Some people are just desperate to see Dangote's name mentioned in the list of bad debtors. Sorry, dangote does not default in debt payment so his name cannot be on the list of bad debtors even in banks, let alone amcon (severe) list.

Isn't it an anomaly that 95% of these loans were taken between 31st Dec 2010 (last day of the financial year) and 31st March 2011. Was this a conspiracy?
The loans were not necessarily taken within that period, rather AMCOn bought over the debt from the banks on those dates.

Must you guys mention GEJ ?

It was GEJ who strenghtend and created the new Amcon through national assembly bills to prevent bank collapse due to bad loans. The new Amcon started buying bad loans from banks in 2010.

All these thing happened from 2010 when Gej became Nigeria President.

No wonder he said he made so many Nigerians Billionaire.

How will economy not collapse with all these debts?

BIG LIES,!!!
MOST OF THE DEBTS IN QUESTION OCCURRED PRE2008 BEFORE THE BANK / STOCK MARKET CRASH IN 2008.
GEJ WAS THEN NOT PRESIDENT.

You are correct. I keep wondering how they were even cleared for such loans . So it means majority of those parading themselves as successful businessmen are really living large on borrowed money

Is it that Nigerian businessmen can't run companies without such humongous debts?

You will be surprise to know that most of these so called "Business" Men and women did not borrow to support their businesses, but for their personal interest. Thinking that today will not come and their cronies will always be there to protect or cover them.

There you people go again. These are depositors monies. Which I am sure if you do bank, yours will be part of this money.

Please, stop attaching ethnic sentiment in everything. Poverty does not discriminate religion or tribe. When she come to anyone door post, it will take the Grace of God to push her away.

The loans were acquired by AMCON on that date. These loans were originally owed to banks.

This is a list of delinquent debtors, not a list of debtors.

Dangote services his loans.
