Mizzzbeee: clips WD HV been perfect for Durant. but i doubt they have the cap-space to accommodate him. Going there, would have maintained his legacy & reputation. |

nairamaniac: I'm telling you. Its just like the 72win chicago bulls getting david robinson or the magic johnson 80's lakers getting larry bird, you know that a deadly squad. Never before as a team good as the warriors added a nice prolific shooter like K.D. One of the best players this previous season and also one of the greatest scorer in history. He never joined just any team too, he joined a team that avg 115pts per game. Seeing all this makes me think. Compare K.D shot chart to Barnes own this past season too. The diff is way toooo clear. Wow the warriors startin 5 is really the biggest problem the NBA has ever had

lolawilliams: same way I don't blame the wealthy honey man for having enuf money to afford the prostitute, but blame the prostitute for bending over, is same as I don't blame GSW for being able accommodate Durant, Durant to be accommodated all for the sake of rings at the expense of his legacy & greatness. |

Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 12:53am On Jul 10, 2016 |
nairamaniac: I am assuming you didn't watch the Lakers and Celtics of the 80s in real time, yet you still find it convenient to toss up conjectures about them as if you graced the very courts they walked on. I am sure you can count how many HOFers ended up being on both teams to aid Bird and Magic in winning the titles that they won. So in what part of watching basketball not to see the stats did you not see that without both solid teams, there wouldn't have been rings for both players? I mean it is this sort of illogic that is off putting on NL as a whole. And what is this puppycock about Jordan's influence and the other dud points you were spewing? Parish, Ainge, Kareem, Worthy etc. Didn't improve by virtue of Bird and Magic respectively? Did it stop them from being good players? And the whole drivel about space jam what was that for? Stop sharing knowledge that is Wikipedia away and convoluting the one's whose knowledge would have made you less ignorant. Free of charge this is what Wikipedia had to say about Horace: He immediately became the Bulls' main rebounder, and established himself as the Bulls' third scoring option after Michael Jordan and Pippen, forming one of the league's best trios. Grant was noted for his defensive play; he was selected four times for the NBA All-Defensive Team.[1] He helped Chicago win three consecutive NBA championships (1991, 1992, and 1993), securing the third with a last-second block So we better ask you what part of the TV you were watching all those days when you couldn't see that Horace was their main rebounder, solid defender and 3rd scoring option until he left. 2 of those roles became the areas Rodman was needed to help fill, and you think you can wantonly infuse ad baculums to browbeat me into accepting your base reasoning? Step aside. And your nice rhetoric about Aminu Kano would've worked if Nigeria was that much of a basketballing nation like say Australia or Croatia. I am assuming in your own myopic world, the best Uruguayan footballer in 2016 could very well be a scrub seeing that the best footballer in Tahiti fixes cars as his main job? And you want to bring things down to what you saw and witnessed? We can almost conclude you didn't see or witness anything and it gives credence to the fact that apart from the game play itself, the stats and the interpretations of them still fly over you like airplanes. |

nairamaniac: The issue is, you make too many points to yourself that you end up confusing yourself further. 1. So which of the main starters for this GSW team wasn't drafted by the team? How is that similar to poaching Kobe from Charlotte in a bid to assembling a team that would also constitute of "great shooters" like Fischer and Horry as well as a beast in Shaq? Again I repeat, why didn't Kobe stay in Charlotte to validate your piffle on Strength of character and la di da? And when Kobe had scrubs around him in 06, 07 how many finals did he play or rings did he win? 2. LOL @ validate KDs need for help. You mean like Jordan of 83-90 who didn't win jack in 8 years? Ok so 9 years of trying and failing is not enough time for a player to seek a new challenge because some blabbermouth in Nigeria disagrees with him? Good going. 3. Ok, top 10 teams like Cavs were in 08 and 09? The same ones that didn't get to the finals after 66 and 61 wins? Wow, you should really stop pretending you watch the games beyond stats and maybe you may learn a thing or 2. 4. If you are that much of a player the way you so unsolicitedly divulge such worthless information, I think you may be shaming your good coaches with the red herrings and illogic you keep trying to force down my throat. And what is worse is, the way you keep besmirching stats, is the same way they keep disgracing you when it matters by making you spew more and more Inanities in the name of forming basketball aficionado. 5. Let me show you how silly you sound about Mou with the stats. Barca in 08 lost 7 games in all competitions to teams not coached by Mou. Yet Mou taught teams how to beat Barca. Then, Mou played Barca 4 times in 09/10 lost twice, drew once and won once, yet he proved how to beat Barca. LOL. Then he came to Madrid, and in his first season played Barca 5 times. Lost 2 times (5-0 and 2-0), Drew twice and won once, but then again, he exposed how to beat Barca. I can go on and on showing you how he kept losing to Barca, but you, the paragon of watching games, has shown us in your deluded world, how he was teaching coaches how to beat them. Why am I even wasting my time? |

@ eruditor I wdnt go back and forth with you. The bases of allllll these our plenty talk is about "Durant's move from OKC to Golden State". No one is saying he can't move to wherever he wants to. on the other hand, no one says Golden state should acquire him if they can. What we are saying is that "no other use great player of Durant's standard had ever bend this low for Ring(s). You trying to exonerate the situation by bringing up Lebron, Kobe, and other players that either jumped ships for rings or demanded to. No great player of Durant's calibre has ever bent this low, especially at a timing their team were in an ascending trend. From most of my posts, I'm sure everyone here knows iv never measured greatness by ring(s). I love Durant almost as much as I love Lebron. he's been almost everyones Top3 player for past 5years. Which is really great. Just 2 weeks ago in one of my post, before we eve. imagined he WD move to GSW, I said " I wdnt imagine want Durant retiring without a ring". I guess I should have added "but not bending so low to the extent of denigrating his legacy", He would win ring(s) in GSW. but dont tell us that ring in GSW would be half as valuable to if he had done it in OKC, Which didn't appear farfetched as at Two weeks ago. Some of us criticizing his decision may be doing this due to envy or fear of Warriors. but not me. I'm criticizing it, due to how it was would subdue his legacy as regards his impending ring(s). Don't know bout you, but some of us as fans still value and Admire the beauty in Rivalries within great players ahead of ganging up for helps with your very Co-Rival in order to win rings. neither of bird nor magic do it. neither of Jordan&Isaiah do it. neither of Lebron & wade do it(cos wade wasn't a top 3 player as at when Lebron decamped to Miami). Don't get me wrong, every players career is peculiar in his own way. its just sad that Durant's legacy may be forever be questionable irrespective of ring(s) in Warriors. |

I support that move of KD going to GSW to increase his chance of getting a ring, fcukk what charles barkley and all the others are saying If U don't want to be successful in life then just stop Living, its that simple! N!@s getting emotional just because an athlete wants to better him self in every areas! N!!ga are U him? Do you even pay a cent to his salary or trained him at the gym? U think because U sit on your couch or go to the arenas to watch live, that gives you every right to judge and control a players life, n!!ga please These same n!@s were moaning about Lebron move to south beach, yet look at him now, no one can say sh!!t to him Every professional athlete in sports main aim is to win laurels and if they had the opportunity to get that chance, they will take it, that's what sport is, its a competition, you either a winner or a loser, If U call KD a garden tool for moving to a better club or a job that pays more, then U should just suck some platinum size d!!ck ! There! 1 Like |

SIRcumalot: that's true. but some guys seem to be missing my point. I'm not wishing Durant any sort of failure in golden states. I'm just feeling sorry for his rep and legacy in the eyes of those(me inclusive) who still see the game from the STREET perspective. Forget the influence of social media, the glamour and all sorts that have put so much artificial and commercial value to that thing called "ring" or "champion". There are more beautiful stories in the history of the game that had nothing to do with rings. Take it or leave it, basketball like rap were formed on the streets. no matter how many Grammies jay-z or lil Wayne may win. They would always play second fiddles to the rakims and nas when they are all traced back to their roots, where it all started. let me stop at that be4 I derail the thread. I don't expect everyone to agree with me though. when u have a passion for something you would find yourself unconsciously being interested in its roots, history and originality. Not all those stats, scores and wikipedia bullshit you see everywhere these days. it kind of hurts me for KD. I wanted him to win titles even ahead of Lebron, who is my favourite. By this, he has lost STREET-CREDIBILITY to an extent that cannot be compared to Lebron's move to Miami. 2 Likes |

nairamaniac: Pure bs. If you consider going to the warriors a stain of his legacy, how would going to a team with CP3, Deandre Jordan, Blake Griffin, Crawford any different? I bet if he chose the Clips, you people would still rants abt it. That's just how the world is. Lebron has been about making calculated starting from "THE DECISION". It's bn said that Westbrook will be leaving next year. Durant might not be willing to start all over at his age and among the teams he could go, he prefers the Warrior playing style. Why is this so difficult for some people to grab? Yes the warriors has Curry, klay....pls who among the teams who made pitch for him doesn't aside from celtic? Clippers: CP, griffin, D.J Spurs: Aldridge, Kawhi and the 3 wise men OKC: Foolishly traded Ibaka, a westbrook that's likely a gonner next year and him. I bet he's not interested in going tru rebuilding for now. Anyone that thinks Lebron is now more saint than durant knows nothing about .....imo. 3 Likes |

It's just double standard and the selfishness of man. Which NBA player wouldn't go to the Warriors if they had a chance?? It's just nice to see you and others are truthful about his move.. lolawilliams: hanx dear. The ring would outrightly be ceremonial. The situation would never be as valuable as it would HV, if he had done it with OKC. which I totally believe they were close to doing with one or two added pieces. If you remember, I stood for Durant winning a ring in His carrier. To be honest, if durant had stayed and come out of the west ahead of GSW, I would have supported Durant to get his ring in OKC. I wonder y my opinion would cause problems. I wonder for cavs with those players. I don't see the mike dunleavy as such a special player. I wish delly had stayed though. he marks U can't write out the cavs future-plans yet. Maybe they are looking forward to trades rather than free agents. There may be trades. |

SmooshCHN: He should have gone to another team tbh you & I know that, a team beat you so bad you hop on their train real quick....zero competitiveness from Durant. Nonetheless dude wants a ring so bad, age is on his side also so let's just enjoy the NBA and get ready for scores like 89-160 |

Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 1:43pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
nairamaniac:LeBron did the same. Stop the double standard cos you don't call Lebron's rings at Miami ceremonial and always put it here in our faces as his battle loots. OKC wouldn't beat GSW or Cavs in a 7 game series as they traded Ibaka even if Durant had stayed. Please stop the "respect or legacy Búllshit" and double standard. 1 Like |

Bobbieydeey:But Cavs would've bought Wade if they had the money to do it and it would be OK right?? The dude wants rings just like when LeBron wanted rings and took a Pay cut to team up with Wade and Bosh. Double standard and Nigerians are 1 and 1. |
Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 1:49pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
nairamaniac:Warriors fans won't see your point it isn't in their interest too. Bron and KD move is the same thing different circumstances but ultimately the same reason and goal. Durant will be fine same as bron was. A lot of why fans are in uproar(aside form OKC people) about this move is the lack of competition perceived. Which won't be so. A few final MVPs another regular season MVP and we'll all be on his nuts again. Not that I don't get what you're saying a,ship is a ship but ask any true basketball fan what their favourite champion title run is as a neutral in the last 10yrs and they will point to the mavs 2011. The rings Is the cause always the rings I fear for Chris Paul. |
