That was my only meal in first trimester when morning sickness was dealing with me. I'm sure you can take it, but try not to use potash cus it causes contractions in some women.

Abi o. Na everything pipu dey vex for; u tell dem or nt dem go still find sontin to vex for so Y dnt u jst do u n give them d whole surprise package (baby) news later? Not even for fear of anyone jinxing it bt Y must u announce it if u dnt want to we ttcd for abt 1yr n everybody wanted to start pressuring us na so my dh handle them especially MIL n d rest pipu for en side so dey started praying for us instead whenever they called. When we conceived we decided nt to announce to anyone until baby came nt even my own sisters. It wasn't for d fear of jinx but it's even merrier when u announce d arrival of baby instead IMO bt it was easy for us to do then cos we'r all alone here in Abj, all our families r in Lagos n Abeokuta. I told my immediate older sis n my only friend abt a month to my EDD month n dh prepared MIL's mind by telling her she wld come visit us that month since she had been wanting to come visit since mama wanted to know wch date, dh told her nt to worry dt he'll let her know up until baby arrived, everyone wld still call n pray for God to "answer us on time" we go smile n say Amen ooo. Dey wld give plenty suggestions to try out, we go say we dey do evry evry until d D-day when we announced to evry1 that baby is here o they were all pleasantly shocked we had him in d month of our 2nd anniversary, on our anniversary day dh pointed out to MIL dt "mama, 2day na exactly 2yrs wey we go take am (i.e me) for en papa house o" n she was like really?! she thought it haf rily teyed ni o lol bt I missed out on all d pampering I wld av gotten frm MIL already wch I never failed to voice out whenever I wanted ice cream n meat pie n dh wld say no

There is this particular pepper soup given to women that just put to birth to help flush blood left in their system or so after delivery. Special leaves and spices are used. I think its that type of pepper soup you are may have been told to stay away from. This regular pepper soup you can make at home either with chicken or goat meat with no special spices are good to go

Like Britneystacy said, maybe its those type they prepare specially for mums who just delivered. Its always good to clarify in pregnancy, because the things pregnant women are supposed to stay away from are very many. Happy bumping dear.
