EX FLYING EAGLES FORWARD HITS BRACE FOR GERMAN SIDE

Former Nigeria U-20 forward Suleiman Abdullahi showed his new employers Eintracht Braunschweig his abilities by scoring twice on his for the German side in a six goals thriller which ended in a 3-3 draw against Danish side OB Odense in a pre season game.

19 year old Abdullahi who has so far scored 13 professional goals since moving to Europe in 2015 where he starred in Norway for Viking picked up from where he left off in Norway with two well taken goals.

Abdullahi who joined the team from the Norwegian side late last month drew his new team level in the 37 minutes to bring scores to 1-1 before striking again in the 57 minutes to put them 2-1 ahead.

The game ended in a 3-3 draw as both team step up their preparations for the start of their various league and cup assignments.

Already Abdullahi has outlined his ambitions for the season in Germany which includes firing second division Eintracht Braunschweig to the German Bundesliga.

OGANA FIRES BRAGA B TO PRE SEASON VICTORY

20 year old Nigerian forward Louis Ogana picked up from where he left off at the end of last season for Braga B by scoring in a 3-1 friendly win over Penafiel.

The game is the first pre season game for the B team of the Portuguese side and ogana who ended last season with 8 goals including one on the last day of the season gave them an early lead before further goals from Inacio and Leandro rounded up the victory.

Ogana joined Braga last summer third division side Ribeirao where he scored 15 times to finish as one of the top scorers in the division and last season while he occasionally trains with the first team, he wasn’t handed a first team debut despite making 29 appearances for the B team.

20 year old Ogana is teammate to former Nigeria U-20 midfielder Chidi Osuchukwu at Sporting Braga and they are both making hay with the B team with Chidi ending last season with 32 appearances to his name.

However unlike Ogana who joined Braga a year ago, Chidi have been at the Portuguese side since 2013 shortly after the U-20 World Youth Championship in Turkey.

That tourney to me was one of the best WYC ever stagged. Nigeria also presented one of our best Flying Eagles team. So unforntunate that a player called Lionell Messi was ever born. We would have won the FIFA U20 that year.

The quality in those matches were jst too much. New Zealand 2015 could nt b compared with it.
Prior to the commencement of that tournament, there were so much talk about Mikel, everyone was eager to watch him and what he could do n he did deliver, his best performance was against Argentina, the final match, what happened in that match is 3 things,1-the referee was against us,2-we didn't play with in and out striker,a top 9 like Martins would have helped us but he was not invited by siasia, though Martins thought he was too big to play in that tournament,he was demanding to be made the captain or something like that. And 3-the magic of Lionel Messi, the nigerian team didn't know he was that too good otherwise they would have been more extra careful against him. But with Messi or no Messi,if had gone with a better striker than Ogbuke,we would have won even with the referee bias officiating. Ogbuke is more of winger and support striker than a top 9

forgiveness:
Do you mean Awoniyi was their top scorer prior to the CAF U17 tournament?

Bro, don't give false information.

Isaac Success and Ibrahim Alhassan were the top joint goal scorers with 5 goals apiece. Isaac Success was already a full member of that same foundation.

Ibrahim Alhassan was the lad benching Kelechi Iheanacho in that team. It was when he left Iheanacho started shining. Although, Kelechi Iheanacho was the top goal scorer in the friendlies, he was still not a starter in that team when Ibrahim Alhassan was there.

It was wen Alhassan left he became a starter in important games.

Such is life. But he came in and gave Nigerians a cause to smile and forgot about Isaac Success.

Awoniyi proved himself for the World to see. He scored 4 goals and assisted 5 times.

Statistics don't lie.
Hahahaha bros no go there o.U no sabi d foundation of that team reach me o.

Isaac Success was one of the late arrivals in that team. He was from BJ Foundation, an academy based in Benin. Elderson Uwa Echiejile was also a product of that team.

Isaac Success was never part of the team from the U15. He joined later after d U17 had already been constituted. He personally made himself available(jst like Osimhen) for team selection. That I think was prio to the double header friendly against Rwanda which was played in Calabar and Kigali. This was still even before the commencement of the qualifiers for CAN U17.

Awoniyi was d team's top 9 before Success came.

When I visited the team's camp early 2012 in the company of the a Benin based radio correspondent, Isaac Success was nt yet a member of the team.

I personally told Awoniyi that he was the Yekini of that team.Success was nt there then!

As for Ibrahim Alhassan aka Muazam, he alongside Wilfred Ndidi and 3 others failed d MRI jst the week of commencement of the CAF U17. so it was Benard Bulbwa that was benching Iheanacho at the 2013 CAF U17 and not Muazam.

Couldn't agree more, I think Iheanacho case had to do with some alergies he developed prior to the tourney because I know he was a starter in their U15 if I remember well. And Isaac Success is just too good, Awoniyi was the main guy before him, when people were saying that he took his chances and was now better than Isaac Success I laughed, if you are in a team and someone comes and displaces you then you do not even deserve a chance. His link play is poor tbh, he is just a superb fox, Chicharito-style player.

Anyways it's pointless arguing about this

We have had some good U20 WYC that produced loads of starts but I agree that that set really produced top quality players. The competition was high and we also could have clinched the title. When Obasi equalized against Argentina, I believed no one would stop us.

It ended in a heart break for us but we left the tourney with our heads held high.

We had a top striker in that team, Isaac Promise. However, he was not up to the task. As much as we blamed the referee for being against us, that harsh tackles were unnecessary and caused us the title.

Argentina posed no real threat to us ad we were in control of that game. I feel it was selection of defenders that let us down. Those defenders caused us and I wonder why Coach Siasia did not caution them after the first tackle on Aguero beats me.

The second tackle on Aguero was even worse than the first with no threat at all.

At times, I wonder if those defenders sold us out. I have watched the replay over and over again and I can not tell why those defenders were so careless. Another mystery in Nigerian football we can never understand.

One careless tackle is understandable. But, two. Baffling. Not the referee's fault at all. The blames lie squarely on the defenders.

Nigeria has frightening talent within the age-group 18-23... This is why Siasia's team is so disappointing...

Ovie Ejaria is another world class prospect. Nigeria should quickly tap him before England start taking too much notice. Entice him with a super eagles call-up like Iwobi...

[b]Man City Whizkid Tosin Adarabioyo Turns Down Chance To Play For Nigeria

Manchester City starlet Tosin Adarabioyo remains committed to England ahead of Nigeria at international level, having recently snubbed overtures from representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Born in England 18 years ago to Nigerian parents, the central defender has caps for England U16, U17, U18 and U19 teams but can still switch allegiance to the Super Eagles since he has not played competitively for the Three Lions.

Adarabioyo is one of the hottest prospects in English football at the moment and made his competitive debut for the Citizens last term, and was awarded the man-of-the-match by City after his imperious display in that game against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

“We have approached Tosin several times to play for Nigeria but I think he is very committed to his England experience now, ” says Team Nigeria UK chief David Doherty to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“However we are hopeful we will get a positive response from him soon as we are monitoring every progress of him.”

Tosin’s elder brother, Fisayo Adarabioyo, was called up for a training camp by Nigeria U23s coach Samson Siasia in December 2014, but the striker rejected his invitation.

Wish Tosin the best in his career. We can turn our mind to others that want to play for us.

The NFF should ensure that Otigba gets a call up.

Nothing wey person no hear abt players like Godwill Ekpolo and the other guy from Tottenham(forgotten his name).Modified: Nathan Oduwa.

News of Ola Aino snubbing Nigeria also came up over the weekend and I am not moved.

We cannot beg foreign groomed players to play for Nigeria when we have the most succesful youths system in the world. If we can well manage the huge talents we turn out from our U17 system every 2yrs we should be among the top 10 footballing nations in the world.

Is that Adarabioye better than the likes of Iwobi, Iheanacho, Success, Yahaya, Nwakali, Osimhen,Awoniyi, Chukwueze, Sadiq and d likes of them?

Best of Luck to him.

But people wey no pass Jamb for Nigeria dey get admission. The Siasia Olympic Jamb mark for instance is very low because i see people that have no business going to the Olympics in his team.

NFF should just keep tabs with Ovie so that his head does not get turned by England. He looks like a real prospect. Remember, England was trying to turn Iwobi even at the last seconds.

He can be tried out in Amuneke U20 team. I am sure Amuneke is aware of the kid.

Bros, if Tosin Adarabioyo is groomed by Guardiola and succeeds in his team, forget it...we would have missed a big talent. Talent is talent, but coaching is much better than talent a lot of times.

And those names you dey mention sef, Tosin does not play in their positions na...so there is no basis for comparison. If Tosin goes ahead to dominate with Guardiola as a solid Centerback, it is our loss.

It is one thing to beef him because he does not want to play for us, it is another to say that he is not better than his equals when he obviously is exposed to excellent coaching and positive training environment, even when they don't play the same positions.

We need to keep tabs on him and secure him as soon as possible. Jurgen Klopp is brilliant in training midfielders as we saw him convert Nuri Sahin from a creative attack midfielder to a deep lying midfielder. Gundogan's development under Klopp was fantastic.

Ovie working with Klopp means he would get better. So, I say we cap and secure him. He is good and definitely a top class prospect.
