Moukafoam: Not everyone has to be a pilot, one of the aviation professionals I respect the most is ATC(Air Traffic Control) those guys&girls are on a different level, without them, there'll be incidents every second! They literally tell Pilots what to do During my training, there were some airports student pilots dreaded flying solo to cos of how harsh ATC at those airports can be and there were airports we loved going to cos ATC is always nice 8 Likes |

To my aviators in the house from Nigeria, i am just wondering what the fixed wing sector is like in Nigeria, are there single engine commercial operations in Nigeria at the moment? My dream would have been to buy a cessna and do sight seeing tours in nigeria. The airline operation gets a little monotonous after sometime flying the same routes etc,and in canada icing and deicing operations, and flying north can make one weary..lol 1 Like |

Originalsly: Yup, you wouldn't notice it because you are seated comfy in the cabin but if you see an aircraft landing in real life you will have an idea. Thrust reversers, not full reverse 1 Like |

Now let's quickly get a divert mindsets from piloting to flight dispatch, I got my i-20 from IFOD in Dallas and after getting my visa would pay my fees for training/course in Flight Dispatch, from reviews they might easily get me a job afterwards. Now this is my question, would u advise if I can find my way to stay in the U.S and work with my license when am through or come back home to Nigeria and work as well, which would you do? And afterwards do I need to do anymore exam or clearance to work in Nigerian airports as well? I would love to work in Nigeria though but I want a very lucrative airline that can support sponsoring me going for piloting training.. what do you suggest? 4 Likes |

Oga Boeing777 Pilot please advice your clients to try out FSX, Xplane etc ....questions like how do you slow an aircraft down will reduce I grew up in an airport area in Warri, seeing a lot of Twin Otter jets then landing and taking off was like a mystery to me lols Get FSX,...digest the manuals that comes with it and your entire orientation will change about aviation. It is safer to make mistake in FSX than to go up there only for you to discover that you left the engine behind ( HTT ) 3 Likes |

balash: Bros, you said we should divert from piloting to flight and then you went piloting again, lol I dont know much about flight dispatch...As for "a very lucrative airline" that can sponsor, I dont think we have those anymore in Nigeria considering the current economic situation we find ourselves in 1 Like |

I was thinking about it would be nice if olisa4all, mosquitoway and my humble self do a post " A day in the life of a pilot" to give you all a first hand insight into how our typical flying day looks like and tell you somethings you probably never knew about. But that would be when we have our own aviation section. There is some much to tell you about us and one of my favorite part is our relationship with our ATC guys and our captains. 5 Likes |

Good afternoon everyone. Looking for an aviation school to learn to become a Pilot ,Aeronautical engineer? Check out KEILIR AVIATION ACADEMY , located in ICELAND. I'm a Nigerian and I'll be travelling this August to study. It's really an amazing school. Course duration (2years) |
