Make sure he writes a sponsor letter.. it will be nice if u can make him write the letter on a letter headed paper.
pay slip, bank statement, Copy of the sponsors ID or passport...

it will not be a bad idea if he can include employment document....to confirm is salary and Confirming the sponsors ability to sponsor you..

@TunderRule,

My uncle wants to attach His INEC certificate, that shows he won his election has a Honourable Ogun House of Assembly, please is that enough as a proof of his employment as a legislator..

Again, pls what can I use to show as a proof of strong connection apart from bearing same surname with him and apart from attaching pictures we have snapped together and some bank alerts of money he sent to me..

Thanks for your time

Ok Inec certificate is great... More also, properties, assets, shares in your name can stand as strong ties...
well i dont think there is more you can show anymore ... just make sure he states int he sponsor letter the connection between you too and he is taking full responsibility of your sponsorship over there.

Good luck and God speed...

I should have done this few days ago but never too late.

I appreciate you guys on this forum, got my first visa just by reading questions and answers on this forum. I made another application some few days ago. Every input looks good but still came here, discover new stuffs also by reading questions and answers. I applied 7 days to when i was scheduled to travel, paid for priority Visa and it was granted 3 days after, collected my passport with the Visa 4 days after. Presently in UK.

Thanks all esp Justwise.

Hello house, i have always been on canada thread.

Am about to build travel history by applying for UK visiting visa, my cousin invited me.

i just heard about Teleperformance and about 216 dollars application fees instead of the usuall 142 dollar.

i heard ikeja centre Gives Visas Generously than V/I, how true are these.

Again what and what should i be careful of? thank you in advance.

I was a bit confused the way you posted.. You need the person to send you contract of rent, ok? Make sure letter from the person accommodating u include dates or period they intend to accommodate u ... try making those dates tally to them u intend to travel back to nigeria. Be Wise!!! bruv and goodluck

1. UK visit visa is $132 not $142
2. The extra $84 is because Ikeja is a pay-to-use centre which you can avoid if you choose V.I.
3. Teleperformance does not issue visa, it is just a customer-facing application processing centre like VFS for onward transfer to the consulate for decision. Therefore, Ikeja centre which is run by them cannot generously give visa because that is the responsibility of the UKBA.
4. It may appear that patrons of Ikeja centre succeed more because they are likely to be more qualified for visa in the first place because of the financial status of most of them
5. Given the sheer number of patrons of VI, it follows that number of failures there must also be more than that of Ikeja and Abuja.

Whichever centre you choose, don't panic. Just be truthful in your application. If you sincerely believe that you deserve being given the visa, the ECO will believe so too.

Bank statement is one of them. Yes get tax clearance and business registration papers if the business is registered.

Your picture with your kid, his birth certificate, proof of accommodation for them in the UK, a copy of your student ID, data page of your passport, letter of consent(if his daddy is involved in his life then he needs to sign the letter as well)...

Thank you, Justwise.

Hi everyone. It's my first time on this thread. Quick question please. Please who has recently submitted an application? What exchange rate did you use for your conversion to pound sterling? Trying to draw up a budget spreadsheet and kinda confused as to what figure to use in order to have a successful application. The black market rate or the official CBN rate?

Good afternoon house, I need your help.
I applied for tier 4 visa 2013 but I was denied{ the money in my bank account was not up to the required amount{maintenance+ balance of my fee}. Now I want to go to the UK for holiday. I have a small business{ building blocks} and I do a little of buying and selling of goods too. My question is, my daddy is ready to sponsor the whole trip. He lives in the UK.
Do I still need to put some money in my bank account since my sponsor is ready to take care of everything ? If yes , like how much.
Is it compulsory I register my block company too. I just started the business last year.

Thanks

Yes you still need to poof that you have strong tie to Nigeria which involves showing that you have business or employment that gives you a good source of income monthly or yearly.

There is nothing like..how much you need to have in your bank account...it will depend on your income and expenditure then the amount available to you after that.

Hi everyone, I have been a follower of this thread and the UK Student thread since 2014 but I have never commented before.

I applied for a 2 years tourist at VI Center to attend my graduation in July. I had only worked for 7 weeks at my place of employment at the time of application so account balance was only 280,000 Naira. Therefore I had to use a "sponsor" in person of my brother. He also didn't have money but we structured my application to early June when salaries would have been paid to us. Long story cut short, both statement of accounts (my brother and I) was barely 600,000 Naira.

I got a letter from my school in UK, my host's Nigerian passport and UK residence permit, lease agreement, payslips, utility bills, letter from my employer and my sponsor. Since I don't have properties, what I used as ties to Nigeria were evidence of payment of my law practice fees and CITN membership fees, I also submitted my law stamp and seal; and I also emphasized that while studying in the UK, I visited Schengen States 7 times (Netherlands, Germany (twice), Italy and Denmark (twice) and Sweden) and I left the UK 3 months before the expiration of my student Visa when I could have waited till last day. Above all, I told them I'll be spending 3 nights in the UK because I have to be at work the following day.

My brother as sponsor said he'll be responsible for flights - which he estimated at £600. My host in his email said he will take care of my accommodation and feeding while I am in UK. I said I will be responsible for entertainment which I pegged at £100 (for just 3 nights). I said my classmates and I will be having graduation dinner in London (I just put my favorite restaurant because the truth is, there is no dinner with classmates) and also said we will hangout at a pub for pre-graduation drinks but no venue has been fixed at the time of applying (no pre-graduation drinks as well. My graduation was January but I deferred till July so I can apply for 2years Visa as my student Visa expired 30 January 2016, so my classmates have had their graduation ceremony in January). But I put all these information to my justify why I will spend £100 in 3 nights in UK when I said I only spend 30,000 per month in Nigeria.

Moral of my story is that, your account balance is really not a determinant to issuance of a Visa, but your ability to demonstrate that you'll return to Nigeria after your visit to UK. If you're able to convince the ECO you'll be back, there's no reason to refuse you as they know Nigerians are worth more than what is reflected in their account - whether or not the money is legit is a discuss on another thread. If you follow the advice of the gurus on this thread, you will be fine. Please don't transfer money or make cash deposits to your account for the purposes of boosting your account balance, it's a red flag!!!!

I will post my timeline at the appropriate thread shortly.

Thanks to everyone that has asked for clarifications and to those that have responded. Your questions and answers were helpful to "ghostreaders".

See you at Murtala Mohammed Airport or Heathrow grin

PS: I will definitely stay atleast 2 weeks but less than 3 weeks because I won't travel to the UK again this year so that I don't violate my 180days rule.

Good day house. I have always followed this thread. I want to submit an application for visiting visa soon. I have a concern with my survey plan. The land was issued for my father but I later inherited it from him and I decided to change the name on the survey plan. After the change of name came out, there was a statement written on it ' this plan superceeds plan no XXXX made by me(licensed surveyor) on YYYY due to title change. I hope they will not frown at it or what do I do to play safe. I await your replies. Thanks

Good day to all the wonderful people in the house, your well of knowledge and wisdom will not run dry.

I am submitting my application for 2 years visa in few days time. I wanted to seek your opinion on the tenability of my building and survey plan.

1. The survey plan is the particular one they called backdating. I am yet to do the government survey which is the one acceptable for building approval.

2. My building is almost completed but I just did my building design this May in predation for the approval. I adopted my friends design to build it to the stage it is now.

My question, won't it look as if I am just about to begin the construction when the building is most completed. I have my Deed of Assignment.

Please, your advice will go a long way.

Many thanks.

You have been issued a new official plan in your name.
What are you running in circles panicking about?
That is the correct procedure.
