Back...and moving on! ....Air Traffic Control.... you fly to different countries...different languages...different accents..... what if the ATC has a very strong ehmmmm..... Warri accent.... how do you manage?
English is the language used internationally for all things aviation.

So far, the worst English accents are from South East Asia. Sometimes we barely hear what they say so we have to do several read backs before we finally get what they are saying. It's really really bad sometimes.

There are others who talk as though they have hot yams in their mouth. So we have developed very strong listening skills.

Cool video about US (Delta airlines) female pilots inspiring girls to tow their path.

Women comprise 7% of US pilots, and 15% of engineers in the US.

exactly wat I was thinking
Lol a plane is cheaper to operate, small cessnas are used for sight seeing so it doesnt get too expensive, and i am a fixed wing pilot,i would not be self sponsoring anything in aviation again.

Good afternoon everyone. Looking for an aviation school to learn to become a Pilot ,Aeronautical engineer? Check out KEILIR AVIATION ACADEMY , located in ICELAND. I'm a Nigerian and I'll be travelling this August to study. It's really an amazing school. Course duration (2years)
2 years to become a pilot? That's too long even if you're doing EASA

yes but with a Helicopter you can land almost anywhere and fly around really slowly so the passengers can actually "see the sights"

What does it mean when ATC said "resume own navigation"?

that's means continue your intending course heading b4 as planned. When there's is an incoming traffic ATC can ask you to deviate and later resume flight path... Hope I got this right @boeing 777 pilot

Hi Fellow Aviators in the house. Gratitude to Boeing777pilot and Olisa4all for this thread, big ups to you guys y'all are what I aspire to be!

I have always wanted to be a pilot since I started secondary school and when I finished I wanted to start my pilot training but unfortunately I missed the admission for 2015, then my Dad's friend adviced me to do the Flight Dispatch course in the Nigerian College of Aviation in Zaria and so I bought the form and I passed the exam. While doing the course, I also wrote and passed the SP-31 entrance exam (it was no mean feat at all). The dispatch course ended in November last year and I'm currently doing the flying course and fortunately/unfortunately it's been integrated with the ATPL so when I graduate I get a CPL,PPL NR,I&MER and then a frozen ATPL. My question is what's the advantage of doing an integrated course like this and does it really make you better than the average Pilot that just graduated with just PPL and CPL. Thank You!!

Advantage is that it saves you time
Not really, it's doesn't make you better than those who took the modular route and when it comes to recruitment, each airline has their own preference.

Personally, I went for the modular route.

Kudos to you sha. Your brain dey hot. grin
