These are the fastest remedies when you find yourself in such position.
If you have your bank's mobile app on ur phone.Quickly transfer the money in ur Account to another account. OR
If use Quickteller app to do the transfer.But you need to have ur ATM card details written somewhere.

This is a lie, the ATM doesn't know you pin, in fact, it doesn't have the capacity to know your pin.
Also your pin is most likely encrypted with a one way encryption algorithm there's no way anyone can know what your pin is unless you tell them. It is virtually impossible for anyone to know the reverse of your pin.

More reason why you should know you Bank Customers care number or follow them on twitter and Facebook and have their App on your Phone.

All these people who perpetrate evil with a smile,na police go catch them.

how true is this? Am hearing dis 4 d 1st time. Do u know any1 who has tried it and worked?

To the best of my knowledge,all banks have customer service numbers of which most of them run 24hrs service.

For Wema bank customers, please kindly give out the ATM and pin to save your life, move to a quiet place, open your Wema mobile suite on your phone and disable your card. Its as simple as that. You can also call purple connect (24/7) to deactivate your card immediately.

If this is true, diamond bank users can block their atm card by using the diamond mobile app.

they sometimes part with their victim's phones .... basically there are withdrawals between the time of being thrown off balance and regaining composure

Please, you guys should practice mobile banking. You can deactivate your ATM or change your password with the application in you phone.

On the contrary, your card can be blocked on a friday evening or anytime during the weekend or the week days, all you need do is call your bank's customer care line, this is usally written at the back of the bank products, like atm cards etc...or simply logon to the internet and search for your banks customer care line, report your card stolen, they will ask a few questions to ascertain if you re the owner of the account, once this is verified, your card will be blocked instantly and no transaction can be carried out on your account using your stolen card....

Thing is how many nigerians actually know dis

Go get a Fren phone, login to your bank's website and deactivate if your phone has been collected. You can also reach your bank through social media . Just explore different channels. Like me, I have Gtbank on my fb ,have their numbers too and email.

omo na to use quiclteller app make invalid transaction so they freeze the account on line making it impossible to redraw vie ATM .. that way no one will be able to use the atm card.. tanks to my android phone..it would take me less than 10min to do so..

Nigerians make things very difficult for themselves. Why would a reasonable person want to go and use an ATM at night to withdraw how much, whereby you get to loose so much.

I can't remember the last time I will want to spend more than a certain amount and hold cash in hand when there is a machine called pos.

If you are not spending much, please have your money well placed in your pocket or bag, if not why not ensure to hangout at secured places were you can use the pos facilities provided.

Your lifestyle is your own problems when you fail to think smart.

Dear gullible brethren, What if your PIN is 1221? What is the reverse?

The crime rate in Lagos is alarming. This is how I was robbed at Allen roundabout, by fake exchange guys. Took my $$ and ran away. Luckily I came with just little.

O boy, you wicked shall oh! Look as you give people false hope one hand and for some, your advise will send them to their early grave, when the Robbers tried the reverse PIN given and found it be fake...they can easily send this individual to his/her early grave, all because of you.

FYI: The ATM machine machine does not know your PIN, it just send everything you enter encrypted via an internal dialup modem or Internet VPN to the remote interbank server.

Only your bank knows your PIN after decrypting the received message and sends a response to either authorize or decline the transaction.

The ATM retains portion of your account number, name and some vital info just to record the transaction, in case that record is needed for some type of investigation.

What if they kidnapped you and hold you hostage until they drain your account?

The bank security personnel are involved in such act.
