Wish it will be that easy. what if the bank keeps telling u no dollars come tomorrow and they keep supplying the ab-oki-s? We are patiently waiting

Certainly you have not been reading the news. The new FX policy will eradicate Abokis because you can easily get dollars from your respective Banks as long as your transaction is genuine. Except you trade on the banned products, then Abokis may be relevant to you at an expensive.

It will be mostly electronic, not cash. Limitations on card use will be eased. CBN has not brought in USD cash into this country this year. It used to be between 300M to 500M monthly.

Anyone thinking prices will return to 260 or so as proposed by CBN oga is just dreaming....
Coz all our political thieves who have their investments in dollars will not allow this...just watch and see!

The truth of d matter is naira will appreciate against dollars this weekend simply because almost all potential dollar buyers are waiting for Monday. So right now we have few people buying the dollar( u must really need it to buy now) so ab-okis will also want to sell tod very few buyers they see. I willbe surprised to see it still falling by Monday Tuesday. Till friday. I think it is byuooer monday that we will know the true value of naira based on real demand and supply. What's happening now is simply normal

Leave them,Nigerians are very predictable. They will soon rush online to be cursing buhari after 2 weeks . The problem with Nigeria is that Nigerians never ask the right question, the question they should be asking now is where will the dollars be coming from to fund the market

It may get there but with time. There will be a massive infusion of dollars now that the price is market determined. Don't forget that there is $20b idle funds in private dorm accounts.

Only problem is that the budget is expansionary so will lead a weakening of the currency. I doubt the budget will be 40% implemented and the devaluation will skyrocket some of the projects because they were computed at 199

who are those that will infuse their dollars into the Nigerian market?
this is the question we are asking , it seems nigerians dont realise that world economics has gone beyond trial and error . but nigerians are hoping on figures and scenarios they have no concrete proof of it happening

Massive infusion from where? Has your country's economic fundamentals changed? Has your country reduced its foreign exchange spending on petroleum products, school fees, medical tourism, etc? Is your country exporting anything of note to generate the "massive infusion of dollars"?

Pounds dropped more than 508 naira yesterday. On Friday I sent at 508 naira to one pounds but on Saturday it was 450. Monday is pregnant that's why. By Tuesday we will know the true state of things

As I said there is already $20b idle in dorm accounts alone. Portfolio investors, those who invest in stocks and bonds will flood the market. Expect the stockmarket to rise by at least 20% in the next 3 months

bros, the 20billion you are talking about, does it belong to private people or the government Wasn't it there before and yet the owners refused to inject it into the economy? Why should a nation government be making nation economic policies and plans based on ppl private accounts If the owners of this so called 20 billion dollars refuse to sell or inject it ,will cbn force them?

which $20b are we even talking about? 100 Igbo men in ladipo market will buy them all in a week.

They just can't meet our demands.

It was idle because the exchange rate made no sense. Nobody is ready to trade at 197. Even people who collect $100 from Western Union are fuming, Buhari just ruined the economy by pegging the currency

Lol, I can see so many village square analysis here. Anyway, I if for some reason the panic makes it drop to 250 -280. I will buy as much as I can cos as long as the fundamentals remain, we are still coming back to square one which is the 330 - 360 area, expandable to 400.
