I want do the booking asap and hope that all will be well as regards the funding.

The costs for living in Germany increases for the new semester German Embassy will request 8640 EUR per year and 720 EUR per month. You can´t find this Information on Deutsche Bank website, because it is a guideline form the German Embassy.

There is only one study loan I know of and I believe most banks offer it ( I am sure of Wema, Access, and GTB). The school fees Advance loan. Minimum 50k and maximum 3M.

I remember asking GTB years ago. The requirements are less tedious and there is no need for collateral.

Target Market:

Parents/guardians of Royal Kiddies/Purple
Account customers
Permanently employed individuals with or without salaries domiciled with the bank
Self Employed with proven capacity and character to repay.

Features:

Minimum Facility Amount of N50,000.00

Now the problem is how you will convince the bank to use same cash to fund your blocked account instead of paying to the school's account. You can make enquiries from individual banks and try convince them.

Abeg, who in the house has sent mail to Deustche bank by filling their contact form to inquire about account details? Cos I did that to inquire since I sent my forms almost two weeks ago and the reply I got was dat my documents hasnt arrived at their deparment. Even when UPS tracked and gave confirmation that it was delivered and signed for.

Two weeks after sending the account opening form I filled the contact form on DB's site and got the email below the same day:

P.S. I sent my account opening form on the 25th of May and got it today. Hope you find this useful while also laughing at the guy's name that sent me the mails

pls guys, i have actually been on this issue for a couple of days or so.. . can someone, just anyone who can, pls post a list of universities that offer engineering courses in english most preferrably Civil engineering, but if not anything related to it. Building construction/highway engineering and if not anything related engineering atall..most deadlines for winter is july 15 and am yet to begin my application..need your help ASAP,,i will be most grateful.

Errm... Ok, I applied to 3 Universities for Master Program in 2016 Summer . I was admitted to the University of Koblenz-Landau (Environmental Sci). The summer program began on 01.04.16. I had my student visa application interview on 29th Jan, 2016 and I received a mail from the embassy an hour after the interview stating that I should fund my account and send the confirmation to them in order to complete my visa application. The other guy we had the interview same day called me a week after the interview that his documents was posted to him in Kano with a rejection letter (despite say the guy don fund even before interview oh). I became afraid I would also be denied but I didn't get any message from the embassy at all. To spoil it all, I had difficulties funding my blocked account then. As the enrolment deadline drew closer, I decided to send a mail to the embassy in the first week of April (before enrolment deadline @ Koblenz) telling the embassy to withhold my visa application. I explained in the mail that I had written to my prospective university that I would like to re-apply for winter '16 (this winter). I also explained that I want to learn some Deutsch at the Goethe Institut with my free period before winter (which am currently doing). I didn't get any reply from the embassy. I feared that my documents would be posted to me with a rejection letter in the courier envelope I submitted after interview. I kept tracking the self-addressed courier envelope online everyday, yet nothing!‎
Finally, winter applications for Master Program opened and thank GOD I had many certified copies of my credentials so I didn't really need my original documents (wey dey for embassy since January 29th interview date). I began to apply afresh for winter with my certified copies of credentials.‎
Now I have admission letter from that same University of Koblenz-Landau (wey I use do interview), and I also have admission letters from ALU-Freiburg, JLU-Giessen, University of Duisburg-Essen and also awaiting from Uni-Bremen und Trier. I'm presently in a position to fund my blocked account with Form-A.
Now my question is this: ‎
After I successfully fund my blocked account, do I have to book for a fresh interview at the embassy again oder Should I just send the DB blocked account payment confirmation with the new Winter Admission Letter from Uni-Koblenz (since I used the summer admission letter of same University for interview)?
Is there anyone here that has been in this kind of scenario? Pls advise because man no fit sleep oh. Danke schön.‎

You messed up big time when you asked the embassy to hold on with the visa application procedure. you should have sort for pieces of advice here before sending that email, because the embassy doesn't waste time in taking its decision . if you had let them be, I am sure your visa must been approved by now and as soon as you send the DB confirmation and the winter Koblenz admission letter you will probably be asked to submit your insurance after a day or 2.

After you fund your acct attach with the Koblenz admission ( winter) letter and e-mail it to them, then ask for the status of your application. If you are lucky they will continue with it, if not they will ask you to withdraw the visa application n reapply for another interview.

Thanks bro. The reason I sent that message was for the fear that I might get a rejection letter if the summer enrolment deadline passed and I don't produce the DB payment confirmation. I feel they won't still withhold my documents since January up till now if enrolment deadline (April 12th) passed and I kept mute... That's why I took that action. But thanks for ur candid advice. Just called the embassy-Lagos...the person I spoke with assured me that only what is on their website is true. But then, their webpage says €7908.

So, if DB people say embassy should confirm...therein is the disconnect.

Anyway, the only problem now is DB not sending confirmation. I will lodge my 8040 and take it from there.

Lol yea you should focus on your interview. The account details will drop by the time you really need it.

Db charges an amnt frm d db acct for subsequent monthly acct statements after the first free month showing 8040€, so probably what the embassy means is, incase of any delay after d first month, any other subsequent monthly deduction should leave the balance at least €7908

What I am insinuating is that the embassy might be slow in updating these figures but it is the representative of The German Government in Nigeria.

DB has not changed the amount on their form to 8640, the embassy can't confirm the purported increment, and they supposedly work together.

So, I am all for €8040/8090 until the increment is confirmed by the german authority in Nigeria (The Embassy).

Which German embassy? The official link we have as Nigerians to the German foreign ministry (or German government) is the German embassy in NIGERIA.

The final decision is then made by the foreigners office of the city you are headed.

I wish there is a workable alternative to Deutsche Bank. Or is there?

Let me share my personal experience I got with regard to my student visa at the German Embassy.I got my bachelor in 2013, during my interview that took place on the 9 may 2016 ,I told the visa officer that sometimes after my bachelor I got involve into business, why I mentioned that was because I wanted to make him understand that I wasn’t just staying inthe house doing notting at least I kept myself busy.I didn’t give detailed explanation to the consular officer as to why I got involve into business.I did that for 6 months in 2015.....I didn't know that this information I'm giving could make the visa officer think otherwise!!!.After answering series of question from the visa officer I left the embassy confident that I would be given a student visa.
After 3 weeks I received an email from the embassy ,it was a refusal letter.The refusal was on the ground that the German Embassy doubts my intention of studying and my language certificate isn’t reliable (this is the attestation I obtained from the language centre I was enrolled ).I was very shock...I calmed down for 3 days. After which I start preparing to write a remonstration letter (even though people were discouraging me not to write because according to them the embassy will not reply to it ,instead they were advising me to go for german classes and take the ZIDAF exam befor reapplying,for me it didn't make any sense as the master course I'm admitted is taught entirely in English and german proficiency isn't a requirement for enrolment. In 2014 I did English classes to under take the international English language testing system (IELTS) in view to apply for my master course. I wanted to acquaint myself with german language before travelling to Germany, so I went for german classes as well and completed level one.I attached supporting documents to my remonstration letter and went to deposit it at the German embass.6 days later I received a call from the german embassy requesting me to come the following day .After,the call I started thinking on what to say why I got involve into buiness since the embassy thinks I want to use my student visa otherwise. The following day at 7 am I was already at the embassy, I got in and sat in the waiting room.my name was called and I got up and move to the box where heard my name.To my great surprise 3 visa officers where already waiting for me,all were female.let me call them lady1, lady2, lady3.I sat down my blood pressure started to increase.lady2 was beside lady1 with an A4 paper on it were series of questions and photocopies of my course content my heart rate started increasing because i wasnt prepared for an interview,I thought that they will instead discuss with me the reasons for my rejection and what i wrote on my letter of remonstration,lady3 had the remonstration letter and the supporting documents I summitted to the embassy earlier.lady1 asked the first question I answered then lady2 asked I answered then lady1 switch off the microphone and was conversing with her colleagues, after conversation she switched on her microphone and lady3 tick first question on her A4 paper. Same thing happened through out the interview.After bombarding me with series of question they went into my course content,the fact that I was afraid , my heart beating rate increasing and being interviewed by 3 consular officer intimidated me ,confusion started I wasn't coherent when explaining my course content because I wasn't at all prepare for that.Finally last question lady1 asked.....u had your bachelor in 2013 what where you doing that you decided to apply for master studies in 2016.I explained she then asked for evidence and I summitted. I was then ask to go into the waiting room and that they will call me back in 5 minutes,I went as requested and after 10 minutes I was called.I set to myself that these ladies won't change their decision there r still going to refuse me the visa and maintain my rejection.I sat lady1 started saying........ I would be very open to you (just that statement made my heart rate to increase) compared to other master student you were very weak in explaining your course content (I new it was finished with me), she then said however (Just this word "however" made my heart rate to drop) to us at the embassy we say yes to your application (all 3 ladies smile but I wasn't smiling with them at all) but the final say is from the competent authority in Germany and the procedure will take upto 2 months. If you are refused a visa(she spoiled everything again and you decide to reapply master your course content and certain technical aspect before applying....she continues to smile while saying good luck and I wish you the best,lady2 and lady3 were smiling also then lady2 told me....I wish you the best in your master thesis.I responded by saying thank you.while leaving the embassy I was kind of surprised that they didn't discus with me the reasons for my rejection and I too didn't mention that because they didn't ask,I was waiting for them to talk about it before I could say something .since this interview my days and nights have not been the same,I'm always refreshing about this interview and wondering if I will be granted this visa.

Please anybody that has come across such situation or anybody reading should please give me his or her opinion on this matter and if I stand a chance for my visa to be granted. Thank you

I think you will get your visa. Which university are you headed? Find out the contact details (phone number preferably) of the Ausländerbehörde in the city your uni is located. Give them one more week from today and call them about your application. Best of luck

CALL the embassy directly. They are in the best position to advice you

there's is an official date for this increment to take effect in the german Constitution and that date is 01.08.2016. so maybe that's why the embassy hasn't implemented but some other German consulates like India have informed their people. So maybe that's why the embassy is still mute abt it. Same reason db most likely didn't update their form. On the db fb page most of the people talking abt it are Indians. And it makes sense since their German consulate is already implementing it. So I think it's the embassies that will instruct db not otherwise. Abi na db dey give us visa? So it embassy hasn't informed us. Then no p. My opinion

What matters is that you are getting your visa. So cheer up and dont be so twisted and negative as if there is no God in heaven. Relax bro, I am confident you will get your visa. @Biglord Hahahahahahaha you didn't understand me well, I said they didn’t discuss with me the reasons for my earlier rejection. I knew the reasons for my earlier rejection since it was written on the letter they sent to me.on my remonstration letter I discussed the reasons.so when I received a call from them I thought my interview will be based on the reasons of my earlier rejection .to my surprise during the interview they didn't mention anything regarding my earlier rejection. It is true she said yes to my application she went further saying that the final decision is from the competent authority in germany ,she added by saying compare to other master student I was very weak in explaining my course content and that if I'm refused a visa and I decide to reapply I should master my course content before reapplying..only this her statements put me down!!!! I starting thinking that maybe there are just playing games with me, how can you tell someone that for us at the embassy is a yes to your application and u go further by saying compare to other master student u were weak in explaining your course ......bla bla bla!!!!,its only this statement she made at the end that's disturbing me......at the end of the interview the ladies kept on smile at me but me!!!! I was smiling with them at all,if someone was present to just look at my face . You are absolutely right!!!! If it was a rejection they would have rejected again my application on the spot,is only those last statements she made at the end that's disturbing me

You are up-to-date. But then DB should still send confirmation to Nigerians, because even the account opening is submitted through the embassy.

Its confirmed.. Blocked account money increment will take effect from 01-08-2016.
Lets not be too quick to Judge cos according to them, The final decision depends on the German embassy which is responsible for defining the necessary blocked amount. This means our consulate may not increase the required amount.

My concern is this:

Will Deutsche Bank accept the 8090 considering the fact that most countries have started paying the new amount of 8640 (2.78m) ??

Only time will tell. The German dream is getting serious, Thicker and harder.

Dont ever think of calling the Ausländerbehörde yet. just wait for another 6 weeks before you get yourself into a frenzy.

Calling the Ausländerbehörde may worsen the case. Relax, be prayerful and be hopeful.

I really have a plan of studying in TuDresden but have been reading discouraging posts from people who hav'nt been there at all. Which school are you studying in? Which course? If it is tudresden, is their admission difficult?

Let me share my personal experience I got with regard to my student visa at the German Embassy.I got my bachelor in 2013, during my interview that took place on the 9 may 2016 ,I told the visa officer that sometimes after my bachelor I got involve into business, why I mentioned that was because I wanted to make him understand that I wasn’t just staying inthe house doing notting at least I kept myself busy.I didn’t give detailed explanation to the consular officer as to why I got involve into business.I did that for 6 months in 2015.....I didn't know that this information I'm giving could make the visa officer think otherwise!!!.After answering series of question from the visa officer I left the embassy confident that I would be given a student visa.
After 3 weeks I received an email from the embassy ,it was a refusal letter.The refusal was on the ground that the German Embassy doubts my intention of studying and my language certificate isn’t reliable (this is the attestation I obtained from the language centre I was enrolled ).I was very shock...I calmed down for 3 days. After which I start preparing to write a remonstration letter (even though people were discouraging me not to write because according to them the embassy will not reply to it ,instead they were advising me to go for german classes and take the ZIDAF exam befor reapplying,for me it didn't make any sense as the master course I'm admitted is taught entirely in English and german proficiency isn't a requirement for enrolment. In 2014 I did English classes to under take the international English language testing system (IELTS) in view to apply for my master course. I wanted to acquaint myself with german language before travelling to Germany, so I went for german classes as well and completed level one.I attached supporting documents to my remonstration letter and went to deposit it at the German embass.6 days later I received a call from the german embassy requesting me to come the following day .After,the call I started thinking on what to say why I got involve into buiness since the embassy thinks I want to use my student visa otherwise. The following day at 7 am I was already at the embassy, I got in and sat in the waiting room.my name was called and I got up and move to the box where heard my name.To my great surprise 3 visa officers where already waiting for me,all were female.let me call them lady1, lady2, lady3.I sat down my blood pressure started to increase.lady2 was beside lady1 with an A4 paper on it were series of questions and photocopies of my course content my heart rate started increasing because i wasnt prepared for an interview,I thought that they will instead discuss with me the reasons for my rejection and what i wrote on my letter of remonstration,lady3 had the remonstration letter and the supporting documents I summitted to the embassy earlier.lady1 asked the first question I answered then lady2 asked I answered then lady1 switch off the microphone and was conversing with her colleagues, after conversation she switched on her microphone and lady3 tick first question on her A4 paper. Same thing happened through out the interview.After bombarding me with series of question they went into my course content,the fact that I was afraid , my heart beating rate increasing and being interviewed by 3 consular officer intimidated me ,confusion started I wasn't coherent when explaining my course content because I wasn't at all prepare for that.Finally last question lady1 asked.....u had your bachelor in 2013 what where you doing that you decided to apply for master studies in 2016.I explained she then asked for evidence and I summitted. I was then ask to go into the waiting room and that they will call me back in 5 minutes,I went as requested and after 10 minutes I was called.I set to myself that these ladies won't change their decision there r still going to refuse me the visa and maintain my rejection.I sat lady1 started saying........ I would be very open to you (just that statement made my heart rate to increase) compared to other master student you were very weak in explaining your course content (I new it was finished with me), she then said however (Just this word "however" made my heart rate to drop) to us at the embassy we say yes to your application (all 3 ladies smile but I wasn't smiling with them at all) but the final say is from the competent authority in Germany and the procedure will take upto 2 months. If you are refused a visa(she spoiled everything again and you decide to reapply master your course content and certain technical aspect before applying....she continues to smile while saying good luck and I wish you the best,lady2 and lady3 were smiling also then lady2 told me....I wish you the best in your master thesis.I responded by saying thank you.while leaving the embassy I was kind of surprised that they didn't discus with me the reasons for my rejection and I too didn't mention that because they didn't ask,I was waiting for them to talk about it before I could say something .since this interview my days and nights have not been the same,I'm always refreshing about this interview and wondering if I will be granted this visa.

Please anybody that has come across such situation or anybody reading should please give me his or her opinion on this matter and if I stand a chance for my visa to be granted. Thank you

You were probably not coherent enough in your first interview to convince them, that's why the decision to reject you was made at the embassy. They pick out words and all must follow. Also, you must have a full knowledge of what your Courses are about at the back of your hands.
Now that you have gone past them, as they have assured you, just relax and wait for the foreigners' office decision.

You do not know what is called identity theft and several other online dangers abi ? Prevention is better, cheaper and safer than cure

@Biglord Hahahahahahaha you didn't understand me well, I said they didn’t discuss with me the reasons for my earlier rejection. I knew the reasons for my earlier rejection since it was written on the letter they sent to me.on my remonstration letter I discussed the reasons.so when I received a call from them I thought my interview will be based on the reasons of my earlier rejection .to my surprise during the interview they didn't mention anything regarding my earlier rejection. It is true she said yes to my application she went further saying that the final decision is from the competent authority in germany ,she added by saying compare to other master student I was very weak in explaining my course content and that if I'm refused a visa and I decide to reapply I should master my course content before reapplying..only this her statements put me down!!!! I starting thinking that maybe there are just playing games with me, how can you tell someone that for us at the embassy is a yes to your application and u go further by saying compare to other master student u were weak in explaining your course ......bla bla bla!!!!,its only this statement she made at the end that's disturbing me......at the end of the interview the ladies kept on smile at me but me!!!! I was smiling with them at all,if someone was present to just look at my face . You are absolutely right!!!! If it was a rejection they would have rejected again my application on the spot,is only those last statements she made at the end that's disturbing me
