Hello everyone.. This is an emergency situation...!!

I have just got my visa to study MA in English with a graduate assistance at a University in US, but I have a hurdle to scale. I started my application last year in the final semester of my degree program so I am a fresh graduate from National Open University and the final result is yet to be posted I am yet to collect my certificate; though I'm on borderline first class.

From the look of things, It seems I may not be able to get my certificate before the due date for my resumption to my graduate studies which is first week in August. And the process for getting my notification of result before the certificate is ready is taking forever. This is an SOS call to all the gurus in the house, I'm soliciting your advice.

1. Please is there anyone here who has collected a notification of degree result from National Open University before the certificate is issued?

Purdue is a very strong engineering school as is evident from its high ranking ( check attached image. Hope it is clear). Collectively, purdue's engineering programs rank in the top 10 in the states. As a result, the prospects after graduation are great.

Guys please help me out, i'm a bit confused. I got admitted to TROY UNIVERSITY. I wrote the SAT twice which I passed and my I-20 shows "student is proficient" on the English proficiency notes. Would I still have to do TOEFL?

Check if your i20 states NOT proficient or proficient , and yes it is mandatory for unconditional admission

I am not saying he can't get admission without toefl or ielts with Troy but the kind of admission will be conditional admission. Is that a real admission

If Troy granted student admission without toefl or ielts, do you know the outcome and what the person will do when he gets to Troy?

The person will start English class and waste his/her money worth over $5000 for English class that (s)he will use just less than $250 to wrote toefl or ielts..

The last Troy i20 I saw few weeks or a month again that Troy gave admission to the person without toefl or ielts but even with low SAT score, it was written on the remarks there that student not English proficient which means the student will start English class before starting his/her dream course and also stated on the I20 that the student will do English courses before starting business administration.

Sir, if you are the applicant, kindly please go and write toefl or ielts so that you won't waste that kind of amount for a semester when you get to Troy, also check the remarks on your i20 as well..

With what you posted it say no exemption for ielts or toefl meaning they can't exempt the test as requirement.. The admission given to you is the analysis of what I stated above..

Lemme assume VO ask such applicant what course will you do when you get to school and he started saying CS111- Introduction computer, CS113- introduction to programme while on the i20 is stated student not English proficient that is (s)he will start English classes, don't you think that is automatic visa delay

If it states Student is proficient then it might be ok but you need to call the admission office and confirm it directly to be sure . Ask them if you would be required to take English classes or not and confirm that it is an unconditional offer , confirm that you will start your main classes immediately .

If the website states its mandatory then was your I20 written in error ? or was it overlooked based on your SAT scores not when you get there they state otherwise.

Best to call , That way there is clarity on your admission directly from the admission team at Troy.

Part 1: I have been seeing people talking about transcript, like send your transcript to Wes for evaluation and so so so. My question is this, transcript of undergraduate should be 8 semesters (4 sessions) but mine is 6 semesters (3 sessions) because i gained admission through direct entry. If i want to send my transcript, do i send just the 6 semesters or should i request for my OND transcript and send it along too?

Part 2: I have read a lot of transcript here, kudos to those that shared their transcript. The question 'who is sponsoring you' is what my question is all about. All the sponsors i have been seeing here is, my Dad, mum, uncle, brother or sister. It is my sister husband that want to sponsor me. Do i call him my uncle or just the truth that he is my brother-in-law? CC; Walspring, aadeyi, gunther6, don4eye, profojah2, mevisbleek, slimmy2005, dickoflife, msnas, lagosismyhome, ojah, imperiouxx, and others.

you have to forward both your ND transcript and your degree transcript to WES for evaluation if not your evaluation will be in conclusive.

Intending immigrant dream

Violating the f1 visa rules and to return back to school won't be easy as your aunt told you unless you wanted to marry citizen in order for you sin to be forgiven.

Since it was stated proficient then You won't write toefl if only your essay section on SAT meets the requirement and is above 500 or the school requirement.

Just call the school and get full details on that. You either talk to Mr Peter or Mrs Stephanie on this
