Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Intendy: 6:06pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
bro DUNKA,all the aforementioned stocks are good except for one or two and you omitted to put #20000 in from of dangote sugar. reclassifying the stocks by sector oil and gas =25% app. food, beverage and consumer goods =39.9% financial =27.1% app building material/construction =8% its a good mixture like I earlier said but your age and risk appetite determines a lot. You'll have to drop some under performer which will likely drag back the portfolio. but some stocks in some sectors are OK. just my two cents for now |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by DUNKA(m): 6:12pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
Intendy:Thanks a million can you Kindly mention the under performers? looking at stocks to hold forever and not JIJO . Stability and dividend are the key factors |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kentoto: 10:57pm On Jul 10, 2016 |
DUNKA: Nice attempt. That's how it starts, but i think the basket will be too heavy for now, Except you will be monitoring it full time, As you said the criteria is dividend yield and longevity of the stock. as someone earlier mentioned sectorial allocation will balance and mitigate concentration risk on the whole portfolio, 1. zenith 2. GT Bank 3. FO Plc 4. Total Plc 5. NB plc 6. Dangote Cement 7. JB PLC 8. Dantoge Sugar 9 NACHO Plc Notice that Dangote Group will end up having the highest allocation, ( another form of Concentration risk). it should be fund how you allocate your capital on them. Off course your due diligence will help you out on the final stocks that make the portfolio. Good luck.. |

kentoto: How many stocks can guarantee good return now? just few.when TB can now guarantee 15% return over a 365 days investment and risk free. one needs to dig deeper. happy week ahead |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 9:01am On Jul 11, 2016 |
Intendy: Intendy, I understand what you mean, playing it safe and stable. But, 15% return in 365 days? Scandalous!!! Then why would one be wasting time and data all year? We just must be lucky and make BIG money this year thro God's Grace, even in the face of all seeming odds. And no apologies to those who don't like hearing this. Lucky week everybody! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Intendy: 9:31am On Jul 11, 2016 |
zendi: get your drift but depends on everyone's risk tolerance. true yield is 17% and an upward payment ,its good for Heavy money bags. Some fund managers will just go put money in TB and bring the proceed to stock market since you are paid from onset. some stocks will beat that 17% true yield but most wouldn't. 1 Like |

kentoto: yes its earnings season. most q2 results don't come till August. Flourmill & Ucap shud release in July. Afriprud early August, others later in August its a long time, much patience needed |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nio68(m): 10:15am On Jul 11, 2016 |
Intendy:In the current climate your 15% return in 365 days may be wiped out by inflation. Stocks would most likely adjust with inflation 3 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 10:38am On Jul 11, 2016 |
Intendy: Quite understood my brother. Some people and institutions are so big their own focus is to preserve what they already have. Some stocks, infact many, may even go 15% or more down in 365 days. I was partly only teasing, but seriously wishing us well, you know, the jackpots . |
