@loannes, thanks for the compliments. As much as I agree with a part of your post, I feel friendships are important (true friendships though).No man is an island. We can do much more together than we can do apart.

Yeah, I know and you're probably right, But my own life experiences have made me cautious of friends.

I'd rather have an enemy who tells me to my face that he's going to hurt me than have a friend who smiles with me yet is saddened by my progress in life.

Instead of friends I prefer to have acquaintances. People I know and like generally. That way, whatever they do won't surprise me, because I wasn't expecting anything from them anyway.

But then, it's my own life choice anyway. Not saying anybody should do that.
