a change in US visa on June 22, but can never be anything close to what the UK is charging.

It's not harsh because Nigerian embassy in London charge any British passport holder the same amount for visa application.

That's how visa fees works, nobody is cheating anybody

Single Entry (within 6 months) Multiple Entry 1 Year
United Kingdom US$144 US$472
This is what Nigeria charges. I don't think they are charged black market rate. the current pounds rate is not the same as what you will pay when submitting your application

Firstly, u can apply from Nigeria as it is your country of nationality. You do not need put a copy of refusal. Just in the additional informational box; explain about your situation and a bit of why you applying from nigeria. Not too wordy but sentences.

Also, include in there in the additional information box how the course you are going for will make u grow (continuity important)...
Most importantly as i mentioned before make sure there is a connection between u and your sponsor... you could see one of the reasons they refused u was evidence of legal guardian.

Dude Nigerian embassy charges every country the same amount their embassies in Nigeria charge Nigerians for the same type of visa, this is the standard system. This is why you never heard embassies complaining about visa fees because it's tit for tat.

In fact Nigerian embassy in London will charge you £20 postal order plus £72 OIS service fee

You don't blame British govt for Nigerian govt monetary policy

@FrontPageLawyer. Thanks a lot. You are Blessed

I have another question: I will be submitting my visa application next month. However, I had a credit deposit of xyz last month being a transfer from my company to my account. This amount is about twice my monthly salary & its actually my leave allowance.
The credit is not reflecting in my payslip since its an allowance but its stated in some part of the letter from my employer that am entitled to xyz amount as leave allowance per anum.
I also have an internal memo from the HR department informing me about the leave.
I am going on a business visit & my company is sponsoring me but based on comments from nairaland, I am concerned about this credit payment.
Will the ECO still require explanation despite my bank statement showing that the fund was transferred from my company to me?

If I still have to provide evidence of this deposit, It is Ok to say I actually needed the money for a specific purpose? Though am currently making some payments for personal use ; hence my final account balance would have shown various purpose the money was spent upon
or do I use the internal memo from the HR department as paper evidence?
I really need to have a strong application cuz of my past refusals from UK, US & Schengen. please help
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 8:44pm On Jun 18, 2016
Make sure he writes a sponsor letter.. it will be nice if u can make him write the letter on a letter headed paper.
pay slip, bank statement, Copy of the sponsors ID or passport...

it will not be a bad idea if he can include employment document....to confirm is salary and Confirming the sponsors ability to sponsor you..

I need a little clarification.what advantage do you get if one submits application in Ikeja and not VI since one needs to pay extra 82$.I would like to know if there is any advantage with submitting in Ikeja Vs Abuja or VI.

Can someone confirm how much they got charged in naira when they paid visa fee?

Thanks.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by diamondsare4eva: 12:57am On Jun 19, 2016
They are both UK consulate, applications in Ikeja is treated in Nigeria, and VI is UK. Ikeja has an extra charge

Hello all - with special shoutouts to Justwise and FrontpageLawyer. I need help abeg. My mum and 10 year old son will be applying for visitor visa this week. They plan on visiting in July, but they won't be staying with me (I'm on tier iv visa). I have motel/hotel reservations for them in three cities across the UK for the two weeks they will stay. My mum will sponsor the trip. Current budget is £2,500 for the two of them. My mom has a letter from me granting her temporary custody of my son - I'm a single mom. She has N5m balance in one of her accounts - busy over the last six months with credits (also debits) from sale of my late father's land, sale of her two buses, payments from clients (she has biz name registration for a catering outfit she runs) and her pension as a civil service retiree (N70,000 monthly) - she retired in 2012. What docs do we need to show proof of funds, please? Also, how do we get tax clearance for the biz? Forgive the ignorance in the last sentence; company law was never my forte. grin

It doesn't matter how many times you've been refused in the past; ensure you disclose all previous refusals whether it's the US or Schengen States. Visa applications are adjudicated based on individual's merits and your new application will be looked at differently and decision will be made on its merit.

The pattern and consistency of in-flow and out-flow of funds recorded in your bank statements is one of the most credible evidences that the UK embassy/consulate rely on to justify giving you a visa or denying you. So, if there are sudden surge of funds in your account, that is not consistent with your average earnings, then you need to explain it to the ECO with paper evidence which you can easily obtain from your company.

Failure to provide a believable explanation will discredit your perceived economic status and this will most likely earn you a refusal, therefore I will advise you to also asterisk especially your monthly salaries and allowance as appeared on your bank statements with remarks i:e ( June salary, overhead cost, allowance).

But like I said, you are qualified for a UK business visa in my own opinion.

Good luck.
